Ketchup for Pokémon Reviews

Ketchup is great and it’s UX is spotless. One thing I wish you added though was being able to see a Pokémon’s move list by generation. I’m playing through Red for the first time and most Pokémon’s move lists are drastically different from where they are today. If you added a view where you can see the move list by generation, I truly think this would be the greatest Pokédex app on the market.

Good just a little meh about the fact that you have to pay $10 to get all Pokémon and I wish the Pokémon bios were read to you. BUT I like everything ESPECIALLY there is NO ADS which I LOVE it’s a really good app over all for Pokemon enjoyers and viewers alike :D

I’m enjoying Ketchup and find it easy to use. If I had one nitpick I wish you could filter the move lists for Pokemon by game as some Pokemon have different moves from game to game. Besides that though it’s great!

Would like to see a way to track catches between games, additional details on where to catch (ie. route #), ability to move to evolution by clicking on it from previous Pokémon (moving to charmeleon or charzards data by clicking on their image on charmanders screen). But Ketchup is already so much better than web browsing.

Ketchup is amazing. I purchased the Plus version to have full access to all creatures. Even the type matchup features and effectiveness is amazing. However there is one feature I would add for premium users like myself, and that is the creatures cries. It would be cool that when you open a creature’s specific page information or tap on their images, you hear their cry from the games. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the most beautiful app for Pokémon organization. It’s so clean, and works amazing I had to purchase the full version. Ketchup has so much data, cleanly organized and has most of the relevant information I would want to see in easy to find locations.

My gripe is that you can not select the move-set per generation (if it’s there I missed it). I also wish Ketchup had egg moves. But amazing app and worth getting!

Love Ketchup, and as an advid pokemon lover I would love if there would be more pokemon to guess a day or a separate section where you can just guess pokemon all you want!

Perfect launch timing as well.

I’ve found one small issue— when in the Items menu, it doesn’t search from Items, but searches for Pokémon & moves. Tried looking up the Macho Brace but had to scroll to find it

Ketchup functions just like you would hope a Pokédex app would. It is the perfect companion app on your Pokémon adventures! I use it primarily while playing pokemon games on my handhelds. The iPhone and iPad support is great. I wish Ketchup had support to be on the Mac. Maybe in the future? Otherwise, no complaints at all.

Have not yet purchased the full version (the free version is limited to Gen 1 Pokémon) however the UI is very slick and enjoyable.

The only feature I would hope to be added is a filter on the Creatures list for the types that is a drop down as opposed to the search.

Excited to see how Ketchup develops further!

Really impressed with how smooth and user friendly Ketchup is. Has most of the information that you’d want at a quick glance. There are only a few things I feel are missing for Ketchup to be perfect. First one being pokédex entries for regional variants/ mega evolutions/ gigantamax/ alternate forms. Second one being the category/ species of each Pokémon below it’s name. Other people have mention a search for Pokémon by types.

I'm very pleased with my experience using Ketchup as it gets rid of the bloat you find with other sources for pokemon data. A lot of the time I am just grabbing quick reminders on evolution or moves based on level up and Ketchup gets straight to the point without navigating through multiple windows or scrolling indefinitely which is well worth paying for this app+ to get all the gens. I was thrilled to see the developer responding to reviews and indicating future plans so I am excited to see where Ketchup will go in the future.

I’ve used several Pokemon apps over the years and this one is, by far, the best yet. It’s exceptionally designed and incredibly easy to use. Around every corner is another layer of depth of information and detail, yet none of it feels overwhelming, confusing, or cumbersome. Navigating this app is a breeze. From the font to the images to the colors - it’s very inviting. It’s pleasantly nostalgic to explore and rediscover so much Pokemon lore I’ve enjoyed over the years. At first I was a bit turned off by the optional fee to upgrade for the rest of the dex, but honestly, I believe it’s worth it. Also, it’s important to support the devs! Especially one like this who has been so active and engaging on Twitter when he launched Ketchup ! I don’t think I’ll need another Pokemon app ever again. It’s about time there was one place for me to go to find all of this information. GameFreak, take notes!!

Ketchup is clearly made by a developer who understands iOS and respects the operating system defaults.

A few questions I have are:
1) Is there a development plan for Ketchup ?
- Would be great to have a bit better Pokédex experience with tracking Pokémon on a per game’s pokedex level. Currently Ketchup is sort of like a Pokédex for Pokémon you have in your Pokémon home I’d say. I’d like to track what Pokémon I have in my home but also on a per game basis.

2) Will new games be added when released?

3) Can Ketchup be enabled to be installed on macOS?

Probably the best option for a dex app on Ketchup Store right now!

One thing I would REALLY love to be added is the option to keep track of specific regional dexes for different games with their respective number orders. A great use for this would be to pull up the regional dex for a specific game so you can organize your boxes or keep track of what you’re missing when trying to fill up the dex for more than one game. Having some sort of party feature would be amazing as well. Thanks for making this great app available!

This is a great app, it makes for the perfect companion while playing any Pokemon game. The UI design is beautiful too, by far the best app I’ve seen when it comes to a Pokédex. One suggestion I have is in regard to the type matchup selector. I do like the wheel selector design, however I do wish I could swipe anywhere on the left or right half of the screen to begin scrolling through the wheel. Right now, I have to begin scrolling by dragging on the type icon itself, and then I can move my thumb down to scroll from a more natural position. It would be nice if a swipe on any position on the left/right of the screen brought up the wheel selector. Also, more just for me, but a “Pokemon of the Day” widget would be so neat. A previous app I used had a Home Screen widget feature that presented a different Pokemon from the Dex every day, but it’s no longer on Ketchup Store. Ketchup seems like the perfect fit for that type of widget!
