Complications

2022-05-22

Bought this to try because of the positive reviews AND to have an extra complication on Carrot Weather, which I love. Yet there is no Fit complication for the infograph faces, only one Carrot complication option displays on the infograph faves. On the old faces it only shows the Fit icon in the complication but won’t change to display an extra weather. Requested a refund since 1/2 the reason I bought this was for weather but that was denied. Don’t buy this if one of your reasons is to have an extra weather complication as it doesn’t work.

There is a but...

CARROTFit is hilarious and definitely makes you want to come back to it (whoever heard of WANTING to workout?!). There are however a few things about it that are not so great.
The actual workout: The first time that I completed this workout, I felt great… Until the next day. I was quite sore and could barely move around without hurting myself. The workout was amazing otherwise.
The money situation: I figured out a few days after using CARROTFit that you can only do one workout every single day, meaning that the only workout that CARROTFit comes with is the 7 Minutes in Hell workout unless you want to pay for more. I found that quite disappointing, since I had to pay $3.99 for CARROTFit in the first place. Apparently all of the CARROT³ apps are this much, and I haven't downloaded in any of the other ones since I have a feeling that they will be quite disappointing as well. Great app otherwise.

Watch app is buggy

2022-07-24

I bought CARROTFit specifically for Apple Watch functionality, and it’s less than stellar. You can’t customize the lengths of the workouts, even though there’s an option to do so. Swiping or scrolling with the Digital Crown doesn’t seem to make a difference. The rings around workouts that tell you length of time are also generally unreliable. The workouts themselves are great, and the concept is amusing, but it’s disappointing that CARROTFit doesn’t work as well as it should, especially for the price.

It’s a good kind of hurt…

Totally digging Carrot’s motivation style. I’m a few days in. I’m gonna do this! Even bought the bonus exercise pack. The one irksome thing is just that, if you’re not already familiar with the exercises, the little instructive animations aren’t very helpful… especially for the more obscure ones. Still, a great app that makes daily exercise accessible to all! Come on, Carrot… make me hurt so good!

I would give 5 stars

2022-09-26

I love CARROTFit . It’s oddly motivating to have (in my case) her talk the way she does to you. I love the exercises and we try to do them everyday. I would like some kind of acknowledgement of reaching goals. Have her point them out in her way. I think that it would be funny to see what her comments would be if you do or don’t reach daily goals.

Useful

2022-10-27

I really like CARROTFit, I use it in along with the Nike Training app and the Zombies Run 5K trainer. The three apps keep my workout varied enough to keep it interesting and I’ve noticed improvements in my overall health. Carrot Fit is handy because it’s only 7 minuets so even on busy days, I don’t have an excuse to not workout. Even a little.
I still have a bit to go, I want to be able to run a whole 5K without walking but I’ll get there!
My only real wish for the carrot fit app would be for it to add a noise of some kind because even with my watch’s haptic feedback I sometimes miss when a circuit is over.
Otherwise it’s a really nice app, even if Carrot is a bit of a jerk (😄)

Hilarious and helpful

2022-11-28

Carrot Fit is one of the only fitness apps I enjoy. It’s great fun, and I feel like the workouts will actually help if I stick with them (they are pretty standard, from what I know).

Sometimes I’m not entirely sure if I’m doing a particular workout the correct way, and I want more info than what’s included in Carrot Fit’s question mark button. It would be helpful if the name of the exercise were included in the info box that appears after the question mark button is pressed, as that would make it easier to look exercises up.

Fun way to exercise, BUT...

2022-12-29

Just bought CARROTFit and tried the 7 minutes in hell workout. It was certainly diabolical as advertised by carrot, so I purchased the booster pack via in-app purchase. However, I did not get any of the booster exercises. I still only have the one exercise. Withholding a star for making me waste extra money after I already paid for CARROTFit . An update that adds an adjustable snark level like the one for carrot weather, would be appreciated.

Fun & Fit

Fun app that tricks you into a regular exercise routine and hitting streaks. The built-in exercises are pretty great, standard HIT ones. The add-on package isn't expensive but it might be nice to have a small amount of variance in the base package to give more of a flavor of what it's like to have more than the minimum number of exercises. (Is it random? Do you choose favorites? Does it cycle through them each day?)

