I have used Merlin in the windows version for some time as research tool. However the Iphone and Ipad versions keep crashing. Now I cannot even open it.

Merlin's functionality is solid, but the intrusive ads hinder user experience. Constant interruptions detract from its usefulness. A less intrusive approach to advertising would greatly improve the app.
Almost okay. Starting from a base of 5 stars I have to dock the app for a couple omissions.

It’s giving me chatGPT 4o, but it’s missing the essential memory feature so I always have to start over from scratch in each chat. There is no memorizing of my home city, my favorite recipe format, my metric preference and so forth. That takes away a certain amount of functionality. Minus 1 star.
Also it doesn’t have the helpful voice chat feature that’s in the chatGPT iOS app, which is extremely useful while chatting while active doing things. Furthermore the read aloud function doesn’t use chatGPT’s advanced voice but instead the somewhat inferior system voice. Minus 2 stars.
