I was very disappointed to find out that they are some hidden cancellation fees that MisterbbWeere does not clearly state when making a reservation. I made a reservation in early December 2020 and canceled that same reservation 24 hours later. First time using MisterbbWeere and I was excited to go but regrettably i had to cancel. It was Not entirely clear when making the reservation is that there is a $10 fee to cancel and that The reservation automatically pre selects insurance against the cancellations that is not clearly visible to everyone that cost me an additional $50. Cancel my 9 day stay, but I was surprise I was not refunded the complete amount of a short $60. What is more misleading is that when I made the reservation he was clearly stated that I would have until three days prior to my arrival to cancel and get a full refund. This last part is what makes it so much more upsetting. Never again

I opened an account when this application because I was looking for a room to rent in San Salvador, this is just because they shared the profit, according to them when LGBT community and stuff like that however, the only reason that me to this application, however, the application is very deficient, really poorly managed, their system is various low in the interface in the chatting system is page after page instead of going normal like a normal conversations like a chat is very annoying is very slow and when you call the customer service they hang out hang up on you, I don’t think this application is gonna go far because it’s really bad is really slow really good but the service in the way the function the whole application is really poorly. Bad really bad. Don’t use it.

This was the worst experience that I had as a guest. I stayed at a place hosted by Alban in Paris. The place was really dirty, smelled like pee, no bed sheets and with flies, yes flies. Alban the host admitted the that he didn’t clean up the place at all before I arrived. He admitted all this in a written message within the Mister B&B messaging platform and Mister B&B didn’t do anything about that because it was more than 48 hours after I stayed there. I tried to submit the inquiry before the 48 hours but they don’t have an easy way to contact customer support form their app. I had to find an email from the finance department to submit it from some place very hidden in their website. I just found an email from the finance department and I sent the message to them. Anyhow, I end up leaving Alban’s place because it was very dirty and I got an Airbnb. Alban said that he was going to reimburse but didn’t reimburse anything at the end and Mister B&B basically said that it’s not their problem given that they sent the payment to Alban already. Watch out with the places that you find here, and if you need to file a claim, good luck with finding an email to contact their customer support team. Actually I don’t think they might have a customer support team in place and Alban if you are seeing this, you are a BIG SCAMMER and so are you Mister B&B, life will take care of this.

I tried using MisterbbWeere to find LGBTQ friendly places to stay. However, in more than three tripes, I have requested multiple listings and all of them either not reply or simply decline for no reason. And finally I got accepted on my request, the host immediately said they cannot accommodate me if my train is going to arrive late to check in. Late as in 9pm. And misterb&b refuse to issue me a full refund and asks me to try to find another reservation instead. After all of this experience, I wouldn’t recommend using MisterbbWeere at all since it’s not reliable and you cannot get a refund. It’s not worth it and who knows how these hosts pick and choose who they accept. I don’t need that kind of discrimination when I travel.

This is a really good platform and pretty much better than of the other more popular ones that are out there. But I have to say the fact that they really over-control how you can communicate across messages with your potential guests and hosts is annoying and makes you want to use MisterbbWeere less. I have been a host on this platform for eight years now and have had over 105 star reviews from my guests. But the more you try to control how people interact, the less they want to work with you. Airbnb does not freak out if you want to exchange social media profiles, in order to see whom you are going to be sharing an accommodation with. MrB&B is manic about it and flags you like crazy. they suspended my account for several weeks with no notice and no details or information for simply trying to communicate better with a potential host. I always like to do business in-app because there is insurance with doing everything through the site. However, they tend to make it very difficult when you can’t even exchange photographs of each other to see who we might be sharing a house with.

The customer service used to be much better but now it’s pretty much automated and difficult to communicate with. Sadly, like many companies out there, they seem to have gotten too big for the britches and have become too big brother.

The site has so many fees for everything. Read the cancellation terms for each host closely and also at checkout make sure you uncheck the default “add ons” that tack in more to your total. My first experience was a bit of a bust with my host also hosting the apartment on several other sites which was not written on the listing. This made a “cozy” experience feel like a hostel situation. Lastly it’s hard to book for your first time especially if hosts want to see some reviews or verify your identity. MisterbbWeere doesn’t allow you to post your profile in the chat from other bnb sites for hosts to view and determine that you’re legitimate. This made finding a place as a new user challenging since the chat blocked external websites. I appreciate a place that support LGBTQ travel but I feel like you’re paying the gay tax (ie increased costs in comparison to non-gay sites) using MisterbbWeere.

