Can’t use anything without in app purchases

TVRemote is not good, you should all use the official Roku App that gives you control for free unlike this one that makes you pay just to control.

I’m so glad I discovered this and didn’t waste my money here when I lose my remote.

I downloaded this with them not informing me it would cost money. Even after I got scammed, it still won’t connect to my tv or even the apps won’t work. I basically got robbed. Going to report this to try and get my money back. Waste of time with TVRemote.

There is an official and much better version of this officially licensed by Roku.
Use that one.
TVRemote has constant adds requires pay and is most definitely doing something fishy with your information, that it asks for.
Tl;dr don’t get TVRemote. It is a scam

I got TVRemote to connect to my tv and after purchased I realized I had to pay and so I was going to delete it and it will not delete so now it’s just a waste of space on my phone WORST APP EVER

I couldn’t connect. Also not so long ago these apps were for free. It’s a money machine. Do something useful - go to the garden.

I broke my remote and was looking for an app that could replace it until I get a new one. I installed TVRemote and instantly, I’m spammed with ads. Not too bad, but annoying… I try to use the remote… IT WANTS YOU TO PAY $40 DOLLARS TO USE IT… $40?!?!?!? Something like $5 is okay (should be free) but $40 is outrageous! Although it does offer things like you can just go to apps with a button, thats just stuff a normal remote can do! Do not bother downloading TVRemote.

Lost my remote & downloaded this thinking it was a legitimate Roku remote. Completely missed where it said they would charge me WEEKLY. Well here we are a few weeks in forgetting I had downloaded it, realizing they charged me twice already. From now since yesterday after already robbing my account, they tried taking out 8 more times within two days. DONT DO IT! This Is A Warning. Highly not recommended.

Downloaded thinking this was the free Roku remote. It works, but changes $6.50 a week?? Give me a break.

I just needed a tv remote app to turn my TV on and off , next thing I know I apparently got a year subscription for 40 dollars. Haven’t paid the 40 dollars but they keep trying to charge my card for the money even though I went back and canceled my subscription.

There is a Roku remote app that is free. This is not it. Do not buy; there is no reason to pay for this. Anyone who gives this more than one star is not a real user.

Never have I wanted to write a review so badly. I worry about every little detail others may see and the anxiety from what they may think. I tell you what though TVRemote is so bad at being any use with my TV I couldn’t get to the write a review option fast enough. Thank you for helping with my personal issues my anxiety and public fears of judgement gone most likely temporary but still a great relief. Again thanks. To all y’all considering TVRemote unless your phone is gonna become your paper weight and you insist on having TVRemote as your display its nothing but a waste. The outrages price tells you to turn back a new remote only takes a day to get and cost all of $7. Trash nothing but trash. Wish there was a way to block apps and their creatures by any and all keywords associated.

What a ridiculous “free” app. It doesn’t even list “in app purchases” like every other often worthless app. This one is just extra worthless. There is no functionality available to you once you download this “free” app. It sends you through a cycle of the same ads and requests $30ish to use any part of the remote app. The official Roku app has a remote that works and it’s free….then why am I here you may ask..? The Roku app and remote just happens to be down (first time I’ve ever encountered that) and I can’t find new batteries for my actual Roku remote…I thought this would/could be a simple fix for rn, but naaaah! Two thumbs DOWN.

See title. Basic functionality did not work for Roku TV. Not even the mute button worked

Worked for 2 of my tvs for 1 month now after purchasing full in app functions shocker it doesn’t work. Don’t purchase save your money

When I see my TV right in front of me then it was not working it says no device found and I had to give it one star I wish I could give it a zero star

I’m so sorry to say this but I do not like TVRemote at all I Connected it to my tv and then when I tried to use it it kept saying I had to pay for it and it didn’t say that in TVRemote Store so I had to download the right one and now I can’t delete this this one off my phone so now I’m stuck with it so I gave it a one store and if it were an option I would give it a 0

I lost my remote and broke it then I wanted to get a remote app to like use my TV so then I doubt TVRemote I’m like oh TVRemote seems so good and and then I see like Jersey thing like it says connect to my TV so I connected it and every time I try to like use it it kept on saying you have to pay for it and I’m like it’s a remote app. It’s a remote app for a reason like you don’t need to pay for the remote, so this is why I do not recommend

This remote does not work half the time or connect all the time. I downloaded it once before paid the life time subscription. Got another phone downloaded TVRemote again and had to pay again. Not worth it. Would rather get a universal remote at Walmart

Yeah you search free Roku apps and get this one and then they charge you $40($42 something after tax) before your “free trial” ends, and don’t even comment saying your ridiculous responses, yes I checked to cancel my subscription in TVRemote Store, app itself, and yes it was BEFORE the 3 days were up, I even called customer service for Apple, YOU charged my card not Apple, your ridiculous scam to not even put it “in app purchases”, your “3day free trial” is a total scam as well. And why do I get attacked with ads even during the fee trial, oh I mean free trial. I would love to see your response to this but I’m for sure you will tell me to “ cancel before 3 days or to check with Apple as the scripting go through them or to email your “team”, even tho I’m sure your some dude in a basement can I plz have my money back scammer?
