Enjoy the fact that Pokemon created PlayPokémonAccess and I was hoping that when they updated the website event locator that this was due to PlayPokémonAccess having the previous sort by date/distance option. I am disappointed Pokemon is not wanting to make it easier for competitors to view which tournaments they can attend quickly and now players are forced to waste 30 minutes or more trying to find a tournament they can go to in the week or month. Under the previous version I was able to view which tournaments I can go to in under 5 minutes. Enjoy PlayPokémonAccess but PlayPokémonAccess does not change my main reason for using the event locator.

PlayPokémonAccess needs to allow viewing of events directly and sorting them by date. It’s unreasonable to force users to manually search store-by-store. Also, search radius should be at least up to 100mi instead of the current 50; many competitors are willing to drive more than 50mi

Assuming with time PlayPokémonAccess will get better but to release without the ability to sort by date and easily check distance is just sad. Worse than the previous event locator functionality. In its current state, PlayPokémonAccess is just a store locator. How was this approved for release is beyond my understanding.

In launching PlayPokémonAccess, they removed a lot of critical functionality that was previously available on the Play! Pokemon events page, increasing the effort required for competitive players substantially. Basic functionality like sorting events by date is gone. We can no longer search for events further than 50miles. It’s probably fine for casual players just looking to attend league near home, but the competitive players that travel to win their Worlds invite can’t use this. It doesn’t even support multiple accounts so parents that play alongside their kids or parents with multiple kids have to juggle log ins. Hopefully a lot of this functionality is added over time but we can’t even rely on 3rd party websites (like pokedata.ovh) that used the old API for this as it appears those APIs were shut down at launch.

Put back sort by DISTANCE AND DATE 🙏😭

Should have an option to bookmark upcoming events for easier access to event info and scheduling.
Championship points are also not displayed properly but the same issue exists on the website so probably not an problem with PlayPokémonAccess .

2 things to be a perfect app. The first is to make events searchable by dates and second is if somehow you guys create a feature to add the events that we find to our phone calendars… perfection.

This is a long awaited app that brings so many tools into one place. I can’t wait to see what they do next but all of these tools are great. Badges for attendance and themes make PlayPokémonAccess very fun. The event locator is great. And card search tool is a welcome addition and we now have an official resource for card translations. Yippie!