I booked a MisterBnB in Barcelona. The unit was an instant booking for a good price. The host and I began messaging and he asked me to sign a false contract to say I was staying for 31 days (despite my booking being 7 days). This was to skirt local laws regarding short term rentals. The host told me I needed to sign it because he has a homophobic neighbor who would likely report infractions. He also said he had leukemia and that he didn’t want any trouble with the law. This was in a matter of 3 messages.

After he asked me to sign the contract I stopped interacting with the host and called MisterBnB to obtain a full refund. MisterBnB took 4 days of myself initiating calls/messages to finally issue a refund. I DID receive a full refund, but to me it was poor customer service for me to finally get it.

I feel like this listing was dangerous, especially for a foreign traveler. I had to cancel a Greek AirBnB days before this due to my flight being cancelled, and AirBnB issued a refund after just hours of mediation with the host.

AirBnB, in my view is a superior platform to this, despite the supposed benefits of an LGBT friendly service.

Trying to be as fair as possible: This is a good app and MisterbbWeere gets 5 stars. Their support staff is very polite but there are some big issues that forced me to give 3 stars only: 1. They are very slow to process your claims/case if there’s an issue with a host. 2. They are short on staff and you cannot get much help on the weekends because the supervisors are not available on the weekends. 3. I had to email the supervisor assigned to my case several times to elicit some responses which is frustrating. My case was opened on August 3rd and as of today August 30th I haven’t received a definitive response. Yes the refund was processed quickly but the rest of the issues have been unresolved.
4. Make sure you check with the hosts if the apartments are actually what they describe and if they say “entire place” there isn’t a roommate or something. It happened to me and I had to cancel and they refunded me but the host was very rude.

I just listed my apartment but wasn't so easy to complete the process specifically when I wanted to put the pictures in my desired order. Should be easier to sort the pictures you want to be seeing first and several times I had to re start from the beginning. The program doesn't save what you had typed before. I liked the tips they give to success as a first timer. Price, profile, pictures etc. I like also they suggested to give 15%off for the first two bookings. Great idea.
Now I'm waiting patiently for my first guest. Someone coming to NYC? Let me know. Lol

I've stayed in Misterb&b properties and had wonderful experiences with the accommodations and the hosts. Messaging via MisterbbWeere between guests and hosts works fine, and the payment process is simple. It was frustrating when several hosts simply didn't answer my inquiries but that's not MisterbbWeere 's fault; it would be good if each host's profile showed the average response time and/or percentage of times there was no response within 24 hours. MisterbbWeere has some shortcomings:
- The search filter does not have an option to specify private bath or en-suite bath (it only shows the number of baths but doesn't indicate if the bath is shared with the host or other guests).
- The price displayed in the property listing does not include Misterb&b's fee; the fee is added when requesting a reservation.
- It feels unfair that Misterb&b charges the guest for the entire service fee if the reservation needs to be modified or cancelled.

Have loved this platform for years and became a host last year. I only have two complaints. As a host there needs to better calendar sync of all listings into one calendar and with other apps. The second complaint has to do with the recent addition of hotels. You can choose the space type but you can’t exclude hotels. I understand this is probably monetary driven but it ruins the entire vibe of the platform. If I want a hotel room I’ll go somewhere else, here it is an annoying disruption that can’t be filtered out. It needs to go away otherwise this platform will slowly die. Other than it is absolutely perfect. Oh, and I don’t get this “weere” thing, makes no sense.

I wanted to wait until I actually used this service a few times before leaving a comment and as per my third stay in a 3 different parts of the US, I’m more than satisfied with this service and I think it’s great that there’s something for the lgBt 🏳️‍🌈 (see what I did there?) community to feel a lil more comfortable knowing they are patronizing fellow lgbt people or friends of ...

