I purchased the lightning digital AV adapter to be able to view my iPad content onto my Sony TV. Once I followed the directions and connected everything I get a message to download EZCast to make the dongle work so I do. Unfortunately, after trying repeatedly to get the system functioning I finally resort to reading all of the fine print with EZCast and it requires that the iPad and TV be on the same network. My TV is hardwired to my router while my iPad is on a wireless signal, this is why I needed the adapter in the first place and didn’t just go with a screen casting app in the first place. That I was forced to download a useless app after purchasing a product that was supposed to bypass that very issue is beyond frustrating

It all started with a piece of hardware named MiraScreen Wire. You connect it up and it does nothing. There’s a hidden button to press that does nothing (blank TV screen). The sloppy instruction “booklet” then refers to this app. Ok, downloaded that from the Apple store. Still nothing. And then updated the firmware, which provided yet ANOTHER product name: MiraPlug. Then, EZCast talks about a whole range of products, none of which look like or are named MiraScreen! And it directs you to many videos and “forum” posts— again, none of them are useable AT ALL!

All I got from this crap was a blank TV screen and frustration. Can we sue this guy, Henry Chou, whose name appears as moderator of the forums? Or maybe we should sue the developer, Chih Yang Chen? Because, this is a......

EZCast this app is still at 85% of my process request. The connect option isn’t doin anything on the this app; it’s not connecting the device to the tv. I bought the Miraplug and download EZCast this app and it is not working for my iPhone 6s Plus. The “trust the computer” sign does not pop up. When I connect the MiraPlug to my phone, it’s just charging my phone. EZCast is no help. The MiraPlug device is not working at all, I’m just really disappointed that I bought the MiraPlug and downloaded EZCast this app and did nothing/ not working for my phone. I really wish it did work because I would love to use the product and EZCast too.

I don’t understand why i have to buy an app from a third party company to use what looks to be an apple product in appearance. And the “best part” is i bought this product and app used all the methods they provided for assistance and it still doesn't work. All i got was the same thing and that was the trust this device pop up option and then nothing happened after that. And i also trying to stream a video and its not working it just buffers and then pops up a notification saying “unable to load this content.” I am going to stop wasting my time with this adapter and EZCast and just buy Apple tv and avoid the hassle.

When I first opened EZCast , it showed a picture of my screen that didn’t move, then asked me to connect to a hotspot. The hotspot never showed up, so I unplugged my phone but left the dongle plugged in to sit while I did other things. When I came back, I reopened EZCast , where I got an update notice. This update is what allows the dongle to work, and after it updated everything worked perfectly. It lost a star for requiring the time, but other than that there’s no problems and it works fast.

So it seems that if you upgrade iPhone to a iPhone 7 then suddenly this wire is useless, it won’t let me do anything after hitting “trust this computer” it just does nothing... I’ve tried and have read everything and everything says iPhone 4 and UP. I was happy with this but disappointed after getting another iPhone...

The iPhone connection end was loose and would intermittently charge, the adapter would bring up the picture but no audio. Sending this back. Guess I’ll have to pay the extra dollars to buy the real Apple device.
***Got an email, I followed directions and now it works. 4 stars because it shouldn’t need an update right out of the package. Thanks for the quick response.

I’ve tried VIRTUALLY EVERY ios casting app that exists (independent of vendor’s hardware dongles).... EZ Cast is by far the best AND easiest to use I’ve used.... period.
I’m currently using it with Chromecast. Works beautifully, & offers LOTS more features than Google’s own Chromecast app. I had no luck trying to update the firmware on the wired HDMI dongle that came with my projector (I suspect not EZ Cast’s problem), so as a long shot, I thought I’d try it with Chromecast and WOW!!

Have had miraline for a few months now, was able to mirror the screen of my phone to the five a few times then all of a sudden the screen would not connect but the sound would. I researched and found that my dongle needed updated through EZCast so I did. Now my phone will not even connect at all. I have researched and tried many different things to try to get it to work and nothing has come of this effort. I’m very disappointed. Many hours have been wasted trying to get this to work. This has been an extremely frustrating experience!

