4.7 out of 5
Horrible

The 5 star reviews have got to be paid users or they are just rating the workouts themselves because there is no other explanation.

First off, once you sign up and later CANCEL your membership, they will keep charging you. I have reached out to let them know that my membership was canceled and I wasn’t sure why I was charged again, it was a ton of going back and forth for more than 1 month to even get it canceled, but you definitely won’t get a refund.

Since they never refunded me, I decided to log in and use some of the workouts in their new app and my user did not exist. I reached out and was told to register, which literally makes no sense. If I have an account and already paid for it— why would I need to register? Anyway, I tried that and still wasn’t able to log in.

Although Senada’s workouts are amazing, dealing with their service is just not worth it. There are plenty of other programs with whom it’s much easier to work with.

Could use some fixes…

I purchased WeRiseApp last July and without any notification my subscription was renewed this year. I didn’t know it was going to be renewed automatically so I emailed to cancel it but they refused to refund me even though I hadn’t used it in many months, saying they had “delivered digital content” and that the renewal was “in the fine print” when I originally purchased it. I obviously did not know that so this is seems like a sneaky tactic to make more $ off unsuspecting people. I also wasn’t planning on renewing because I had numerous issues with WeRiseApp ; all of which I told them in reviews and in the various surveys they sent out. I never once received a follow-up or a response from them regarding these reviews. Funny thing is, after I reached out regarding cancelling my subscription, I received an email from them begging me not to cancel and with a 50% discount. Haha! Guess the only thing they care about is your $. Not what I expected from a trainer who is supposed to care about your health and fitness above all else. Two thumbs way down.

Purchased two weeks ago and not working!

I just started the workouts on Monday and today WeRiseApp wouldn’t let me select any workouts and immediately kicked me out. I have the latest version 1.0.2 installed which they updated 18 hours ago. I tried all of the suggested fixes to no avail. Sent a request for help into support and I’ve heard nothing. I logged out of WeRiseApp and now it won’t allow me to log back in or reset my password. I just purchased a 12 month membership. What is going on? I was so excited to start WeRise and now I’m incredibly disappointed. An error message appears when attempting to go to the WeRise app support on my laptop - it says access is prohibited. Tried to request a refund through Apple App Store but WeRiseApp doesn’t allow refunds for any reason. This is a scam. I’m contacting my credit card company next. Fix it or refund me immediately!

Great workouts, terrible app

First, I have to say I have been absolutely loving the workouts in WeRiseApp. Love the flexibility to change things up depending on the equipment I have available and even how hard I want to push myself on a given day. The workouts are challenging and interesting, even for someone that's been working out for over a decade.

That being said, WeRiseApp itself is terrible. Doesn't account for doing workouts outside of WeRiseApp , or needing to switch days... I get forcing the specific order for the method to work, but if I have an injury, or travel, or any other form of life happening, there's zero flexibility to go to a different workout than whatever is up next.

Further, WeRiseApp keeps glitching and completing an entire workout when I've only done the warm-up. This wouldn't be a huge deal, except there's no way to redo or restart a workout, so the only thing I've found to do is complete a whole week's worth of workouts, without actually doing them in order to get back to the right day, meaning I've essentially skipped a week of my program.

Not user friendly

WeRiseApp is difficult to navigate. There is no tutorial. There is no way to change exercises once you are in the workout if you should find something may be too challenging or not challenging enough. It has “completed” a workout before I was finished and I had no way to go back. It’s just not always user friendly. I would also like more upper body work rather than three days of legs.
The diet portion hasn’t been helpful as I am not sure how to calculate my macros and get that out in.
A tutorial would be helpful or a chat option within WeRiseApp .

Macro Tracking

I love the workouts! But the macro tracking has been trouble from the first day. If I put a meal in for 1 day, it repeats in other days. When I only put the meal in for 1 day. If I look at a recipe and then try to get out of that recipe to go back to the list of other recipes, it could take 3 to 4 minutes before it finally switches out of that recipe! I also find that the meals are limited compared to other apps I have tested. It would be nice to be able to have a list of favorites in the meal plan as well. It’s also not very easy getting in touch with someone to help you with any issues.

