I used the app because I often have issues when ordering via the website. Somehow, the app is even worse. First, it took me several attempts to get the app to find my address for delivery. I had used to the saved address under my profile that Zupas has delivered to multiple times, and it kept saying it wasn’t available. Finally, I re-entered the exact same address, and I was finally able to start my order. Then the real frustration began. At least four times, I went through the entire process of adding all of my items to the cart. The indicator in the top corner even said I had two meals in my cart. Then every time I went to check out, they suddenly cleared and it said a didn’t have any items selected. Okay, fine, let me try again. Lather, rinse, repeat. Finally I decided to do my order via the web browser, and when I logged in to my account it said I had 8 items already in my cart for a total of $65 (though when I checked my cart, all the menu items were blank/“not found”). So it must have cached my info from the app login, but not in any way that was useful. Okay. Delete them all one by one. Go back to menu. Finally get items in cart and complete checkout via web. How on earth can you roll out an app so dysfunctional that it can’t even do the bare minimum of its intended function?

I used to use the original Zupas app often. I was disappointed that there was no loyalty option because I ordered frequently.
I was exciting get the new app and start earning bonuses. Unfortunately, the timing of the new app coincided with my college kids being home for the summer and my food habits changing temporarily.
Today I met a friend for lunch at Zupas. I tried multiple times to pre-order my salad with the app. When it kept not working, I switched to a different salad order with the same result—“Error; this item does not exist.”
I ended up ordering in person and scanning my app in the store. My friend let me also scan my app for her order. Later this afternoon, I was again disappointed when I saw that neither purchase had been credited to my account.
I am looking forward to the app being repaired so that I can earn rewards for my purchases of food I love.

The app is not accepting any of the passwords I try to use while simultaneously not telling me what characters I should be excluding. Also these are extremely common characters like the @ symbol, parenthesis ( ), hyphen - , or an asterisk * that your developers arbitrarily decided people don’t use. It’s 2023, why are these characters not available for use? I absolutely HATE having to change my password routine for hack developers. I won’t use the app or your crappy rewards until you fix it. It’s inconvenient enough that I have rather lost my appetite for soup today or for the next few weeks.