Bought an HDMI adapter to watch Netflix on a hotel TVs while traveling. I tried it on 10 different TVs in 10 hotels. It did not work on a single one. Not user friendly at all. No directions. Found out it wanted me to download an app through trial and error - just to find out EZCast doesn’t work either. It puts a picture of what is on your phone on the TV and that’s it - and that picture never goes away, even though video is playing on the phone or iPad. Unplugged everything to start over - same picture is stuck and won’t go away.

I needed a 2nd monitor connected to my iMac. This was one of the few products available that specifically said it works with the MacOS. It does! I am able to have a 2nd monitor.
The only reason this is not a 5-star rating is because the supporting documentation did not help with setup. In fact, it was confusing and did not apply to what I needed to do.

I bought a this app plug in that connects straight to iOS this is my second time buying the product this first one wouldn’t connect to iOS at all and the one I have now doesn’t connect anymore I’m guessing because I updated my products this is terrible I have looked at all your videos and platforms of information to get it to work it simply doesn’t it’s not fair to the consumer for you to be selling a product that does not work obviously based on the comments below it has never worked

My wife and I walked into a karaoke phone booth in Taipei last night and downloaded EZCast to sing together. We paid for 3 songs on the machine, got halfway through the first one before an ad showed up in EZCast that looked so much like it was part of EZCast that I clicked the “Next” button. It redirected out of EZCast , disconnected the machine and wouldn’t let us finish the song or sing the other two songs we had paid for. App is a scam just to make money on you clicking on ads, takes your money at the karaoke machine to boot.

Update: had to totally erase and then reload the iPhone. Once completed, the device works great. Lost a star for confusing and conflicting documentation, and no W10 support.

Initial review: “Updated app, updated firmware, but this app keeps asking for Personal Hotspot even though the Personal Hotspot is enabled in the iPhone Settings app. Also tried the Repair Tool, but the W10x64 drivers won’t install.”

I’ve got a dongle from eBay and it was working fine until I‘ve “forced” to install the last update of IOS (13). all what I did was just scan the QR that appears on my tv when I connect the dongle and install EZCast, then EZCast update the firmware of the dongle and it start working well again.

I don't understand it. It's seems something in either the iPhone or the smart tv blocked it from working. It stinks. It was great to use for the two months I had it. I was using the mirascreen plug and play. I've never had to download or upgrade anything. I haven't changed phones. It worked amazing as I just plug and played and now when I plug my phone in the mirascreen cord isn't even saying "trust this computer/device)" app support please help. I've never had to upgrade or use an app before

This device’s lamp does not work. The instructions are confusing. It told us to download EZCast. EZCast has not made any difference. It can charge my phone, however, this was not purchased to charge my phone. It was purchased to project from my phone and computer. I rated a 1-star only because we were required to give at least one start. Between the device not working and the horrible instructions, I rate this device a zero.

This cable has a simple job, output an HDMI Video output from a phone to an HDMI input on a monitor. I suppose the design of the cable and EZCast are supposed to work together. They do. Between the time you receive it, to the time hook it up, it accomplished alot - wasting time and any money. There should be no need for QR Codes, Apps, or a complete absence of Documentation. It makes me suspicious of Spyware. I ordered the Apple adaptor, a little pricey, but drama free and it works. EZCast and the cable = JUNK. Walmart and Apple will be hearing from us.

EZCast is buggy, the “support” videos are the worst I have seen. You get told to “go to settings” “press update”
There is no update.
On the video, he will rush through 5 steps with no explanation and my screen looks totally different, so there is 0 chance of understanding what he is doing.
Upgrade cannot be done if you have a newer iOS, so I got the oldest devise and it cannot do an upgrade either!
Just for the trash! I have the wire device so advertised as stable and easy. Rubbish it is!

I bought the this app after not being able to afford internet or cable anymore. I was excited, but it only lasted for a day. The next time I plugged my IPhone X in, nothing. I can see my iPhone on the device list, but the icon is grey. I have tried the reset, but nothing helps. Turned the phone off and unplugged everything multiple times. The trust device does not appear and it won’t allow any updates. It was fun for a day, but a waste of my hard earned money.