Great workouts - App glitches are consistent

I really love the workouts in WeRiseApp. I signed up for the 45 day challenge and woke up early to get started on it and it still had not been released. I had to wait until my lunchtime to get the workout in. When I signed in on my lunch break it showed that the program was ready, but there were no workouts meditations or anything to follow. Later in the afternoon I received a notification that popped up on my phone that said a new version would have to be downloaded for the 45 day challenge to work. I went to WeRiseApp Store to download, the new version, but the option was not available. Now about 20 minutes before bedtime, I logged into WeRiseApp Store and an update was finally available. I am grateful for WeRiseApp, however, I truly hope there is more of an investments made for the development to reduce the consistent glitches. I saw that there were almost 9000 people registered for the challenge. With WeRiseApp being $45 a quarter. That’s well over $1 million. I imagine there are significantly more subscribers than that. Please do your users a favor and correct these consistent glitches with gratitude, a dedicated user.

Glitches

I enjoy following Senada’s workouts but WeRiseApp still needs some work.
Some exercises are not described correctly under ‘more info’, I was also mid way my program when 2 days ago, WeRiseApp deleted my progress and had me start from week 1. All exercises are now different so can’t go back to where I was before.
If updating, it should not disrupt one’s current training program.
There have been other glitches I have come across while using WeRiseApp . It’s not a smooth experience. I still enjoy the exercises though.

App Support Needed - Great Workout Content

For starters, I’ve been following the WeRise team for a long time and am happy to see the transition to the new app and am excited for its potential.

Seneda put incredible effort into developing one of the best fitness program out there and the guided videos are great for any level.

From an app perspective, there needs to be login support such as “forgot password”.

Another update I’d like to see is smoother video transitions between exercises. WeRiseApp limits the view with “<“ “>” arrows, but from a UX standpoint it would be much better if you could swipe between exercises. This allows me to ensure I am doing correct form for each exercise in the circuit.

Lastly, it’s challenging to understand the breakdown of exercises within the circuit. This would enable the user to better understand what equipment is required to setup ahead of each circuit.

There is a lot of promise for the new platform and I have confidence that Seneda and team will make some adjustments to make this a better experience. I hope the dev team finds this useful!

Glitchy

I enjoyed the workouts when I could access them. Each exercise has a video showing how to perform this was hit or miss and not consistent and can be annoying if trying to keep moving through a work out. The major issue I have is that when I want to complete the assigned workout the system completely crashes. When I log out and try to log back in I get a message on Iphone saying this website is trying to steal my financial information and prompts me to close the window. Really unreliable service for what you pay for. I won’t renew my subscription because of the glitches and unreliability of WeRiseApp . Its was good when it worked though

Workouts are good, but app could be improved

I greatly enjoy Senada’s workouts. They are challenging but not over the top, and I appreciate that she has plans for home workouts.

WeRiseApp could be improved. I wish that I could create my own plan from a library of single exercises, or the ability to modify the number of sets or individual exercises in a plan. I rarely have 90 minutes to workout, so it would be nice to either modify myself or tell WeRiseApp to only give me 60 minute workouts.

I also miss the fact that the meal planning doesn’t “do it for you” like the Crush It app did. Please bring that feature back!! Also, why can’t I meal prep for an entire week or more? I can only meal prep for the current day which isn’t helpful at all when trying to plan ahead. I would also like to be able to customize my macros as what is being auto-calculated is fewer calories than what I’m tracking on my own to maintain (and that’s using the put on muscle option).

Hopefully some of these things will be improved as time goes on!

Enjoy the app, but…

I was using the crush it app and have since subscribed to WeRise. I enjoy the content, but I notice some issues and cannot figure out how to report them. The 2 issues I have is:

1. When you complete the warm up it then shows you the next days workout to continue with instead of allowing you to just start the current days workout. It is inconvenient to have to go back to all workouts, re-select your current week, and then re-select the workout you just completed the warm-up for.

