For Beginners

I just started in the shooting world in order to get my CCW. I started about 2.5 months ago by searching the internet/YouTube looking for sites that concentrated on CCW.
I lucked on the Guardian site. The site provided me, a total rookie, with the basic information I needed to start the training required to start shooting. Safety training for guns, gun reviews, how to shoot, from stance to pulling the trigger.
Their site provided an avenue to an IPhone app for CCW training. I received a 10-day free trial to CCWGuardian . After studying CCWGuardian for a few days, I realized this is what I had been searching the web to find. The price for a year is very cheap for what you receive. You can store gun information, CCW info, record and log training, read gun reviews and much more.
I am not good at keeping a written diary on gun training, but have no trouble using their app to record my training sessions.

So in conclusion, sign up for CCWGuardian . Best money you will spend to start you CCW training, or just to start and record you entry in to the world of shooting. The price of CCWGuardian is cheaper than a one hour shooting lesson at the range and can be used over and over.

App Stopped Syncing with Server

App stopped syncing 88 days ago. Please address this or at least acknowledge there is an issue. Paying for an app with no support is frustrating. Been using it for quite some time. Hopefully is fixed soon.

Thanks to this app

Hi
I just wanted to say thank you for having used your app.
Most people think that the worst thing that can happen to a CCW holder is having to use your gun well this may be true I’ve never had to use it myself but have had to pull it in a bad situation so I do know how it feels thank god ive never had to pull trigger

But the second thing is LOOSING your ccw and that’s what happens to me and thanks to my ccw app I was able to quickly report to police model and serial numbers with a picture of the gun I lost although I’m not sure if I will ever see my pistol I’m so glad CCWGuardian made it much easier to tell police
Thank you

App stopped syncing

CCWGuardian has stopped syncing. CCWGuardian won’t take my info for a lot of guns I have tried to enter on CCWGuardian . Info and logs are often lost. App randomly said I wasn’t a member anymore and also would not let me renter card info to continue membership. Was a great app when I started using it several years ago but had nothing but down hill since. Customer service is a joke as well there pretty much is none that I have seen, no phone number and no responds to emails

Don’t use this app

I made the mistake of using CCWGuardian for over a year. All of my information including firearms, training records and permits vanished. Not after an update or after logging out, just opened it one day and everything was blank. I contacted the so called “customer support”. Sent 3 emails, all of which were ignored. I sent an email to the developers which was also ignored.
Functionally CCWGuardian is ok but what’s the point of using it if everything you put in it disappears. Don’t use it!!!

Very good and useful application

I’ve been using it since it was still a beta app. As an instructor I’ve logged I’ve 11,000 shots so far. Keep up the great job! Thanks

While a nice app

And does good I just don't see my self using it. I shoot way too much and it is more time consuming to use CCWGuardian . I do find it very hard to unsubscribe once you have subscribed

App not working, doesn’t recognize my login, I get an “unspecified error” when trying to reset password and website 502’s when requested. What is the problem??

Now not syncing, states “my trial expired”? I was a “protected member” tried to pay again “warning already subscribed”. loss all my CCW weapons and training logs. NO RESPONSE TO EMAILS TO CUSTOMER SERVICE OR IN APP MESSAGES....WE READ AND RESPOND WHAT BS. Run, run away!!

Fist Time Using

I just started to use CCWGuardian so I am still trying to figure it out and learn how it works. The one big thing that I noticed right away was that CCWGuardian would not work without Internet connection...I was in the mountains shooting...no connection : (

Really wanted to get into this

I was excited about finding a tool to track my training and progress. I'm on board with the reasons for doing so.

But I've received too many emails, and feel immediate pressure to subscribe at $5 / month. My "trial has expired" in less than a week?? And give us your credit card to protect your membership. No, thank you!

I wish it wasn't so internet based.
I'd much rather pay for an app outright and manage my own info.

Has bugs that they aren't fixing...

Got CCWGuardian months ago and really like the overall design but it has some critical bugs that make it unusable for me. The log timer stops when the phone locks or when switching apps so you have to keep it open and disable auto lock which drains a lot of battery. Using a timer is silly anyway, they should just allow us to log a specific amount of time manually. Also, choosing a specific expiration date on your license doesn't work. I filed bugs for these issues and they did reply saying that they would address them but it has been months and they have not addressed any of them so I've stopped using CCWGuardian and won't use it again until they update it.

Good Idea, Poor Execution

Over a period of two years or so, I tried to find CCWGuardian serviceable. It’s a great idea, ruined by having all my data deleted repeatedly, and NEVER getting a response to an e-mail about it. I deleted CCWGuardian , hoping someone else will create one that works.

Great app

CCWGuardian is Detrimental to keeping great not just good tabs on all my Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Yearly logs on my shooting styles and guns! Thank you !

Excellent Tool and Resource

Excellent product use it all the time

Abandoned - lost all data

used to be good, but developers stopped updating with no communication to customers. Put a lot of time and effort into logging range tine and weapons only to be lost...fun.

By

No response from developer

Sent several emails with questions, but have never received a response. So much for the claim “we read and respond to every message.”

Unique and Complete

I used to keep a spiral notebook in my range bag so I could keep a reasonalbe log of my practice at the range and then eventaully transfer it onto a spreadsheet on my computer. I kept seperate recods of rounds fired and a seperate folder on my computer with pictures of my targets. It was a better system than most people I knew had but it was honestly a jumbled mess. CCWGuardian puts all of those features and more in your back pocket! It's cool to be able to access pictures or your gun and targetss, serial numbers, rounds fired and everything else included in CCWGuardian in one place. The data entry is very simple and straightforward. Also, if you ever have questions or suggestions, CCWGuardian team actually responds. I've personally recommended CCWGuardian to every shooter I know. This is the best app of it's kind I've seen. I would give it 6 stars if that were possible. Hoorah for CCW Guardian! I think you have helped me to become a better prepared and more responsible gun owner!

Very Nice Program!

Full featured! I like that I can keep track of range time. Trust me, that is golden should you ever be called to court for a defensive shooting. I've already made some simple suggestions to the creators for future updates....like being able to rotate my gun pic.
I'd also like the ability to email my firearm collection to myself to print out. I know I could do an XLS spreadsheet so if that's a hassle to incorporate forget it. So far my use has been to log a few range sessions and log my guns. If the snow ever melts...more range time .... More useage.
How about a note pad to track bullets/grains/brass used by reloaders?
Overall, like it very much. Thanks . Worth the money.
Can't believe how quick the developers answer email questions!

Pretty Good

This seams to be a good app for keeping track of your training and cleaning times. However are they giving this info over to big brother so they can no how many and what kind of guns you have. I have nothing to hide I own my guns legally but it's none of there business and if the day ever comes the government wants to knock at your door and just say we want your ---- and your---- also hand over your ----- guns. It just seams a little fishy to me. Hmmmm I usually keep my serial #s and info written down somewhere incase of a break in. But who's to say this is not a government run app who just want all your firearm info without us knowing😬I'm going to hold of on putting all my info into it until I find out a little more about it but I'll give it 4 stars
