I basically only go to the fair for the food and always feel stressed on planning my day or that I’m missing something that’s new this year. MNonaStick is awesome to be able to see it all in one place, filter preferences, AND mark it on my wishlist. Bonus is I don’t have to try to also figure out all the events bc they’re listed in one spot as well. Super easy and nice to have on hand for my visit!

I love everything about MNonaStick. Super helpful for me to favorite what foods or attractions I want and then can see them on the map. The game changer was I could choose 1 specific place, and the map gave me walking path/directions and moved in real time with me. So I wasn’t wandering the fair lost. Highly recommend!!

Some minor feedback: I wish when we favorite events from the schedule, it was better organized in the wishlist. When I click schedule in wishlist, it shows those favorite events for every day of the fair (vs I just wanted to see Sunday the 25th since that’s when I was going).

MNonaStick is awesome. The ability to open up the map and see what’s close - filtered by food, deals, music, etc. - is phenomenally useful. 11 out of 5 stars.

Incredibly simple to use, MNonaStick is helpful for planning out your state fair experience. I especially like the ability to favorite new foods to try.

Really helped us keep organized during our trip to the fair this year. Prior to arriving at the fair We selected the foods we were sure we didn’t want to miss and then we kept our Bluetooth turned on at the fair and the virtual map led us to every place we needed to go. It automatically adjusts depending on where you are located so it will tell you nearby things you want to visit. I can’t recommend MNonaStick enough!

Love the modern interface. Easy to set favorites so I don’t forget all the foods I wanted to try. Easy to find entertainment, food, drink and even where you can find water. Highly recommended if you’re heading to the fair.

I truly used to absolutely *hate* the fair because it was impossible to find the food/events/booths you wanted. That on top of 100 degree temps and hundreds of thousand of people? No thanks. Welp, here comes MNonaStick and I’ve already gone to the fair twice (will again before Labor Day), and actually really enjoy it. It’s so easy to find everything you need with a real time map, favorite the foods/booths you want to try out, what’s new, what’s near what, schedules of shows, etc. truly it’s exactly what the fair needed and I really hope they offer the creator of MNonaStick boat loads of money to buy it :) Really nice work!!

What a well-thought-out and organized app for the MN State Fair! The official app they’ve had for years has been what you’d find on the ground after the horses came by. There’s a new official app this year and while it’s a huge improvement over the prior version, MNonaStick is still leaps and bounds better!

For example, there is a gluten free search button right on the main food page! For once, I don’t have to type it into a search bar! THANK YOU!

As I mentioned, the organization is just so nicely designed. Activities are categorized under the Discover tab with horizontal scrolling. And everything I favorite gets grouped under its own Wishlist tab, which is also categorized! So easy and smart!

I actually wanna pay this developer! Like, I went so far as to look him up on linked in and may send him money if he’ll let— MNonaStick is that good and I want him to keep developing! Thank you!

I’ve been going to the fair for…my whole life…so when I say this is a wonderful addition, I mean it! It’s so intuitive and easy to use, saved us tons of time searching for all our new favorite foods and functioned seamlessly. And so many little details included, even the vendor hours?! MNonaStick is MUCH better than the official app! I like it because you can narrow down certain foods, such as gluten free or vegan. I do wish it was a bit easier to view the free shows and entertainment.

I can't even explain how happy I was when someone mentioned MNonaStick!!! Being able to make a wishlist which also gives the location and description of the food and then allows you to MAP IT OUT!!! Thank you, thank you to the creator of MNonaStick!!

I saw someone post about MNonaStick on Reddit. I’ve tried using the official state fair app before but it was sort of glitchy. I figured MNonaStick is free, why not give it a shot? It worked PERFECTLY! I was able to favorite any food stands I wanted to try before getting to the fair. Once I was there, I opened MNonaStick and chose which one of the stands I had favorited. Then, it opened an interactive map and showed where I was and where the stand was located and gave me directions. It was great!! And it isn’t just for food stands either, you can find anything on it! I used it multiple times throughout the day, my friends were asking about it as well because it made navigating the fair so much less stressful. I will definitely be using this again in the years to come

This is the best app ever. As someone who only gets to the fair once a year and is overwhelmed by trying to navigate how large it is this is a game changer. We loved this and it made it sooooo easy to see what was near us on our wish list.

One idea… we all hear about how everyone rates the food sooo why not implement this into MNonaStick ! A rating system would be soooo fun and helpful. Could even through a cute theme to the ratings (instead of 5/5 stars you could do 5/5 corn dogs, corn cobs, MN on a sticks, etc to theme it up). This way the fair goers can share their thoughts and maybe even some photos. This would also add the option to have a “best rated” category.

