In Israel, Arabs, Jews, Druze, Christians and others live and work together. Targeting Israeli companies and demonizing them affects the livelihood of millions of people. Its counterproductive and does not contribute to peace. Boycotting products made by Arabs and Jews will not bring peace to the Middle East. The creator of NoThanksapp is using it as a way to exact revenge. It violates basic human rights of people who live and work in Israel. I am using it as a guide to buy Israeli products and to support the only democracy in the Middle East where all citizens have equal rights and all religions can be practiced. Let’s think peace & love, no more revenge or hatred.

NoThanksapp is not accurate, Few days back I scanned an energy drink and it was showing on Boycott list, yet when I scanned the same box today it shows This product is Ok. Also I went for grocery shopping yesterday and scanned each item before putting in my cart, it’s showed chips off a certain brand on boycott list but the same brand chips of another flavour and the salsa of same brand company was on ok list. Therefore I have all the reasons to believe I can’t trust NoThanksapp.

It's honestly mind boggling how people ignorantly think they can make any (very wrong) difference by illegally boycotting Israel, when more people buy from and support Israel and any companies associated with Israel, than people who don't. And, fun fact, Israel is going absolutely nowhere, as you can fact check by Googling "The Jewish people's history in Israel". Oh, and another thing I wanted to mention is that when you don't buy, let's say, Cocoa Cola, because NoThanksapp tells you that it supports Israel, you're just hurting yourself from freely enjoying life. So now you won't drink Cocoa Cola again, even if you love the taste, so that you can try to hurt Israel or whatever it is you're trying to do. Wow. Hurting yourself to try to maybe hurt soemone else is not what I'd call peace, or, as the saying goes, "Live and let live." Oh, and one last thing. The chip in your iPhone was created in Israel. Google it. So now you won't be able to even use this horrid app, or your phone. I wonder how that will work...🤔

The developer really needs to have a better process in determining which brands or companies to add to the list. Quite a few items and the proof provided are circumstantial at best. If such low requirement is utilized then most products will be on the list including Apple.
Might I suggest a dependability rating system of 1-5 with 5 reserved for Israeli manufactured and owned products, and companies and individuals who provide direct support to Israel?

NoThanksapp contains products the Islamic community tells you to boycott, however, the “proof” button that is supposed to supply information as to why this company should be boycotted often leads to articles that you need to pay for, or articles that provide no ACTUAL proof as to what the company has done that deserves boycotting. (Ex. The caprisun article simply states that caprisun is backing out of Europe, the Starbucks article talks about the EX ceo, and the Subway article doesn’t explain WHY subway is “embroiled in conflict” merely repeating the phrase repeatedly.)

NoThanksapp in theory is a good idea but I'm gonna keep it 100? I don't have time. Target already makes you scan. Walmart too. Not everyone can afford to do this. This would be more useful as a website with a list hosted from somewhere that doesn't engage in others affairs like Switzerland. I don't have TIME for this and I don't always remember to use it. Just do your best, y'all, but this isn't gonna help. Focus on positive moves like donating to Operation Olive Branch. Focus on what's practical. This isn't and if you're chronically ill or disabled you probably can't afford to hyperfocus on this. I support the rights of 🍉 but things are hard in general right now and NoThanksapp feels like a massive waste of time with a half-baked database. One of the few times I'd agree that an LLM might be beneficial. Sorry.

Also please clean up your update verbiage. Use the developer style guide. Your updates make no sense.

I really appreciate NoThanksapp existing, as I want to abstain from certain companies to the best of my ability, but there are some things about NoThanksapp that should be addressed.

1) It is really disheartening to see AI-generated art being used on the home page. I would rather see art created by actual Palestinians than something ugly and soulless churned out by a computer.

2) There are sometimes issues where an item is scanned and it doesn’t pull up the correct brand (for example, I once scanned a Sun Bum product and NoThanksapp pulled up the brand Sunlight, a laundry detergent/dish soap brand). Or alternatively, the proof link of one brand actually links to another brand. There should be a way to report these kinds of issues within NoThanksapp .

