TV Cast for Roku App Reviews

I love TVCast , I even purchased an ad blocker. For some reasons now my device just wont connect to the Roku TV, its in a loop and it never gets connected. I tried to reinstall TVCast ( and apparently now I have to buy ad block again?). I followed steps where I put my device in Airplane mode, 10 seconds later it says that it finally got connected, but once I click Web Browser, it goes back to idle reconnecting. I tried unplugging my tv, my router, I have waited ( yes, both devices are connected to the same network , I have checked multiple times ) and nothing seemed to be working. I will gladly change my review when the problem is fixed.

I dont know how to see the device or model I use? It is a TCL TV, I can disconnect all the devices and reconnect them again to same network and nothing happens, It wont connect, it wont find the TV to connect too (yes, tv and a phone connected to the same wifi ) . It keeps going on , sometimes its just randomly connects when I use fly mode and back, but as I said, sometimes, 1 time out of 100 tries. So the review stays the same is 1/5, because I cant still use TVCast I paid for, and I dont wanna sit and spend 30 minutes going fly mode and back and hope this time it will work.

TVCast does EXACTLY what it says it will do, if not m😳re! (If that’s somehow p🤨ssible.) in all honesty though, this 💎 of an app is an absolute insta-download if... 1. You own/ use a Roku. 2. Want to cast either photos, music, or videos/ movies🎞 🎥🍿 from your 📱onto your 🖥! It worked perfectly from the minute I downloaded it for the sole purpose of casting movies I had been streaming from a website on my iPhone, onto a bigger screen, being my somewhat older, Vizio 37 in. flatscreen! Not to mention there wasn’t and still hasn’t been N🚫T ☝🏼problem or issue which seems to be VERY rare these days w/ all the apps out there nowadays! Anyways, I recommend this one 💯% to everyone out there!✌🏼 TVCast is a God send! 🙌🏼🙏🏻

I took my bad off review because you guys actually tried to fix the patch i notice that it works on mostly any movie i select from an ads free website i see movies. But if the http has google on it like for example http/:goolgeshare or http/:googlestorage or any other form of google it doesn't work it does play on my phone but says failed to load but only on google or lemonshare http/: if you could fix that patch i would be thankful and if its out of your hands still great job guys and thanks for all your hard work and actually listening to our comments and try making TVCast the best.
P.S. try fixing the google problem because narcos season 3 is only on googleshare lol 😅

If I can find a video on my phones internet,then I can watch it on my Roku tv! Which means I don’t pay for cable, satellite, or any streaming services! If you know the proper websites to use, then cut that cable now and try TVCast out. You will not regret this decision. By the way, the upgrade is necessary for pop ups. Most websites I use have extremely annoying pop ups and with the 1 time payment upgrade you never have to be annoyed again! The best app I have on my phone and I don’t have a close second.

Somehow they’ve figured out how to make one of these apps actually, consistently, work. No need to download a separate app on Roku, setup was easy - it found my Roku on the same WiFi network and casted right away. Quality is good, no jitters, and you're free to browse away on your phone once it’s casted and control w/ your Roku remote from there on. I paid to get rid of the ads, but the free version worked fine too. Bought it primarily to cast from the F1TV page (which ludicrously doesn’t have a casting option yet, but that’s another story) and it works flawlessly!

Plays media from the web flawlessly for me. It’s worked on all my iPones, 5,6 and 8. We have 3 Roku’s one the house. If your wanting to want censored content/adult stuff you want to be sure and disable the auto connect function. I haven’t figured out or know if you can lock a individual Roku to a individuals device/cell phone. So if you start streaming video it can play on any Roku you have as connected devices saved on your phone. Their may be a fix for this and I just ain’t tried that hard. Just a FYI;)

Now it takes forever just to find the T.V which is so annoying and frustrating especially because I paid for this. Before it would connect in less than a minute now its takes over 5. Please fix this or I will have to delete TVCast.