2. During the warm-ups and exercises that are timed and instruct you to complete 30 seconds on each side…after 30 seconds it progresses to the next exercise and does not begin the timer for the next side or even continue for a full minute so you can complete both sides. Which means you have to wait for the next exercise to begin and then pause it while you finish the other side for the previous exercise.

Talk to me

I don't know if it's a setting that I'm missing or if it's just the way WeRiseApp is set up--chalkboard style, but I love instructor lead workouts so even if it is a chalkboard style, I would like to have it verbally spoken to me or have that option where I can turn it on or turn it off. The workouts are great though for getting toned and finding different exercises that navigate all of the muscles. So I do appreciate the variety and the way they are put together.

I like it a lot, but this one thing.

The workouts are great and I love the way WeRiseApp functions. HOWEVER, one design flaw is the “Restart Program” button location. Oi vey. Soooo frustrating to accidentally hit that and delete several weeks of my work. I had to go through each week and “complete” the workouts. Annoying, time wasting. The restart button needs to be someplace it can only be intentionally used. Not at the bottom of the page where iPhone users tap A LOT.

Worth the money

The platform takes a learning curve but is good overall. I like the option of exercises provided and the ease of the ability to track the entire details of your workout. The meals are a nice additional option but could use more details. Being able to track the macros are also nice but i have dove into that part yet. Being in PT I like the videos and emphasis on core hip control in her choice of exercises.

A Clean, Focused Workout App Without the Clutter

The We Rise Workout app is exactly what I was looking for! It’s not overstimulating, which is a huge plus. If you continue to keep it free of gimmicks, sales pitches, and excessive advertisements, I’ll definitely stick with you for the long haul. I plan to use WeRiseApp for at least a year, and if it lives up to my expectations, I’ll be a loyal customer.

If I could have designed my ideal workout app, this would be it. The extra expert help available is a great benefit for those who want it, but it’s not pushy or in-your-face. It’s more like a helpful tool that’s there if needed.

My advice is to please keep it simple. Don’t try to force-feed anything. I just want to come in, avoid distractions, and get my workout done. My goal is to progressively get stronger in all aspects, especially building muscle.

Keep up the great work, and thank you for creating such a fantastic app!

Feel free to adjust any part of the review to better match your experience!

New workouts are a great improvement

I didn’t mind the last minute notice of the new app being released. I finished my week on the older app and started on the new one afterwards. I find the new workouts routines more challenging in a good way. I no longer have to commit to 6 days a week. The built in macro calculator is great as well however I wish I could adjust the calorie range depending on my needs.

Within the new app, sometimes all of the workouts don’t pop up and I have to click the overview tab in the top right to find the ones that didn’t show up. I could also be using WeRiseApp wrong.

With that said, excited to start this new journey!

READ THIS IF YOUR HAVING PROBLEMS

If you were unable to sign in with old credentials ( I prepaid for a year), you are doing it wrong. Go as if you’re creating a new account and there will be a pre existing member option, I didn’t have to repay or anything , I still got access to my membership with no problems . Just thought I would help out:) WeRiseApp seems amazing , excited for the update!

Amazing can’t even describe!

If there were 10 stars I would vote. WeRiseApp has EVERYTHING you need! I’m an online training kind of girlie and what I will say is… the instructions on our form is SUPER HELPFUL….and on top of that, She demonstrates how to do the movement perfectly. Ugh. And don’t get me started on the recipes, the macro tracker, and the podcast talks about health, wellness, nutrition and more! Oh yeah! I’m doing the challenge as well… who knew screen free eating can make such a huge difference in my life!!! Thank you Senada for creating such a beneficial program (actually, SEVERAL programs to fit everyone’s needs). Definitely found my motivation, inspiration, everything here!!! :) btw, I’m not paid for leaving any kind of reviews… I’m literally just here to tell you guys that this is IT!
