If I'm not being tracked, how am I seeing searches I've done on Facebook? I'm still being tracked. Even though DuckDuckGo says I'm not. Why? That's false advertising.

How do I change my password to get into the app?

I have spent the best part of an afternoon trying to find a way to ask a question. Apparently the company are more concerned with their own privacy than with that of clients. My problem is that I set up a duck.com account, but it doesn't work. Messages sent using my address never receive a reply, and when I have to test by sending to myself, I get the message back, noting that it is undeliverable. Please can you explain.

My DuckDuckgo browser is set as my default browser and has worked effectively for years; but now when I attampt to access my AMAC newsletter that i receive via email, it will not let me do so. Can not install duckduckgo on my desktop computer. Instructions will not work. I need a phone number for tech support. I WILL NOT USE ONLINE "CHAT". I will not do business with any company that only does only online "chat". CHRIS

How do I get my duck email address back

I'm a senior that uses a desktop computer instead of a phone. I still have windows 7 with Firefox on it and there are some privacy add ons which includes the green DDG privacy essentials. The problem: How is this supposed to work with my gmail ? Do I have to pay for something I can't really afford ? Please don't send me to Git Hub. I have no idea what they're talking about. I have not been able to access my favorite site AboveTopSecret for 3 days ? What’s going on ?!

Not sure if I’ve landed in anywhere like the right place to raise this but it’s proving hard to get to DDG. Several times recently, when shopping online, I’ve been unable to complete the transaction. Usually I’m on an iPhone and I’ve always searched using DDG. After checking there are no incomplete fields, I normally switch to an iPad and use Safari, successfully. I’m not sure why I don’t just use Safari on the iPhone - I think I did initially and that didn’t work, not sure. But, in any event, the common blockage seems to be to do with DDG, which obviously affects my keenness to use it. Any thoughts or advice would be great to have.

I was under the impression that DuckDuckGo doesn't track my activity...Just yesterday I had to go into history and delete 56 pages I had visited. Just wondering why that history of where I had been was listed...Any thoughts..

I noticed that when I first signed up with DDGo a little guy came out and told me that google tried to follow me. Now when I come on line there's a post from google to make chrome my default option with no option but to select them. Of course I hit the back up bar. I actually hate google. If I could I'd remove them. What recommendations do you have to assure my security throughout my usage?

Why always Google? How do we know that DDGo is not a Google-owned product and a front or a mere pretence of better security? There is no way to find out, either. If you try using Third Party software the OS just disables the functions which might otherwise reveal anything of importance. Users are completely in the hands of ALL Technocrats. I prefer to call them Techie Warlords. There is nothing we can control if an App, such as DDGo, does not wish us to control it, despite what the UI, (User Interface) might be reassuringly telling us, for we cannot control what is going on in the background and it can be the opposite to that which is being reassured. The Internet needs to be properly regulated. Apps need to be properly and forensically tested regularly by an accredited Authority and back-engineered to check their claims. How can Duck Duck Go reassure us that it is not just another digital denizen in lock step with the Silicon Valley Agenda?

They are all back-engineered by Windows, but not for a good purpose, but rather for nefarious purposes - to disable functions, such as in our Anti-Virus software where it has a cleaning feature, designed to block intrusive behaviour, but which the OS can completely disable, while the UI simply APPEARS to be going through the motions of doing its job. I have had this repeated experience with all worthwhile Apps, in my fight to find protection. My OS injects Registry files which disable effective functioning to clean up Windows has done so to the following software on PC: Avast, Avira, Glary Soft, CCleaner IOBit Malware Fighter IOBit Uninstaller All of these have PC maintenance features, very worthy features, the reason MS back-engineers these features or even injects its own unins000 file to uninstall the very feature to remove its intrusions. The UI still works, still appears to be doing its job, but when you check the database, none of the bloatware files and MS Junk has really been removed although the UI says it has been. The more I run these maintenance utilities, the more disk space is being used up, as Windows recreates and replaces the files in the folders that these utilities may successfully remove, meanwhile the original files still remain somewhere else on the system, not really deleted at all. In actual reality, It is a sure way to fill up your disk in no time flat, so with all of this going on how can Duck Duck Go re=assure us that it is any different? In a battle with the OS I watched Windows recreate file, after file, after file after file. Just to see how far it would go, I kept deleting - shredding the files as it replaced them. It used up 50 gig in 20 minutes on my hard-drive in doing so and wrote log, after log, after log. Reading them is very revealing - it creates file after file to block their functions. The more the use them, the smarter its AI machine learning bots become at blocking these functions and making the UI appear to be working smoothly. So, in the wash up, as users, we are at the mercy of the Silicon Valley Technocrats, the Techie Warlords, who delight in beating up our security software. We have no guarantees whatsoever whilst ever Windows is in charge. I believe both Windows and Google need to be forensically investigated and we need a completely new Internet, built by reputable people and not governed AND controlled by Intelligence Agencies.

I have settings in Microsoft Edge permitting it to recognize and look up words in merriam-webster.com. Duckduckgo doesn't do that. What can I do?