3) Not sure how possible this is, but it would be really great if there were a way to suggest and possibly upvote brand alternatives

I want to start off by saying I am actively boycotting numerous companies and use apps like No Thanks and a site called Disoccupied. I have been using NoThanksapp for a few weeks with no issues but since updating I have been experiencing the same problem. When scanning products the results show the incorrect product/brand. For example, I scanned a method men deodorant but was given a result for ultrex men. I have tried scanning multiple times and they have all given me incorrect results. I don’t know what to do bc I’ve really enjoyed using NoThanksapp up until this point. Please help!

I use NoThanksapp all the time when shopping, and when I saw the update, I of course updated it. Then I decided to scan some brands I knew were safe before to see if anything changed, and they were all saying they were bad brands now.

What’s confusing though is if I scan Sargento cheese, different kind of cheese claim they’re owned by different brands like EPIC gum. I’ve scanned other things and have gotten results that make no sense, so I turned to research the parent companies of said brands turning up wacky results, and yeah, they’re in the clear of supporting Israel.

Either you guys got a bunch of fake reports, or something is glitching with the scanning of barcodes. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

NoThanksapp has great merit, I love the idea, I just wish there was a section for suggestions to alternative brands and links to buy those instead. I feel stumped knowing what I CANT buy, and not knowing what I CAN. I do a lot of online shopping due to having no car and living far from any grocery stores, so I typically get things delivered. There’s no barcodes on those things online, so it’s hard to only know I couldn’t buy it AFTER the fact when I’ve purchased the items and possess them already. I think NoThanksapp would do wonders with a suggestions tab with alternatives to buy.

NoThanksapp is great for ease of use, but before NoThanksapp I was using the website disoccupy. tonight I was trying NoThanksapp at my grocery store and it okayed four brands that disoccupy has called for boycotts of based on the companies involvement with the Israeli government. If NoThanksapp were to collaborate with the information that disoccupy has cultivated you could get the apps database up to speed more quickly and help get the message out faster on what brands to avoid. Also provide great alternative suggestions for certain brands.

Love the concept! The UX is pretty good, a few small adjustments could help improve but most notably the list of brands needs building out. I think it’ll get there in time but there are some glaring gaps - several legacy brands we’ve known for a long time have unethical practices but are notably absent in the search. I encourage users to keep adding… maybe developers can make the submission form a bit smoother & approval process faster.

Whenever I scan an item and it says “NO” I cannot seem to go back to scan other items if I need to. I have to force close NoThanksapp and reopen it again to scan another item, but it doesn’t do that if it says the item is okay. It works, but it would be helpful if I could easily go back and scan other items instead of closing and reopening it again.

i LOVE this concept, but the camera isn’t working for me ): the red scan line comes up but the screen stays black and the switch camera and flash buttons don’t do anything either. i don’t mind typing in barcodes/brands but the camera would be more convenient (:

NoThanksapp is useful when you are boycotting products that are financially supporting Israel. However, I used the scanner to test it out. For example I scanned Coca Cola bottles. Coke and Coke Zero are on the boycott list but it says Diet Coke is ok to buy. I just want to address this so no one gets false hope in buying certain products

Like many, I got NoThanksapp to make sure my money isn’t going places that I don’t want it to go. NoThanksapp itself is intuitive and easy to use, and doesn’t crash. No qualms about the user experience itself, and I think the concept is awesome.

However, I’ve encountered several products with inaccurate results, where the provided proof in NoThanksapp doesn’t match the product or company. Perhaps the bar codes are similar to those in other countries (I’m in USA). NoThanksapp could be improved with the ability to notify the creator or any support staff that a product’s origins are inaccurate, or require further evidence than what it is provided. That being said, the origin of most products are accurate, but there’s enough that I’ve scanned have been wildly wrong where an audit process to ensure a product on the list is accurately classified.

NoThanksapp is super useful to find brands that are on the boycott list, but I’ve found that it takes a few minutes or just does not load on certain barcodes if the product is not a widely known brand. It could be that the product is safe or just not listed yet, but I would prefer to be certain and not just assume the product is safe, especially if they could list generic supermarket brands! Overall, great app otherwise.