I like the app but..

2023-03-03

I love the idea of CARROTFit and have started using it to help me on my weight loss journey.
The only issue I have so far is the lack of editing for the 7 minutes in hell exercises. Some of the exercises I physically can’t do due to a physical disability. It would be nice if I could either skip or edit out the ones I can’t do so I’m not just waiting around for one I can do.

Like it but don’t love it.

2023-04-01

I like that the workouts are short and strenuous. I am out of shape and need to lose about 20 pounds but exercising isn’t my thing. So doing this silly seven minutes of hell is perfect for me. Overall though I feel like CARROTFit is missing something. I don’t know what that something is but there is something that could make it even better. The dev(s) need to have a brainstorm session.

Hilarious and useful

2023-05-03

She is definitely homicidal and scary, but she makes you laugh throughout workout! Two thumbs up. Then you’ll need a yoga-mindful cheer you up app though!! Haha. CARROTFit comes also in a package with weather, notes, alarm clock (the alarm clock is really beyond hilarious) game and more and I suggest to get them all!

Circuits with a side of sass

2023-06-03

I’ve been using the 7 minutes in hell several times a week for a couple weeks now. Having sound cues and Carrot announcements for the exercises, break times, and rest times makes it a lot easier to do circuits— you don’t have to think, just follow the directions. It gets my heart rate up and gets a good exercise in quickly. The first few times after the intro lesson I would forget that “Kowtows to Kuthulu” means pushups and so forth and have to wait for the image of my meatbag avatar to show me what to do. I enjoy the conceit, though— its more fun running in place if you imagine evil ostriches are after you. And Carrot’s snarky remarks liven up exercise time. I’m definitely getting the expansion pack of more exercises soon.

Coach we all need

2023-07-05

I do Orangetheory and still think some of these workouts are challenging! Love CARROTFit and pretty much all the carrot stuff... Def would recommend if you only have time for a quick workout and want to do something somewhat challenging

One of the best

2023-08-05

First, CARROTFit delivers on the price. It works well with the Apple Watch, alone with iOS, and alone on the Watch.

If you like it enough the exercise booster pack is a smart investment for variety. Given the price of two cups of coffee, I’be gotten a ton of value out of it.

Overall, this is worth every penny. Big fan.

Love CARROT!

2023-09-06

I purchased all of the CARROT apps. I use them all and love the snarky comments! They work great together to help this lowly meatbag get stuff done and keep track of what I’m doing. I look forward to waking up, checking the weather, going over my to do list, getting in a workout, and keeping track of my calories, playing the AI game, and caring for my cat. These apps brighten my day!

Great workout!

2023-10-08

Short workouts that leave you sweating as if you’d been working out for an hour. Definitely need a sense of humor as CARROTFit is not always very nice to you. 24 different exercises keep it interesting and can set it in random mode so it’s not the same order every time. Definitely enjoying CARROTFit !

It’s great for a quicky 😉

2023-11-08

I’ve had CARROTFit for several years now and it’s still entertaining. The added Apple Watch sync is fantastic. Now it automatically starts to record my heart rate when I begin a workout on my phone. You should add more exercises, other than that it’s a great app. For those who complain about its difficulty, in the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger, “stop whining!” 😂

Good for inspiration to continue.

2023-12-10

These are at an intermediate level of difficulty, so if you are out of shape the pace will feel fast. But the dialog is amusing and keeps you inspired to come back for more. The exercises are ones you already know, so there is little learning curve.

The weight tracking combined with a classic routine makes this worthwhile even if you don't want to miss a rep here and there laughing at the commentary.

Hilariously motivating and fun

2024-01-10

Keeps wanting to do more and keep burning calories(let's me know how many I burnt) hilarious terse comments also keep me entertained to just go back on see why carrot will say next😂😂! Cartoonish set up looks fun, simple, easy to keep track of my accomplishments! And the rewards of unlocking level also keeps me motivated to keep doing more and logging in more excercises

No more point

2024-11-18

I used to get level up points for my workouts outside of CARROTFit . Now it just lists the workouts and often does not have the calories burned. So the fun and tracking CARROTFit once provided are now gone. I will probably delete it soon since other apps track everything correctly. Such a shame as I enjoyed the various level goals I would hit.
