No working

The new version of DMNSeCard did not retain my device registration from the previous version. This would only be a minor irritation were I able to resubmit my credentials and re-register the device. Unfortunately DMNSeCard briefly displays the login screen then immediately, without allowing any user input, presents the register new account screen which asks me to create a new account. I should not need to create a new account. My member number and purchase history are already associated to my existing account and might be lost or at least inconvenient to access after creating a new account just for DMNSeCard. Please fix this issue. Thanks!

No card for me?

When my husband and I signed up for the family plus membership we both listed an email but he was the only one to get an email with instructions for DMNSeCard . When trying to use DMNSeCard it says my email is unrecognized. I can pull up his but I don’t know if the museum will even let me in with this. Terrible design to have two people be able to use the membership but only one log in to actually access it. I hate to think of the nightmare for people that choose to add a 3rd or 4th adult to their account.

Doesn’t work in the least

Not even able to download your membership card for entrance. You would think at minimum you could purchase and save your tickets on DMNSeCard to be scanned once you arrive. Nope. It’s strange how such a sophisticated and large city museum has no usable app. It’s been bad for years and only declined.

Terrible

This is a horrible app, if you have a membership it will say you don’t, DMNSeCard is extremely laggy as well. Just overall not a good app and need to look into a better developer or something.

Not Currently Working

The sign-in “token” process does not work consistently.

And once you are in DMNSeCard , the e-card doesn’t show up. We have to go to the front desk every time.

It worked last year ok. Something’s up.

2016 Version

Other reviewers are correct here, DMNSeCard DOESNT work anymore. Wish I wouldn't have done the last update. I liked having the ecard. I am also getting the "phone not connected to a network" error some of the time. Other times it flashes the sign screen for a second and goes straight to the create new account screen. We have a family membership and I'm not creating additional passwords just to use the ecard.

Absolute garbage

This is a horrific mess. You are better off taking a screenshot of your barcode.

No Maps. No Experience Details

Using latest available version of iOS: 17.3.1 on iPhone SE 2nd Gen.

Dreadful app

So many problems. First off, you can only register DMNSeCard on one device at a time, so if you have a family membership, and, say, one parent who doesn' t have DMNSeCard on their phone wants to take the kids — you'll have to deregister one device to have it on the other person's.

There is no true login screen, so to "login" you are instead sent to a registration screen, which is confusing because it makes it seem as if you are creating a new account, even if you already have one. You even need to type in the password twice AND know your member number — just to log in! And if while logging in you forget your password, you'll never get the reset email that allows you to change the password — you'll need to go to the site from a computer or browser.

DMNSeCard also requires you to be online for it to work, so say your cell reception drops, which can happen frequently while IN the museum — you may have problems accessing tickets or getting into exhibits where a card is required. As a result, make sure you open DMNSeCard BEFORE going into the museum and keep it open just in case your reception drops and DMNSeCard no longer becomes accessible.

New version broken

DMNSeCard was never fancy, but at least it worked. Now I can't even sign in with my membership. It wants me to create an account, but we already have one. A screen briefly flashes at launch that looks like it might have the button I want to tap, but as soon as I see it, it slides over to another screen as if something else was tapped and I can't get back.

Even deleting and reinstalling DMNSeCard doesn't fix this problem. Very disappointing.

Almost Zero Functionality

DMNSeCard doesn’t display my membership card anymore. I signed out and logged in several time, even deleted and reinstalled DMNSeCard , and still nothing. I have to login to my account thru Safari to get the card barcode. I also can’t see what tickets I’ve purchased or have left to use. It’s just pretty terrible.

App no longer works

I had DMNSeCard in early January 2016 and it worked fine, in fact we used it to go to the museum. Then DMNSeCard upgrades and now it does not work. I keep getting an error message that I am not connected to a network, even though my phone says 4G on it. I get the same error message at home when connected to Wifi and I got the same message standing in the museum lobby connected to their Wifi. So the issue is clearly within DMNSeCard itself. Good luck with it.

Stupid sign in process

Let's see. DMNS keeps sending mail saying they want us to only use DMNSeCard and not our plastic cards. To sign into DMNSeCard with an existing account you have to know your previous email, password and membership number, which is only on the card! I logged into the web site from my phone and never could find my membership number.

My wife cannot create an account to register a card because I already did. We can only sign into DMNSeCard on one device at a time so she is stuck using the card unless I sign out and let her follow the dumb registration process with my ID.

Other than that it seems to work.

Does not store information

Every time I have logged in since the new system began, my membership information is gone. I have to input it, again. I may ask next time I am there for a plastic card because this is just irritating.

Used to be much better

I just loaded the latest version of DMNSeCard on my new iPhone 6s, and it refuses to load on anything but a wifi network. Even when I have an LTE data connection that is faster than the museum's own wifi service, DMNSeCard says I need to be on a high speed network to use it. It won't even show the barcode that the docents use to scan for admission to the museum, making the eCard essentially worthless. Did nobody test DMNSeCard before releasing it?

Great App

Great app and I am appreciative that all of my tickets are in one place especially now that every exhibit has a different ticket.
However you do really need to add a feature where I can cancel individual tickets if needed through DMNSeCard . It is highly inconvenient to have to call the museum and wait on hold to cancel anything.

Only works on wifi but good app

I downloaded DMNSeCard on my wifi and it works perfectly and easy to find what's needed. I only gave 4 starts cause I think it's ridiculous that it doesn't work on cellular networks, hopefully they eventually upgrade that. I even went under cellular, in iPhone settings, to see if I could turn on cellular use for DMNSeCard but it wasn't even listed there. But like I said the wifi issue is the only issue I've found.

Great update to the app!

Been using DMNSeCard since it's first release. This most recent update fixes many of the earlier quirks on registering my device. Also, the Facebook sign-in makes it way easier to use! I love that I can redeem my free tickets and send them to friends right from my phone.

Not that bad

Yes it needs an update, but it does what it is supposed to.

Super useful!

What a handy app to use around DMNS! My favorite aspect is being able to redeem the Science Lounge tickets that are included with the Young Professionals Membership! I also love that you can send tickets to a friend. Way sleek!
