Today we called to see what the wait was. The young lady said there were tables available. So we were on our way!
20 minutes later when we arrived the place was empty and the cashier told us that they were only taking online orders……
So we went outside and placed an order. However, the $5.99 coupon would not work. So I asked for help… then a crew leader came out and told me that the coupon said no online orders even though the first line of the coupon states dine in, take out or carry out….. so she went in back to ask the manager… she returned, no sight of the manager, and all she said was “I’m sorry”.
I’m sorry does not provide solutions! Nobody made any attempt to find a solution. Then I was told that the registers were down and they could not take any orders…. So we paid 40% more than we needed to because the “Kids” were hungry. And we were already an hour into this horedeal.
I understand C-19 restrictions, masks, and keeping our distances but whey open if the service is going to be so frustrating that you never want to return. It was like all workers were zombies. I can only hope that the cook can come through. We will not return for at least a year because it’s going to take at least a year to get back to normal it seems…

Working and getting lunch can be difficult, especially on Friday’s. Six employees placed orders for pick up at 12 pm. One of the orders accidentally got placed for pickup at 10 am! I immediately called and spoke to the manager Tony, to get it moved to 12 pm. He could have told me at that time he was deleting the order and I would have to order again, but he didn’t! Also, two of the orders went through on the Corner Bakery phone app and said order placed! But In fact they did not go through! Instead of calling the customer, they sent an email saying there was a problem with the payment! Remember, it’s Friday and we are at work. Not looking for emails on our phone! We got there to pick up our food and three of them had to be paid for by the employee picking them up. I am very disappointed and we may not be going back!

I love eating in Corner Bakery, until today when I ordered for delivery that I discovered that they don’t care for the safety of their customers. I ordered online and my food was delivered through DoorDash. When I received my food, the plastic bag wasn’t sealed and the pasta sauce was all over the plastic. I called them to complain but the manager who I spoke to said that they never seal the plastic and just like that, she tried to credit back my credit card and refund the food. That’s not my point though. In the height of COVID-19, they should make sure to seal the bag before handing it to the delivery person. What if the driver has Covid and spreads the virus to the food? On top of that, the manager was rude and just brushed me off. She gave me no explanation and no apology. Corner Bakery must train their frontliners, specially the managers on how to properly handle complaints.
