How was it that you decided to discontinue an app with no further warning. I had to arrive to a job site to use the same Theta app that I have used for years to capture images with my Theta Z1 camera. Only open it up on site and be told that RICOH360 was discontinued on today’s date. I download the new app, now I have to register an account with you guys just to connect to the camera. This wasted 30 minutes of time for me as I had to reconnect the camera to my device. Thank God this didn’t happen in front of a client.
Ricoh is a disaster. RICOH360 doesn’t work with my original Ricoh Theta, and my old 360 videos are now inaccessible. Will never buy a product from them again. So much for my videos of my kid when he was younger.

Not clear if I can access all my 360 photos that I previously took with ThetaV and saved to my iPad. Appears to be a major downgrade in functionality.
Please give us back the old app. This new update has removed crucial functionality that makes the Theta Z1 useless for my business.
RICOH360 only supports iPhone, when used on an iPad it is completely poor. When will this also accommodate iPad and have a better app appearance?
Camera worked fine with the Theta app and Zillow 3D home app. New app broke all compatibility between the two effectively breaking a large portion of my real estate business.
The older app had bracketing for the SC2. RICOH360 doesn’t seem to have that feature. This is literally the only reason I bought this camera…
It doesn’t matter to me if RICOH360 is good - If I have to create an account and give you my location to connect to my camera, you will not get more than 1 star. Make that optional - I don’t have time for this stuff.
The old app is no longer supported. With this new app you can’t view 360 pictures on your phone. You have to connect to the camera. That feature has been “coming soon” for 8 months.
Never had issues connecting to the camera with the old app. It was simple and easy to use. This new one is just headaches. Wasted over 30 minutes at work just trying to connect to the dumb thing. Don’t fix it if it ain’t broke
Imagine showing up to a project and whip out your ricoh theta only to find RICOH360 updated and you cant get it to connect, RICOH360 crashes, and now you can’t use on of the best items in the toolbox! How about leaving the old app accessible! It was perfectly functional!
Once I login, it’s just a perpetual white screen. The camera itself has no screen, so RICOH360 is the only way to make use of the camera at all. Please fix asap. Camera is a complete waste of money without a properly functioning app to support it.
I have Theta that seems to have fallen off the radar. Disappointing that there is no longer an app to connect to it. Even an old app is better than none. Camera is difficult to use now. Even being a Ricoh employee won’t help this problem!
Since I HAD to start using RICOH360 my sc2 doesn’t seem to want to connect. When it finally does I can’t delete any photos because it fails and then disconnects the camera. I attempted to do a firmware update and the camera doesn’t seem to respond. Go back to the old app that wasn’t broke
This Ricoh 360 app make your Theta camera obsolete if you care about privacy of your data. To now use your camera you must create an account and agree to both a privacy policy and terms of service. The prior Theta app respected basic privacy and did not require an account or the review of two legal agreements.
Now my camera won’t connect.
I’m a VFX supervisor that uses the Z1 as my backup HDRI camera and RICOH360 is a major upgrade to the old version. The AE Bracket feature is exactly what I’ve been looking g for and have had to use plug ins on the camera to use before this. The plug ins still work and can be run via RICOH360 but now I don’t think I need them! Full manual control for a 9 bracket HDRI and I get to choose the number of stops between exposures is a dream come true. This is so fast and I can get multiple HDRIs and take up no time on set. THANK YOU RICOH!!!!
RICOH360 has worked flawlessly for me while using my Theta Z1. Connection has been fine and functionality with the camera has worked beautifully.