So, NoThanksapp as mentioned sometimes has glitches, but the concept is good.

For those (Goldmom 3 🙄) ranting about Anti-BDS laws - it’s is NOT anti-Semitic to CHOOSE not to buy something that supports a genocide. Full stop. Why should I spend my hard earned money that will line the pockets of ppl who support that? Furthermore, I choose everything I buy on its source, how ethical it is, environmentally friendly etc. so, why would this be any different?

One can be pro-Palestine, anti-genocide, anti-Israeli conduct and oppression, and not be supporting Hamas. You do know that many of the Gazans would prefer different leadership? NoThanksapp is great, its purpose is great, its updates are great, its features are great. as an american consumer in a capitalist country, i am so glad to have an app that helps me exercise my right to buy products with full knowledge of their origins. people always say "vote with your dollar" and gee whiz NoThanksapp helps me do just that 🥰 i can't imagine a single good reason not to get and use NoThanksapp (emphasis on GOOD reason). it's free to use, but i love it so much i sent some $$ anyway!

Runs fast and smooth. Free and No glitches. I scan every item I am used to buying and switch out old guilty items for clean new choices so I can sleep with a clear conscious. Love that it gives the reason behind the boycott recommendation. ❤️Thank you! I recommend it to friends!

NoThanksapp takes reduces the amount of effort you need to boycott companies/products that support Zionism down to almost nothing. I get that it isn’t perfect, but it’s so much better than the alternative - researching everything yourself and trying to filter out the noise to make informed decisions. It works flawlessly for me.

I LOVE NoThanksapp— I never review apps but with the functionality and how well the values of this product align with my own, I had to make sure everyone knows what an incredibly tool this is. It works quickly and easily, and allows you to access a wealth of information about the products you’re purchasing. I used to painstakingly look through reports and news articles and just hope that I’d be able to find red flags for products I wasn’t sure about, but it took a lot of time for each brand and still wasn’t a foolproof method, as a lot of brand issues go underreported. So thankful to the creators and can’t wait to use it more!

I love NoThanksapp! It helps me make concise purchases and guides me on where to buy and not buy in order to try and prevent mass cash flow going to companies that are supporting the slaughter of innocent people. Unfortunately we get marketed to and we often get taken advantage of by corporations with out knowing the sick and brutal practices behind these brands. Try and support local businesses and locally grown foods the best you can. Let’s put money back into individuals and not corporate greed that abuses our capital so they can slaughter and oppress innocent people and especially children around the world! The No Thanks app has been incredibly helpful to me I’m a single mom and do not have as much time and energy as I wish I did, to research and dig into what brands are doing and what products are owned by companies that are affiliated with or contributing to gen0side and the last thing I want is to inadvertently support that in any way whatsoever. No Thanks makes it where my circumstances are less able to make me unintentionally complicit and I appreciate all the work and energy that has gone into making and maintaining this wonderful app. NoThanksapp itself never malfunctions and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Thank you so much for making NoThanksapp it makes it SO much easier to shop responsibly and make sure I’m making only necessary and smart purchases at the grocery store. It has helped my vote with my money very effectively since I downloaded it and I will continue to use it every time I go to a store to make sure I do not support the evil in this world. Every small amount I am able to do will add up with everyone else’s small amount so we must all unite in using NoThanksapp and doing our research before falling for the rampant consumerism of this world. Make sure you only buy from responsible decent companies and not from the evil mega corporations that think they can continue to rule the world.

I really appreciate NoThanksapp, it helps me make more conscious decisions on what I do as a consumer, and it’s really easy to use quickly. I got tired of having to manually search everything out and add to a list in my notes app, that I had to alphebetize and sort. This is much more effective and provides sources for claims so you can still look into things and make informed decisions. I trust NoThanksapp to help me make better decisions, it’s truly been a boon to me.

