2 years agoI have reached out to this company in every single place that I can find including leaving a message on some guy named Jeff's cell phone number. To cancel a subscription that I did not know was a recurring subscription on an app that completely confuses me and I never used. So I'm just trying to reach a live person to get a refund of $44 that came out of my account that was unauthorized. Not to mention the fact that I don't do business with any company that does not have a customer service phone number with a live customer service support. Call me old-school I don't give a rat's ass I just would like a refund because this app looks real fancy and looks like it could really help you but it's confusing as crap.

2 years agoYou have charged my account twice, one for the pro and now the elite. They say it's a 7 day free trial they took my money the next day and the only thing I did was check them out to see which one I liked. Will really appreciate it if I could get my money returned to my account.

3 years agoI want to cancel my free seven day trial and want to cancel my monthly subscription. Today is the last day of the seven. When I signed up for this, I was told I would get an email two days before my free trial was up and have not received it yet. If I don't hear from you before the end of the day, I will contact the credit card company that I used and stop the payment for this app. The app only shows my home and nothing else. Please contact me today. Thanks

So far not so good
I’ve had HuntWise on my iPhone for a few years. It was a free app when I started using it. It was also very easy to use and an almost perfect app for a hunter. I had 7 stands marked and could open the app and check all the stands for wind, moon phase, temp etc. in about three minutes. But all good things come to an end. HuntWise started to “improve” the app and wanted everyone to purchase the new one. So they started to take away from the free one. This month I gave up and upgraded to the Pro. So far not impressed at all. From the pics on the come-on’s to upgrade I thought I would be getting what used to be free. Wrong! So far it is amazingly difficult to use. My original stands are on the map but not listed. So the only way to get to the stand is use my finger to move the map to the stand. Once there all that is shown is the stand itself, no wind direction....nothing! Then when I try to get a prediction the app immediately defaults to my home. I’ll play with the app some more but I doubt that I’ll be a HuntWise costumer much longer. If they would get back to what they had when it was free, simple to use and very informative, I would gladly pay.

Shady Business Practices/Information Collection
I can’t trust this app because of their shady web community practices. Huntwise operates like a scammer. They post myriad "product pages" that appear in search results like a desirable product in stock at a good price. The purchase link says, "sign in to buy." You have to create an account--including verifying a live mobile phone number (a valuable commodity for them to sell; already associated with a product interest) in order to find out that the "product page" is just a link to a store somewhere who once had that product for sale. (They mostly seem to be dead links.) After they have collected your information, there is no mechanism to delete your account or remove your information. You just remain a registered “user” (presumably improving stats for their funding rounds??) If you email them to ask for your account to be deleted, they will remind you that their service (verifying your email and cell phone to send you to a discontinued Cabela’s product page) helped you discover new products. Sure, I needed to trade my identity to them to discover that Cabela’s sells jackets. That’s shameless. I consider these guys scammers.

Overpriced for bloat and doesn’t work as advertised.
I’m not wasting my time going into detail again as the appstore keeps deleting my review but this app charged me $120 when I clicked start 7 day trial and the pro layers don’t even work and the rest of the features are either available in free version or just extended (like the 15 day forecast instead of the free 2 day forecast). Greedy developers instead of hunters trying to help other hunters. Got to love corporate america, the indians sold their souls for casinos and Jeff and the rest of the hunters sold their souls to charge some unfortunately low mental capacity individuals $120 a year for something clunky that used to be free. The good reviews are from before the update. Beware!
