I have been on Genius for a few years now. I am on multiple devices. I am not sure what device it was, but I had saved a large number of songs and their lyrics and music videos where available. Suddenly almost all of them have disappeared. This is very annoying as I love singing along with the lyrics of songs . Any ideas why this happened and is it possible to get these missing songs back please?. Thank you. I have always found Genius a great asset. Alistair Clarke, South Wales, UK.

7/14/22 - yesterday, the Genius App on my Samsung phone worked fine. Today, every time I tried to use the App, it reads, "server error, try again."

How to fix Genius app crashes or not working on Iphone (iOS):

Close and restart the Genius app on iPhone
Update Genius app to the Latest Version for iOS
Uninstall and reinstall Genius iPhone app
Update your iPhone to the latest iOS version

Fix Genius on iPhone unable to connect to server/internet connection issues::

To resolve Genius network issues, Reset phone network settings:
1. On iphone, goto Settings » General » Reset » Reset Network Settings.
2. Enter device passcode » confirm [Reset Network Settings].

Turn off iphone VPN:
1. Goto Settings » General » VPN

Genius Android App Issues and Solutions

Fix Genius not working on Android, crashes, errors or is unresponsive:

Force Stop the Genius App
1. On android, goto Settings » Genius » click [Force Stop]

Update Genius to the latest version on PlayStore

Clear Genius App Cache and Data:
1. On android, goto Settings » Apps » Genius » Storage » click [Clear Data] option. This clears both data and cache.
2. restart Genius.

Fix Genius unable to contact server/ Genius internet connection errors on Android:

On android, goto Settings » Apps or Manage Apps tab.
Click Genius » [Force Stop]
Next, goto Storage » click [Clear Data]
Again, goto Genius » Mobile Data » [Allow Background Data Usage].
Go back to Settings » Connections » Mobile Network » Network Mode. Change the network to 4G e.g. LTE/3G/2G (auto connect)
Relaunch Genius