I love NoThanksapp so much, I rarely review apps at all but this one deserves all of the love and support in the world. Helping people save money and not funding genocide enabling capitalists is so helpful and important. Any person of moral worth will clearly see that genocide and occupation are not valid justification for forming a state on occupied lands. Because I am severely disabled, I have caregivers who need to shop for me (among other things with which they help me). Now that I have NoThanksapp, I can stop having them buy items I used to buy & do my part to end the horrific gen0cid3 happening in Gaza & the West Bank. Between the "List" with proofs, the "Updates," the Bar Scanning Tool, & more this is the best app at my disposal so I don't allow my dollars support a modern day holocaust & extermination of an entire people. I found about NoThanksapp thanks to TikTok and I will be using this every time I’m shopping now. I refuse to feed I to the g3n0c1de perpetuated by any brands actively feeding into it or supporting Israel. Down with Israel and their corrupt tyranny and down with anyone and everyone supporting them (I don’t support Hamas, I support the innocent civilians of Palestine).

My boyfriend has been really frustrated finding out what brands are actually letting him and the world down. It seemed like he felt a little trapped, like he couldn’t be sure something he wanted to buy would be the ethical choice for him or not, so he was really happy to know that this tool existed. The smile on his face when he scans something and it comes back clean just warms my heart. It truly has been a relief to be able to use NoThanksapp to wade through the swamp of products for sale these days.

NoThanksapp has been the most accurate and up to date compared to others I have used. They are still not perfect. I have submitted some scanned items that were incorrect and I hope they actually follow up quickly enough so people know.

This is a great starting point. I use it along with a few other apps like disoccupied. Yes, more products need to be added. As end users, we need to understand this is a worldwide movement and it takes time and support. Thank you!

NoThanksapp isn’t always accurate, it’s had a mistake I believe 3 times so far. But it’s does let you submit for products/companies to add to the list which is awesome because not everything is perfect or always accurate from the jump. I’m so glad there’s an app to help.

Work together as a community to make sure we know what products/companies to avoid. Make sure to submit at any time you see they’re missing a products/company!

Before NoThanksapp I would spend more time searching for products that weren’t on the boycott list than actually shopping, now double checking products is as simple as a scan. I must say the list of products on NoThanksapp is not comprehensive but its a great starting point. I only wish it had a section that provides alternatives to products that are on the list. Regardless, this is an incredible tool and a great step towards conscious consumerism.

NoThanksapp is an incredible resource to have and allows us to make ethical choices while we shop for every day goods — prompting us to find alternatives when we see that familiar brands are linked to the 0ccup4ti0n and g3n0c1de. Also, makes me double check on whether I truly need something (not letting consumerism get to me). Also, brings to light how so many goods are owned by major corporations/groups. The developer/creator is attentive with updates despite what their family & communities are and have been experiencing. Immense gratitude and admiration.

So thankful for NoThanksapp, it has helped me a lot with keeping me informed and even providing me alternatives, when I was worried that I would have to go through great lengths to just finally find it! NoThanksapp is awesome! I can easily scroll through the list to see what I should avoid, but that’s part of the problem as well. 😅
While I don’t mind looking for what I should and shouldn’t avoid, maybe you could add ‘sections’ that separate certain things from each other? Ex. Gas stations and such go in a column specific to that, restaurants have their own section, streaming services have their own section, so on so forth!

Anyone who feels like they have no power to stop atrocities, boycotts prove we have power. Look at Starbucks and McDonalds troubles. But there are so many more products. Sadly in this world, money talks. I see reviews being entered by those who think atrocities are justified, but just know they are attacking NoThanksapp just like they attacked UCLA students (sadly they were used being taught what was necessary but not true for government to continue atrocities). Join cause with those on right side of history, and help free everyone from the militant hegemony.

NoThanksapp has been useful and easy to use. No app can be perfect, and trying to judge is a tricky business liable to error in many ways. However there is a certain level of responsibility for supporting a company that supports injustice and NoThanksapp makes this decision easier as it gives a link to the source of the offense so one can judge for oneself. If the company has behaved in a way that harms others then we can avoid it. It is possible some sources are not perfect so choose with care and compassion.

I used to have to type in the product name with “ support Israel” to my phone’s browser to find out the info I can get from a quick scan in NoThanksapp. It’s quick and safe to use; as a certified tech support specialist, I know what to look for in apps that indicate if my data is safe. I also get the most accurate and up to date information on which companies are still supporting Israel without Google throttling down the results I need to see. Absolutely recommend NoThanksapp!