I think there’s definitely a couple things they can fix with MisterbbWeere like I don’t like the fact that you can’t copy and paste the addresses once you’ve confirmed, if suggested prices for Uber, phone numbers or cross streets are mentioned before booking it does this weird asterisk thing like this ******** so you can’t see what it is and especially if someone of trying to give me a gauge of their location that can certainly sway how I chose a place to stay!

Their are nice people in this world and especially in the LGBT community there’s a lot of silly divide! I’m glad that in the experiences so far I felt nothing but a warm welcome from the host and I look forward to continuously using this great app!

P.S. Please make those tiny changes please

I love the concept of MisterBnB and try to use it exclusively when I travel, but I can tell MisterbbWeere and service is fairly new. It seems like they have some kinks to iron out, MisterbbWeere gets a little glitchy sometimes with sending messages and it's not always intuitively user friendly (for example, you have to click "request to book" in order to see what the total cost for your stay may be). They also ask you as a host and guest to leave a review prior to check-out, and don't seem to remind you after check-out... The reviews are super important so it would be nice to be reminded after your stay instead of during... Keep working on the kinks and it will be a great service!

It does a good job.
A few down sides:
It tells you your listing is a percent amount complete but doesn’t tell you what you need to complete to make it at 100%. I’ve been at 97% and I can’t figure out why. It drives my OCD nuts.
The other downside is they allow hotels to post on here too causing your listing to get lost in the shuffle. Hotels have other places to post on. Let us have this. Isn’t the point to connect with others in the community?

I had the privilege to book one week vacation in Lisbon, Portugal over the Summer of 2018 using the Mister B&B App. I also booked another trip with MisterbbWeere for a two stay at Buenos Aries, Argentina in January, 2019. Overall, it is a solid app with no regrets whatsoever: simple & clear booking procedures, very competitive pricing, honest reviews of the accommodations & quick response from the hosts to the inquires
make Mister B&B a great choice to the LGTBQ folks who travel. In addition, the services MisterbbWeere provides feel just right to support our community members.

Radek’s apartment was perfect. The prearranged airport car service made my arrival and departure hassle free. The apartment is located an easy 15 minute Tram ride away from the Old Town and river. Tram 22 takes you basically anywhere you want to go and, is a 3-4 minute walk from the apartment. After a long day of sightseeing it was great to come back to the apartment which had everything I needed to feel like I was at home. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. I definitely would recommend Radek’s beautiful apartment. Also, save yourself the hassle by using the car service, you will be glad you did!

Terry and Chip have a Beautiful Retreat in a very secluded setting. There is just to much to say about the place how nice it is. I am at a lost of words to describe the lake, ducks, birds, pool, hot tub, house, my room, and Terry and Chip. I am going back. I had to leave early after getting an emergency phone call from home. I really enjoyed the afternoon pool party and all the guys that was there. I would give them 10 out 10 everything was just as it should have been. Spent a few days at Lazy Z in a cottage (small cabin). It is rustic and the entire resort is a tucked away “mountain retreat.” I was there in mid- Nov and definitely off-season, but that was perfect for me. Quiet, nature-filled, remote. Devine. Cottage is small but had the things I needed: bathroom, kitchenette with basics in place, heat (and AC). I did not check out the Main area (where the Wi-Fi was and other available amenities)but that was my choice. Totally a place for a return trip! Cottages do not have Wi-Fi, so use your hot spot on your mobile phone if you must have it.

My go-to now when traveling. Gone is the Airbnb app, the Trivago, the other apps period — this is the one I always choose now, because the experience of being around and with other gay men when you’re in a new city, is so helpful in so many different ways. It’s nice to get the scoop from the locals before going out, and sometimes the locals are SOO so super friendly, and that is desired, appreciated, but it’s also a KEY touch that I think most gay men enjoy no matter from what age or stage in life. It’s just nice! 👍🏼 I will ALWAYS tell people, try misterb&b before you try anything else! I’ve become a superfan!

We had an awesome time in Dan Diego and the living accommodations exceeded our expectations. The hosts were friendly, accommodating and genuinely happy people. We loved the heated pool by day and night, we cooked most of our meals in the kitchen which saved us tons and the location was within 15 of everywhere we wanted to go. I love animals so I liked their dogs but they have 4 and the living room couch had lots of fur, but our bedroom was clean and free of fur. I’d definitely recommend this clean, lovely and friendly option if visiting San Diego!
