BHKidsAR is a great concept; my daughter has been very excited to use it- when it has actually worked. I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max, and BHKidsAR crashes or hangs frequently (almost every time we use it, and within just a couple minutes of app start-up), it is ridiculously large in size, and it is cumbersome to navigate. If these problems were taken care of it would be a wonderful app and a great tool for helping my daughter learn to listen to God’s Word and draw closer to Him. As it is, it serves only as a novelty to be used on very rare occasions. I am sadly disappointed by BHKidsAR.

Other than reading the story aloud, BHKidsAR is terrible! It would be great if it would remember the picture once it’s scanned rather than having to hold the phone over the picture during the entire story, or even if it showed a video of the story, which is initially what I thought it meant by “the stories come to life.” My daughter wanted me to download this so badly, but we are extremely disappointed. Also, we have the book for toddlers and it isn’t even on the list of books to choose from!

I am teaching my 2 year old to speak his native language first “Spanish” so I bought this book in Spanish thinking that he would be able to follow up in BHKidsAR in Spanish. Nope no such thing! BHKidsAR is in English only.
However parents are directed to download the same app in the Spanish book and are not warned that BHKidsAR is in English only. If I had known BHKidsAR was not in Spanish also I would have gotten the non interactive version which was much cheaper.
I am very disappointed!!!

We love the idea of BHKidsAR but it's too hard to use with kids - especially for being made for kid's bibles. It would be fantastic if once you scanned the picture, it would continue reading the story even if the page went out of view. We have yet to be able to read a story without it restarting on us. We get the picture scanned, and inevitably one of the kids wiggles the phone or the bible and then it restarts the story. Usually we are too frustrated at the gajillion restarts that we don't finish the story. Also, it has a hard time scanning the older kids bibles (the ones with thin pages). We usually have to go get the children's one with thicker pages to be able to get it to work. Great concept, just too hard to use :/

I love BHKidsAR, great idea and it is amazing for family dinners! So simple,yet creative!i love the story’s,my favorites are Jesus is born and crucifixion and resurrection. The read alouds are so fun to listen to that I could give it 6 stars!!!

Simple, yet creative storytelling! And different formats for the stories so they don't get redundant. My three year old cannot get enough he enjoys so much!

This is a great concept, however, kids were disappointed they couldn’t hear. I even double checked that my volume was up. The apps volume is not loud enough. She please fix so that we can enjoy.

I didn’t know what AR was, so I was disappointed it wasn’t a little video. We have the big picture interactive Bible, and I have not been able to get audio for any of the pictures so far. I will be uninstalling.

The AR is very glitchy and my Babel doesn’t even have QR codes in it except for the one that links to the web site (page xiii) I’m using the big picture interactive bible. Though the concept is great. I love AR

BHKidsAR is horrible. It loads so slow and the only thing it does is make the picture look 3D. It doesn’t read the story or show true helpful visuals to increase learning. Not impressed.

BHKidsAR is really good for kids it is so easy to use

For my son and it only plays the stories when I do the verse to remember it won’t do anything at all..... wish it was a simple and easy to use.....

You have to hold the phone over the picture the whole time. The “come to life” element isn’t very interesting. The story part is very short - just a few sentences.

The scope and sequence of the Bible are wonderful, the stories are age appropriate but content rich enough to confer the point. And the application part is great for discussion. The physical book is fantastic...

But I bought this particular bible for BHKidsAR and content, wanting to make the stories even more fun and interactive for my 4 year old. The images on most pages are fairly bland and just pop up. He actual qr stories are much better... but don't work. The very first one played but was glitch filled and kept freezing. Now into the stories of the kings, NONE of the content works at all... BHKidsAR is completely useless. I've refreshed, I've uninstalled, I've tried 2 other devices... nothing. Very upsetting and disappointing.

I certainly feel like I have not gotten my money's worth, as there are other kids bibles where the stories and pictures are just as good and they are much less expensive.