I have been using NoThanksapp for a while and it is a life changer. It is very easy to use, the interface is awesome. I am able to know exactly from where the goods are coming from so it is aligned with my view in life. The least that we can do is to help make the world a better place to not funding those who do harm into it. An amazing App from an amazing developer. My wife and I have been suffering for months and years trying to figure out what to buy and what NOT to buy, so that we’re NOT supporting UNETHICAL COMPANIES and UNETHICAL CORPORATIONS. We want to support and give our hard earned money to companies that support racial equality, justice, equal rights, human rights. We don’t support any companies that support, enable and encourage genocide, racism, apartheid, war, weapons, bombs and arms manufacturers, or any cause, ideology, government or country that is unabashedly abusing the rights of other human beings on this planet. NO THANKS app has finally made this possible. Make your purchasing power work for good. Get it!

Someone in the comments gave 2 stars and said they dont have time… good for you dude, why are you trying to stop everyone else from doing something good, blocking sales to a country commiting a G-Cide… just because YOU dont have TIME to care about starving kids, doesn’t mean others do too. Anyways, NoThanksapp is great, I use it a bunch and I’m glad when I don’t purchase a product that supports G-Cide. Keep up the great work! Helped me shop for ethically and even inspired me to grow and care for my own food I got chickens out back and some nice cows and anything else I need I can shop without consciously having the blood of innocent PALESTINIANS on my hands if your mad at people choosing not to support Israel or you feel your identity threatened seems like a personal problem womp womp but I love not funding a genocide!!!!! I really appreciate NoThanksapp adding evidence to its claims so we can all be more informed and not feel blindly led on. It is so important to have something so easily accessible while shopping to help determine making mindful decisions about what I buy and NoThanksapp is perfect for that. I have been looking for a app like this for years. I am so excited that this was finally created. To have more control of where my money goes and to make sure that my money when I go grocery shopping or clothes shopping or gift shopping doesn’t go into the hands of people companies that are murdering innocent people for profit. I am incredibly grateful for NoThanksapp. I will encourage every friend and family of mine to download it. It works perfectly and matches my own research. I love NoThanksapp! It makes shopping so much easier! As an american, it is an obligation to do as much as I can to minimize or offset what my country has done and continues to do. Call your local representatives, protest, donate, shop Palestinian owned, and BOYCOTT! We have seen in the past with other human rights violations how boycotting is successful. NoThanksapp is so helpful and I love that you can see the source to know exactly why we are boycotting. This is helpful because you can tell others specifically “I am boycotting and cancelling my account with Bank of America because they bankrolled isr**li weapons maker with a $90 million loan.” Tell your friends and family!

I’ve been boycotting most popular brands for decades. But now it’s even more crucial. Some products aren’t so easy to identify whether they’re on the boycott list so I was glad to have used No Thanks and find that some items in my cart had to go back to the shelf. I was surprised to find that something like sprouted broccoli seeds were in the boycott list. Also had forgotten the connection between Topo Chico and Coca-Cola. NoThanksapp is a good way to get kids involved too, mine like scanning the barcodes and letting me know if something needs to go back on the shelf. Thank you NO THANKS for make it easy to support liberation!!

I love NoThanksapp. It has really helped my family to purchase products with good conscious and to avoid those brands that benefit from the harm of humanity. It has a scan function as well as a search option (which I mostly use), I’ve had NoThanksapp since it’s first stages of infancy and the list has grown so much (not that it’s a good thing) and every brand that has a “No Thanks” stamp is accompanied with supporting links to direct you to articles detailing why they get the “No Thanks” rating. We’ve definitely cut out unnecessary products in our household as well as avoiding other companies, stores and restaurants. Definitely worth it. ✌🏻☮️🕊️

I love NoThanksapp and how much easier it makes the process of boycott, as it not only allows you to scan a product’s barcode easily and detect if it’s boycotted, but also gives you direct proof of how and why this product is in the boycott list(by providing an article or blog)! This is a great initiative and I salute whoever made this invention, as it has the potential to ease and help people boycott more effectively and efficiently! Hopefully NoThanksapp developer keeps adding more and more boycotted products overtime!