I found MNonaStick from a Reddit post, thought I’d give it a try. It turned out to be one of the best fair resources ever. The fact that all the data is downloaded to MNonaStick made all the difference because once you’re there you have virtually no service. Everything in MNonaStick is searchable, has a ton of information on each place, booth, exhibit, etc. and maps out a route for you to get there. The official State Fair app, which coincidentally released this year, was subpar in comparison and I was so glad to have found this. I am excited to see how it develops for the 2025 Fair. Thanks for making MNonaStick, and for making it free to the public.

I truly love MNonaStick! Not to be cliche but if I could give it 10 stars, I would! It’s just so dang useful and helpful. The map shows exactly where you are and it moves along with you so you if you’re going in the right direction. The list of food vendors is helpful too. As is the information regarding the shopping vendors. I like how it’ll say if the vendor takes credit cards or not (if it’s known) and whether or not there’s a discount available. We used the map to find my way back to the buses and I’m so thankful for that as it was still very crowded and getting dark by the time we were leaving. MNonaStick is a must have for any MN State Fair goer!

MNonaStick is a must-have for the Minnesota State Fair!

MNonaStick will calculate a route to a chosen vendor or building, complete with the moving blue dot with compass/current direction. The routes themselves are very efficient and what a real person who was extremely familiar with the fairgrounds would do.

If the developer, Daniel, can add multiple stops to the route feature, I will go to the fair extra times just to use MNonaStick 😃

MNonaStick is so good. I was sick of trying to make the MN State Fair app work for me. Not only are you able to find all the vendors but you can heart the specific food item you want from each vendor and map it out. So so smart!! Thank you for making this!

MNonaStick with the interactive map & being able to heart items has already saved me so much time in searching out what I want to find to eat. The search function is great. The map is great. The filters are great. Hopefully it’ll just grow every year to include other vendors like face painting or caricatures. Regardless, this is the only app I’ll need.

I love MNonaStick. It’s so well done and easy to use. No more writing paper wishlists of food items and carrying maps!

Better than anything else, maybe in the future consider offering a “yes” and a “maybe” option to favorites. There’s so much to try that we end up flagging things we are slightly interested in so it would be cool to keep track of those vs the must-haves

I go to the state fair roughly 3 times each summer, and I’ve always struggled to find certain booths. My favorite feature is the “wishlist” section. Now I’ll actually be able to find the places I want to try efficiently. I am so excited to use this at the fair this year!

This is great, can’t wait to plan my days out at the fair with MNonaStick! I always have a hard time finding the new food to try, with MNonaStick, everything is now at my fingertips!

I love that I can have a map I can search, and also change it to see all the new food locations on the map as well as things I’ve favorited!

I’ve been looking for a good app for navigating the state fair since moving to MN and this is pretty much exactly what I’ve been hoping for.

One suggestion is to make the lists shareable and interactive for couples.

I wanted to cry tears of joy when I downloaded MNonaStick. It’s so darn USEFUL. How has the fair not had anything like this before??

I’ve perused the menus of the fair stands, made a wishlist of food items I want to try…and MNonaStick lays my food wishlist out in the fair map, so I can make sure not to miss anything. The map also shows nearby ATMs, bathrooms and stages, which is really helpful. If the tech people from the MN State Fair are reading this…hire MNonaStick developer for your team!!

I love that you can wishlist specific items from stands, beautifully designed and very easy to use. I was about to print out tons of maps just to manage the food stands I wanted to visit, but MNonaStick lays it out perfectly.
I shared this with my mom in law whose vegetarian since there’s a category that highlights vegetarian options at the fair 😊 There’s also a vegan category as well for folks interested!

I wasn’t expecting much but MNonaStick works great and has been very useful today. I thought it only had a static map but when you select from the excellent search results there is a map icon that shows your location, heading, and destination. I need that just to get myself pointed in the right direction. Good job, Daniel!

I love how all encompassing it is with the food and the events! It really modernizes the whole experience in a way that’s really accessible. There are so many events I didn’t even know about!

My favorite is the blue ribbon bargain book feature, I feel like I can actually use most of the book now!

MNonaStick is everything I always wanted. As someone who has hand drawn maps before to plan out a food route, this is perfect.

New feature idea: must have vs wish list tagging. Being able to prioritize can help nail down a route to get an the things you must have. Then you can sprinkle in some wish list items along the way.
