Ozlo Sleepbuds Reviews

When the Ozlo app is running, the performance of the Bluetooth connection between the phone and case is impacted so severely the phone must remain stationary within 12" of the Ozlo case or Bluetooth audio (podcast, music) will stutter horrifically.

Every other Bluetooth audio device I've ever owned has been capable of a range well beyond 10' (and often approaching 25-40' before stuttering).

When OzloSleepbuds is running, the range is less than 1 foot.

If I swipe-up-to-kill, the stuttering stops for a reasonable range, but so do the features OzloSleepbuds is meant to manage.

I've been trying to get support to escalate this problem so somebody with a clue can analyze it, but they have turned out to be utterly useless (which is unfortunately the case for most support organizations these days).

I cannot recommend OzloSleepbuds or this product until the company steps up to take ownership of this bug and addresses the ineptitude of its support organization.

I recently noticed that the Ozlo Sleepbuds app is consuming an alarming amount of battery on my phone, even when I’m not actively using the Sleepbuds. According to my battery usage stats, OzloSleepbuds accounted for 21% of my total battery consumption, which is absolutely excessive for something I wasn’t even using at the time. This is frustrating because, as someone who relies on my phone throughout the day, having an app unnecessarily drain my battery in the background is unacceptable. I hope the developers can address this issue quickly with an update, as it seriously affects OzloSleepbuds ’s usability for those of us who expect it to be active only when needed.

When these work they are fantastic. Comfortable, lightweight, and great audio. The trouble is that you often have to pair them each time you want to use them. Being frustrated at an app right before you try to go to sleep and being forced to look at a screen doesn’t make for restful slumber.

With v 1.15.x, when I first open OzloSleepbuds for the night and click play, the sound starts off literally like a gunshot before continuing with the selected sound. Only seems to happen the first time.

Credit due for tiny size and perfect ear fit. It’s hard to get the power consumption to match the tiny battery for an eight-to-nine hour operating target. Kudos for that. Setup was cumbersome and a UI disaster. Working better with recent firmware updates. Bluetooth data buffering problems causes audio interruptions for several seconds several times per hour. This appears to be a widespread problem with other users. I hope to see improving products and lower pricing. This is a niche product for which there is a great need in the market. Thanks to the former engineers from Bose who took the plunge to make it happen.

I live on the first floor of a house in a room with 8 windows right on the corner of a busy street of a college town. So safe to say it’s hard to sleep because of the noise, this product has helped me a ton on noisy nights for falling asleep. It’s a great product.

Only reason I gave it a 4 star is because it was a total pain to connect to my phone (after it did connect though I’ve had 0 issues with it) and because sometimes like one in every 3 or 4 nights I use it I wake up because one of my ears is super itchy usually my right, but I think that’s just a me thing that I have dry ears or something. Other than that it’s an amazing product.

I limped my original Bose Sleep buds along waaay past the time I shud have trashed them….. to the point where only one actually worked. I was devastated when I had to go back to foam earplugs - knowing full well the ear aches to come I couldnt jump on board fast enough when I found your kickstarter. I literally counted the days until I received them. They are LIFE CHANGING. I simply cannot function without them. Your updates and communications are fantastic. I truly appreciate how customer oriented and quality driven you are. Thank you for such a wonderful product. I am forever grateful!!

I was a longtime Bose Sleep buds user. I was concerned when those stopped making them. But my worries were unfounded because Ozlo came and they aren’t delivering exactly what I needed to help my sleep.

I love them and I love some of the new sounds that they have.

I’m on only my second night of using these sleep buds, but in those two nights I have gotten more GOOD sleep than I have in a very long time. Partner snoring - no problem! Traffic noise - don’t hear it! Can’t stop thinking about things - my brain relaxes! Thank you OZLO engineers!!

Took time to get the product and then for the product to work the bugs and UX out but they have gotten it and it's perfection now! It's now better than the Bose buds, as promised, which is incredible turn around!

Love the buds and OzloSleepbuds ! I use it every night and have it set to play my sleep meditation for 15 min and then play sleep noise the rest of the night. I sleep so much better and then my alarm wakes me up without disturbing anyone in the room. The customization to my sleep routine is unreal. 5 stars for changing my life. Cool design and seamless app.

I am a super-fan of Ozlo, and the product just keeps getting better. The buds are super comfortable, OzloSleepbuds is easy to use, and I love both the streaming feature and the range of sounds. This product has saved my marriage (kidding, but not entirely), and the funny part is that I use them even when I’m sleeping alone. Ozlo has transformed my sleep *that* much. I highly, highly recommend!

I purchased one for me and the wife and they did not disappoint. I had both sets of Bose sleepbuds prior and these are an upgrade!! Only thing for a beta release later is to have them connect when not in the case and in our ears when we open OzloSleepbuds . Minor inconvenience these are well worth the price!!

I have tried many types of earplugs and ear buds to try to block out my husband’s snoring, but none have worked well nor been comfortable while side sleeping until these. I am a very light sleeper, but I’m getting better quality sleep and waking up feeling more refreshed since using these because I’m not being woken up multiple times each night anymore. Highly recommend. Worth the price!

My husband snores so loud I had to sleep in another bedroom. Ozlo sleepbuds have changed that. We are sleeping in the same bed again.🥰
The different variations of sounds allow for softer sounds or when the snoring is the loudest, I can play a more vibrant sound.
However, my favorite feature on the sleepbuds is the ability to play music or podcasts then it will transfer to my specific sound after the podcast is over.

I became a member of the Ozlo community when it was still on kickstarter. Waited months to receive them. Bugs related to battery life and performance were quickly worked out in the weeks following release. It’s been about six months since then and I couldn’t be more pleased. They are truly low profile and comfortable for side sleepers. The sound quality is good. The streaming to sleep sounds works flawlessly. It’s a niche product but if it fits your personal needs, it’s worth every penny!

I’ve been eyeing these for months and finally decided to buy them after a particularly sleepless night. My husband jokes that I wake up if a mouse farts in another room, which is probably not true, but I definitely wake up to his snoring. I’ve had these for a week and I go to sleep within minutes of popping them in and sleep through the night. I was really nervous that they would be uncomfortable but they really aren’t. I can feel them in, but they are not painful to sleep on as a side sleeper.

I have tried finding ear pods I could sleep with with no luck. They are all either too big, fall out or uncomfortable if not all three. I even tried getting a pillow with a hole in the middle to put my ear thru. Not of these options worked. These “sleep pods” fit the bill. They are great for me, a side sleeper that uses a full face cpap mask. Incredibly comfortable, don’t stick out so you can sleep on your side, and automatically switch to sleep sound once you are asleep. The only problem is now I have to buy a second pair for my wife!

I used to use a sleep headband that would move during the night. I’d constantly need to reposition it & it wasn’t noise canceling.
Since getting my Ozlo sleep buds, I’ve never slept better. I recently took them on a trip to Europe & they drowned out the music playing outside of the hotel. Everyone was complaining about the noise the next morning, except me.
I can’t say enough about this product. If you’re on the fence, go for it.
They did take me a week or so to get used to having something in my ear, but the multiple tips make for a great fit.

I got my sleep buds a while ago and they seem magical to me- so comfortable and tiny, I’m impressed they packed all of that into such a small earbud. OzloSleepbuds runs smoothly and I have zero complaints, updates come out regularly and are easy to install.