Love how easy NoThanksapp is to use! You can search to see if a brand is safe or not and you can see a list of all unsafe brands in alphabetical order. ❤️🖤💚

I just downloaded this and tested it on random items on hand. It accurately identified sub-brands of companies on the boycott list and those that aren’t. Easy to use and is a great tool for everyone honoring the boycott and everyone against genocide.

Been waiting for NoThanksapp. Thanks for your hard work. Will like NoThanksapp to have more though and I’m sure it will keep growing. Doing my own investigation I have found more and more companies that aren’t on the bds but are funded or have connections to Israel that we should boycott

For everyone wondering where you can find Pali friendly brand alternatives- there’s a website called ‘DisOccupied’. If the development team of NoThanksapp read this review, maybe y’all could somehow team up with the DisOccupied activists and combine somehow?

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Conscious shopping has never been easier. I’ve seen NoThanksapp make some amazing improvements. Incredibly intuitive interface with the very convenient scanning function. I love that we are involved in the experience as well, and asked if we have new information about a product that may help us make a more informed decision on if it’s safe to purchase. Amazing amazing amazing! Shared NoThanksapp with everyone I know.

Honestly, I was very skeptic trying this based on my poor experience with other similar apps. But this No Thanks App is extremely useful, accurate and super easy to use. Even my mom uses it all the time. I highly recommend anyone with shared cause give this a try.

This is a simple and intuitive app. I had been searching for a way to more really tell which products and companies profit from the occupation and genocide when I go shopping.
It’s easy enough to scan any barcode and it will tell you right away. You can also search companies by name. I searched for an app like this for a while, but hadn’t found any practical ones until this one. I used it earlier this week and it was pretty easy.

Hey so when we use NoThanksapp and it says that it’s not sure if it should be on the list, do we just add it anyway for you guys to check if it’s supposed to be boycotted or not? Sorry I’m like genuinely not the best at understanding things sometimes.❤️🍉

Because I love NoThanksapp so much I need to make a suggestion. I mean just bravo for adding so much and really providing knowledge for those who refuse to be ignorant.
For this to be effective there needs to be items that should be recommended as an alternative. if we examine other leading app scanning brands like yuka. They are successful because they provide answers and solutions to the customer’s. NoThanksapp can autogenerate the alternatives the more customers scan things and approve products. You get the point. Thank you.

Thank you for making boycotting so much easier. However it’s been a couple of days where there seems to be a bug and it is no longer listing the companies. I just updated to the latest version but it did not fix the problem. Just letting you know !

Such a life saver, now I don’t have to stand in each aisle for hours trying to figure out who is on the boycott list, it gets bigger and bigger everyday but I’m thankful we have many alternatives!

Just downloaded and am enjoying walking around my house confirming that I have no boycotted items in my home. I’ve long practiced corporate boycotts and have always gravitated toward small and ethical brands. I love that NoThanksapp gives me just that bit of extra validation.

Work on providing alternatives to products that are boycotted to help people find replacement to products they sadly use on these lists.

Try and review submitted items that need to be added faster and push notifications on a weekly basis of new products added.

Boycotting has never been this easy NoThanksapp works super well it’s easy to use you don’t have to make an account or anything highly recommend. Keep in mind they’re still building their database so it’s not flawless but it will continue to improve as they grow NoThanksapp

Hi i love NoThanksapp it makes it super easy to know what not to buy!!! I would love for an ‘Alternatives’ feature for recommendations on products to buy instead. it’s very hard to find alternatives and NoThanksapp does a lot of work for me but scanning every single item can get repetitive so that feature would help a lot. thank you for making this. 🫶🏼

NoThanksapp is perfect for anyone who wants to be an informed and ethical consumer 🍉!!! It’s very clear that hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of research went into creating this and all of the related information. On top of all the information, with the receipts, NoThanksapp works well and easily scans products. I’m beyond impressed and very happy to have an easy way to scan products.
