Update: I’m surprised there are so many glowing reviews for GamingNewsandReviews. It never works the way it’s supposed to. Completely unrelated articles will be grouped together as one but there’s no way of knowing that unless you view the entire group manually. Even when there’s only one article, ungrouped, I frequently see comments that have nothing to do with the article. What are they seeing that I’m not? Sometimes I’ll load GamingNewsandReviews and only about ten articles will show up even though I’m viewing “All News”. Even rebooting GamingNewsandReviews doesn’t fix it. Recently they started including Reddit posts in the article list and it’s very clear there’s nothing of value in them. Other site, when trying to load them through GamingNewsandReviews , won’t load or crash. There’s no point to GamingNewsandReviews unless you feel like IGN just isn’t reporting on enough.

Now whenever it's open, at the bottom this black box says "Welcome back" and won't go away, so I can't touch any of the buttons under it. Even though I get this welcome message, it doesn't seem to be signing me on because whenever I try to comment, I get an error message. There doesn't seem to be a way to sign in or out anywhere in GamingNewsandReviews . So if you don't want any personalization or social interaction, sure GamingNewsandReviews is great. I just want it to work like it did before I updated.

The last “ update” throws a full screen ad after opening, after every article , display going to sleep, switching from another all, then just random while you are reading an article. It’s like they actively are trying to get you to not use it. I used to read everyday but find myself so annoyed at the ads being thrown at you that I’m pretty close to just deleting…way to ruin a good app with excessive advertisements. Hope that extra revenue makes up for the loss of users!

When you open GamingNewsandReviews , you’re interrupted with a full screen ad. As you’re scrolling through articles, you’re interrupted with a full screen ad. After reading an article and returning to the news list, you’re interrupted with a full screen ad.

I’ve had GamingNewsandReviews for a long time, but the ads have just gotten obnoxious. I have uninstalled GamingNewsandReviews and won’t be returning.

The adds have become so intrusive GamingNewsandReviews is almost un usable. Adds will pop up every 20 seconds even in the middle of articles, and many of them will not go away for over 30 seconds. GamingNewsandReviews used to be great. But now 5 minutes of browsing will allow you 1 minute of reading chopped up by piles of different adds, that will not allow you to exit them for ridiculous amounts of time. I’ve had GamingNewsandReviews for years and I’m giving you a week or 2 tops to fix this. Because it is borderline scamming. It is almost impossible to use the free version of GamingNewsandReviews at this point.

I have had GamingNewsandReviews for the last five years. Lately the comment section has turned political and conservative leaning. The people who run GamingNewsandReviews protect those that trash liberals. Had to delete it because they refuse to regulate it based on their own rules. If you hate liberals and want to join in on the hate, GamingNewsandReviews is for you. Very disappointed in the Conservative NewsFusion company when the comments should be about games and not anti vaxx and right wing garbage

Gaming News without warning removed the ability to comment on articles with this latest update. It was a feature that kept me engaged with GamingNewsandReviews and its removal will lessen the enjoyment I experience when using it. Instead of removing comments entirely, why not lean in to AI moderation and enhanced filters for the user to tailor the experience to their liking?

This used to be my favorite app to use for video game info. Used to be no annoying ads which was great. Then they added an ad when you opened GamingNewsandReviews the first time, ok that’s fine, I understand they have to make money. Now I can’t even scroll or click on any articles without being bombarded with endless ads. GamingNewsandReviews is worthless now after many years of using it. I will be deleting.

Any time I start it up works fine for about 3 seconds and then freezes up. I also miss the option to have GamingNewsandReviews start up with “my topics” being the default page, because that’s all I care about; a bit of a personal gripe but I can see this upsetting other people. Ive also noticed some comments floating around to articles they aren’t originally for. I love GamingNewsandReviews but I just want to see it become better. Also getting notifications for articles I have no interest in is pretty annoying too.

When I first installed GamingNewsandReviews I was able to get to any tile and see what I wanted to see with was. Since the update, seconds after opening GamingNewsandReviews it lags then freezes. On many occasions it crashes and starts back up and then freezes. This is both on the main page and notifications for stories I would like to read and then within the stories. This all since the last update. I was a daily user but now it is not worth the hassle until it is fixed.

Used to work fine other than some lag/freezing when scrolling, but lately there are times it shows no stories. Closing GamingNewsandReviews or changing the feed sorting order doesn't fix it either.. just have to give up and try again later.

GamingNewsandReviews has the basic structure. You can downvote topics or block news sources. GamingNewsandReviews needs a dark mode for sure. It feels clunky and like something from 2010. There is community commenting but do yourself a favor and hide comments. It’s nothing but mysogynist and racist comments. Tons of immature flame wars against what console is better, and you can rate articles by “awesome “can’t wait” “crap” etc. However when you let a toxic community rate articles everything basically gets rated the opposite it should be. Clearly the toxic part of the community found a safe place in GamingNewsandReviews. Honestly the community part should just go. Use that effort to make other parts of GamingNewsandReviews better.

The Awesome, LOL, Crap, etc system is fun as are comments.

But when a post celebrating LGBTQ inclusivity in gaming gets 17 “craps” (vs 2 “awesomes”) as well as three insensitive or hateful comments, it becomes a problem.

This pattern repeats with racial inclusivity posts as well. The pattern is such a sad reflection of the gaming community. The lack of moderation is part of the problem.

The ads are the most annoying part. If Im listening to my own music while reading I dont want to get kicked out of my music for obnoxious ad music. Would rate higher if you fixed that.

Have to click through an ad at startup, and see “sponsored stories” in amongst the real stories, but GamingNewsandReviews gets the job done better than any of the other free ones I’ve used (Appy Gamer, looking at you...). It would be nice if you didn’t have to open so many of the news stories in a browser, and if you could better categorize the content displayed, but it’s good overall. Would definitely recommend.

Great app! Awesome filters, just missing widgets, I was looking a video games news to put in my “games page” to fit in the 2 top lines and this one is perfect but no widgets, I wish to someday you will add it, thanks for your work!

The stories don't always load - the screen will show nothing - tried to delete and reinstall

I have to say that this is my favorite app on my phone right now. I love video games and the stream in GamingNewsandReviews keeps me up to date on all of the new game news. I've tried other "gaming news" apps but they just didn't compare to this one. I use GamingNewsandReviews at least a few times a day to read up on anything I may have missed. Thanks to the developers of GamingNewsandReviews !

GamingNewsandReviews has been my go to source for gaming news for years now, it makes it way easier then having to go to every website to find general news on games. I also like that you can rate the different articles and comment on them through GamingNewsandReviews . I finally just went ad free lol

GamingNewsandReviews is a great, informative news source for gamers. Love how there is a community aspect to it as well as updates frequently about release dates, new games, features, etc. Was very happy to find an app like this, keep up the great work!

I cannot recommend GamingNewsandReviews enough if you have an even passing interest in gaming. In addition to be an excellent source of news just about gaming, the developers are clearly dedicated to their app. This is the definitive gaming news app that I've found; a must have.
