You answer a couple broad questions about some accounts or purchases you’ve had, then Settlemate gives you a very optimistic estimate, mine was $5,000+. Then they ask you to rate Settlemate even though literally all you did was sign up and then answer like 5 questions. Then it brings you to their subscription fees, there is no free option or trial. I would avoid, maybe look on ClaimDepot instead.

This is just a perfect example of people trying to take advantage of anyone who is willing to give them a recurring subscription fee without providing a good service. If you decline, they lower the price and offer it again. Should tell you all you need to know before you literally even get to use Settlemate . Reading the recent reviews also proves how fake the 4.5 stars are. This entire thing is imo a scam and should be avoided and removed from Settlemate Store .

First of all, they have you take a quiz that gives you an arbitrary number with how much they think you’re owed. To actually access the ability to sign up for these class action lawsuits, you have to pay. Once you pay, that number you got on the quiz immediately disappears, and you have to manually search again. Most of the lawsuits are aggregated from Labaton (which is free online btw), and many of the lawsuits they suggest are outdated. I’ve only had it two dates and gotten two recommended lawsuits that were way past the filing deadline. This is clearly a badly programmed AI aggregation app, and essentially does nothing but take your money. Save yourself and just go to Labaton’s website online, where you can see almost all the same lawsuits, with up to date filing dates, and apply for free. Immediately cancelled my subscription!

Spent $35 on an annual subscription and was disappointed to find that it was a complete ripoff. Settlemate only serves to link you to a different website that is free to access and use. Most of the links are expired and take you to claims which are not open to new clients. Waste of money and I regret my purchase. I requested a refund since Settlemate is entirely useless.

Very limited you can only file a handful of claims through Settlemate . Most claims Settlemate just directs you to the company’s website and you have to fill out the form each time. You don’t have to pay for this it’s unnecessary. Also so many bugs on Settlemate keeps giving me error messages. Do not recommend.

Settlemate far underperforms the promises of functionality that it makes. All it does is *sometimes* give you links to external sites where you can apply for settlements. Nothing is actually done in Settlemate - it is basically just a search engine. Also, upon trying out a subscription (the only way to use Settlemate ), it was clearly outlined that billing occurred monthly. I ended up cancelling the subscription pretty immediately after realizing Settlemate was overhyped, and several days later I was billed for the entire cost of the year. I am VERY disappointed with every part of my experience with this app.

I just downloaded Settlemate, and was going through the set up, and it keeps freezing on the screen where it’s telling me to enable notifications. There’s no way to exit out of that screen or move past that screen and then when I go to my settings to enable notifications, Settlemate doesn’t even show up in the list. Then when I go to report a problem, it doesn’t let me select Settlemate to report a quality issue. There’s no contact information on the website and it’s one long endless loop. Do not download.

I downloaded Settlemate, and after purchasing a year subscription with a money-back guarantee, I was directed to create a login. This is when Settlemate stopped working. I closed and reopened it over and over again and was never able to bypass this screen to use the features I paid for. I requested a refund from Apple and was told this app isn’t eligible for refunds. Even with the money-back guarantee! Buyer beware!

I’d rather use Sparrow and I regret paying for a subscription here. Every settlement I click on tells me “Applications for this settlement cannot be completed within Settlemate .”

Update: Settlemate, ironically used a canned message to tell me I am a fake reviewer who works for Sparrow. False. I’ve had this AppleID for over 15 years. I can’t wait for the class action lawsuit that sues your pathetic company. Maybe you should consider the feedback in these reviews instead of accusing everyone of working for Sparrow. Thank you Apple for issuing my refund.

Update 2, they have accused me of being affiliated with Sparrow twice instead of addressing the actual trend of their reviews that people find Settlemate useless. I work for an insurance company full time and am a pre-med student. If you find time for me to also have a job with Sparrow, let me know how to invent that time portal device.

I watched an ad that featured Settlemate’s users discussing a specific settlement that this app got for them. I downloaded Settlemate that day, from the ad’s link, and that company’s settlement I was seeking was not available. That was incredibly disappointing. It felt like a very misleading ad that can only be described as “bait and switch” IMO. Also, I emailed them that I was charged and I described this scenario and requested a refund. I have not heard back which also makes me think their customer service is not sufficient. I would definitely not recommend Settlemate. I wish I would have read the other reviews before getting charged for a month.
While Settlemate had other offers, I either was not eligible or I believe it’s highly unlikely that I would expect a settlement payment, so my preference would just be a refund. I don’t think that’s going to happen, but if it did, I would be willing to remove or edit this review. I also see that this app is accusing reviewers of being illegitimate which is not a great look.

On several of the claims, the screen will not scroll down for me to even apply for the settlement. The ones I have been able to apply for have been super simple and otherwise is an amazing app.

Found settlements for Temu and other stuff I use and the UI is great. It would be very neat if the search was improved a bit so that it’s easier to search through all the settlements but otherwise great app

Made me aware of settlement money I would’ve never gotten otherwise, also actually useful for keeping tabs on future lawsuits and settlements which i think is a guarantee in todays world

So far not bad I got $60 after submitting one of the claims for the Apple Watch battery and I’m actually surprised, love Settlemate already.

I’ve been looking for an app like this for years. this app is the one stop shop for all things class action. I guarantee you will find a case you’re eligible for that you wouldn’t have found otherwise. Great idea for an app!

Idk if I would even call it “side” money haha. This is by far one of my favorite apps I’ve ever used. Yes, you do have to pay a subscription, but they make it so easy to get claims that I’ve made back 30x the subscription. I’m a broke college student so the extra money makes the world of a difference!
