first off, the new features of StromerOMNI only show km/ kmh. my units are set to miles - was that really missed in testing?!? (which is why i rated it one star)
secondly, StromerOMNI basically targets just maintaining your bike/ settings. i would expect it to provide MUCH more feedback in today’s world of data. i would be happy with just the basics, such as:
- tracking routes on a map (the bike already tracks via gps)
- trending amount of motor usage throughout a route vs speed/ etc to show my effort.
- various helpful ways to display that data, perhaps considering an integration with third party apps like stravia
so much potential, yet so far to go.
I believe that bike/app integration is completely broken. Connections to the bike fail most of the time and StromerOMNI always tells me that the Stromer I'm sitting on is 1km away. Unusable!
After updating to the latest version of StromerOMNI , I can no longer get StromerOMNI to open. It opens a screen with the Stromer OMNI logo but just sits there spinning. It used to work perfectly ... this update has crippled it.
On every IOS update looses connectivity to
ST 5....
Deleting and reinstalling app resolves the problem.

It’s weak. Extremely weak for a purpose built cycle and application. Frankly, screenshots of the crandroid version appear to have more control and feedback. What is up with that? GPS usability on IOS? Nada. Zip. It’s pathetic. Usage feedback? OMG. It’s like sending a warranty card back on your RCA color television from the 1980’s. This for a $7K purchase? Personally, I think I drove off with the bike and lost over half the value immediately. Shame on me for believing the BS, shame on Stromer for selling it as is.
A wonderful app that does just what is says. You can remotely lock and unlock the bike, trace it with GPS on a map, customize the #2 assist level, report it stolen, and more. Terrific.
The only improvement would be the ability to reset the trip meter. It is something I do before every ride, but it is buried two or three menus deep on the bike. Trip meter reset should be on StromerOMNI too.
Who wouldn't want a bike that can use your phone as a remote? Plus the bike is beautiful. I want one!
