Really good app

Since I started working out and using StarkFitness I have lost about 90 pounds. Realy great the way you can create your own cross training routines or auto-generate one if you do not have the time. Highly recommended for anyone who needs a visual on how the exercise is done. Work out with a mirror so you can see yourself doing correctly or not. Would be great if the camera would record you and do a side by side so you can correct your form. But it works really wel!!!

Great App!!!

Works really well with the purchase of the in app items they offer. You may need to separate your cardio time based exercises from your weight based exercises because when you start the program to exercise, it only allows you to do time or reps. However if you know how many reps and sets you want to do then you can leave it on the time and just make sure you complete your reps in the amount of time you specified in the beginning. Things it would be nice is the ability to have different users within the same app. If it does have that I have not figured it out how to do it yet. The Virtual Trainer app is free but they get you by only giving you a few free exercises in each category or purchasing a premium subscription or purchasing the in app exercise groups. Overall very nice and simple to use.

Paid for app in the beginning now wants a subscription???

I paid for StarkFitness when it came out and had access to everything now it has me locked out of 90% of the exercises. Not right to pay what app originally cost now being asked to pay for membership...

Update: sent my issue to the developers and they took care of the issue. Great app, prompt response. Thank you!

For the days I don't feel like writing out my workout

I love how I don't have to think about writing out my workout in the auto-generate function. I like how you can choose the equipment, but it would be even better if you could choose the equipment AND a focus (upper, lower, full body - or even getting granular with upper/back+bi, upper/chest+tri, lower/glutes, lower/quads). I saw the featured workouts but haven't done them yet. Seems like this will be a good app when I'm on the road and don't have access to a full gym.

Love the app but...

Great app. Really helps keep you motivated. Just wish there were more pre-built workout so those of us who are new don't have to try and figure one out. I would even pay one time fees to download additional workouts. Just have a real hard time with a monthly fee. Would also be nice if you could track your weights for each exercise.

Good but expensive

I am a super cheap guy so 7 bux a month makes me cringe. If you are reading this, you are probably not as cheap as me lol
StarkFitness is great. I like that you can mix equipment and auto generate an exercise. I have a tendency to skip exercises that i dont like and this helps me do the things i am weak on. A surprisingly helpful feature is the voice that magically knows when i am thinking of stopping and says "come on!" And the like. It is very helpful to people who exercise solo.

This app is becoming part of my lifestyle

I use the quick start and i create my own variety of burn your body workouts. Awesome. Whenever I can’t make it to the HIIT classes or after class, I use StarkFitness either at the Gym or at Home. When I use it at the Gym, I have prepared workouts in StarkFitness that utilize dumbells, chin up bar, treadmill, and bodyweight exercises at the Gym. When Im at home, I have prepared workouts that utilize body weght exercises, resistance band exercises, and my chin up bar.

Great App!

Love StarkFitness! Two recommendations:
1) would love to have ability to do a cycle workout that is a mix of time and reps depending on exercise

2) allow customized exercise to be added - generic placeholder with name you provide OR even better you can upload your own demo of exercise with custom name (save - available to you and anyone you share it with).

Free version is awesome

You don't have access to a ton of workouts with the free version. However, the quality of the workouts are fantastic. You have an actual model doing the position in multiple perspectives very helpful if you are unsure how to complete a rep.
4 stars because of the limited access under the free version and also because I would like to see StarkFitness count reps or provide an auditory cue.

Excellent for creating your own routine

This is a great app for setting up your own routines. It does an excellent job of letting you pick from a variety of exercises, setting the time for each exercise, the rest period and how many sets you want. I've tried a number of apps and this is the one I keep coming back to.

Very good apps

Apps are loaded with good content and demonstrations. You can get a great workout no matter your level of fitness. The only issue I have is their price is a little high and you should be able to buy in bundles of your choice at a reduced price. Then StarkFitness you offer to consolidate them would give you unlimited access to all the exercise you have specific equipment for.

Almost perfect! Missing Apple Watch compatibly

Great app so easy to make and modify workouts, good videos for each exercise! The best Tex style workout app I have found by a long shot. The only thing that keeps it from being perfect is the inability to function with Apple Watch. It’s about time we got this awesome upgrade!!!

Long time user

This is a good app. I have been using it for 5 years, 5 to 6 times a week. It essentially functions as a timer for me between sets, but it is very flexible and I am able to get a lot of exercise suggestions and ideas. It’s not perfect, it is probably not updated enough for my liking. But I will keep paying for it and using it on a regular basis.

Could be great.

I tried the seven available dumbbell exercises with the basic unpaid version. The damning problem is that only one side when it is a single-sided exercise is exercised. For example a side bend you only exercise one side it doesn't go on to exercise the left side. This is super frustrating because everything else is done so well but it's unusable this way completely unusable. The demonstration and the voice and the automatic timing is just wonderful so this is just frustrating.

Record the weight used

Maybe theres a way to do this and i just havent found it. It would be great if it allowed you to keep track of the weight used for dumbell exercises and announced it. Example: hammer grip bench 45lbs. It would also be great if it would take a voice command for "done".

The king of fitness apps

Stark in its numerous forms has become my go to daily app for the past two years. Simple, clear, challenging and easy to design yr own programs. Works well on iPhone and iPad. I cannot say thank you enough to the developers.

User friendly for the unmotivated

I am unmotivated and easily distracted. The Tabata work outs that are predetermined are quick and the visual instruction linked with the timer (including the "rest" timer) are fantastic! Not intimidating and easy to build your workouts as your ability increases! Very excited!

Awesome app

Having a giff demonstration of each exercise is very helpful. Really like the QuickStart button for creating a variety of workouts. I wish there was an option to purchase access to all the exercises without having to subscribe to the monthly fee

Best Ever

By far, the most comprehensive, fun and customizable workout app on the planet. It builds varied routines based on what equipment you have available. And if you have limited space, it even improvises with a chair or just your body weight.

Burning the calories, firming the bod, and building cardio in less time with Stark’s focused trainings.

Phone full of apps, it's the best

Unless you're working on being in the Olympics StarkFitness does everything you need. It's practical and versatile. My phone is full of strength training, body weight, etc. apps but I like the simplicity yet effectiveness of this one.

Been using for many years…great app for home and travel.

I travel a lot. I have been using StarkFitness forever. First to get TRX specific workouts when traveling but then incorporating stretching, kettle ball and other equipment at home. StarkFitness allows me to build structured workouts that focus on strength, stretch or a mix of systems without having to switch apps between the different systems or even just body weight alone.

While it doesn’t get updated often, I have never had an IOS update outage for more than a day or two.