Update: after writing my first review TVCast started working again. Idk if it was a bug or something because my Wi-fi and TV were always on the same network. I am glad that it is working again just as it did before 😊

So I am laying there thinking how was I able to get watch movies from my cell phone on my roku tv and I came across TVCast, because I don’t have cable but this right here is the truth because I no longer have to strain my eyes watching on a small screen.. thank you so much for TVCast now I can watch full featured movies from my phone on my Roku TV.. and still use my phone at the same time.. streaming is what it is... which is why I dropped the cable..... thanks again this is the first time I am actually writing a review for an app.. luv it

TVCast use to be something I told everyone about. Im not sure when it happened, most likely from a patch. I get constant interruptions where a video will not stream on the first attempt but does on the second. After 5-20 minutes it will just disappear and show the linked screen. I have tried restarting my iPad, router, and tv. I get the same result no matter what is playing. I hope I am not alone in this and there will one day be a fix!

I used TVCast for a few weeks and loved it enough to upgrade to Pro. It seems most of my issues started not long after that. I sometimes wonder if the bugs are in the Pro versions ad blocker.

TVCast was always kind of buggy but it worked most of the time and worked better then most other developers similar apps. But the new upgrade while it provides a most polished update has broken TVCast 9 out of 10 times so it is basically unusable. First you start playing the click, then it asks to cast with ad, which either doesn’t play on the screen and hides another click box behind the video that you need to minimize or more often casts the commercial and then never casts the video. It’s really annoying I’m basically given up on it now.

What was a 3.5 rating before is now less than a 1 since it only works one out of ten times.

Every single time I try to cast anything from TVCast, I have to watch an ad. Fine. Whatever. But every time I watch the stupid ads, TVCast says I have to reconnect to my roku. When I do reconnect and try to cast again, guess what. I have to watch another ad. I have tried everything I can think of to get TVCast to cast a single video to my roku, and It. Never. Works. TVCast was a waste of my time and definitely a waste of $6.99 to whoever actually pays for this garbage. -Update: I found a roku casting app that I like much more, and the free version of that app works remarkably well. The paid version of that app works even better.-

TVCast is awesome as it allows me to watch all my anime that I otherwise can’t access without a wired connection to a computer.

I also bought all the premium features because they’re amazing, and TVCast really should cost money up front. But I appreciate the developers keeping TVCast free so people can try it out.

The only reasons I gave TVCast 4 stars is because of of the remote feature. It would make more sense to me if the remote buttons were at the bottom instead of the top. That way, one-handed use would be super easy and convenient. Also, volume buttons and a mute button would be amazing as well.

Additional request but this doesn’t affect the rating. Please add a dark mode to your app. It would be wonderful especially at night in a dark room.

I've tried two other apps for streaming Jeopardy...and they’ve been very spotty. Some episodes work, some don't. There are ads preceding each episode and I suspect some apps handle those better than others.

TVCast (the free version) has been rock-solid in successfully streaming whichever episode I choose. If it continues to work well, I have no problem in supporting their development by purchasing upgrades. It's like a dream cone true.

I absolutely love TVCast, it’s super simple to use and allows you to use any platform you wish to stream videos. They also ask every time if it was a successful cast, and all messages/notifications are very friendly. All around a great app, I have zero complaints. You can also pay a minuscule fee for endless benefits, SO worth it! If you have a Roku and don’t have TVCast, you’re seriously missing out.

Most of these reviews are old and not very helpful. I’ll try to help as best I can. I’ve had TVCast for 3 days and the past two were excellent! I got to stream from 123movies, putlocker, you name it. Now, for some reason when I try to load something from those websites it doesn’t work.

“Video failed to play video”

It works for some other sites, but it’s not working out well on the ones I like to use for my movies.
The most recent bug fix patch I saw was from 2 months ago.

(Man I wish app devs would explain what was fixed in the patch notes more, WINK WINK!!)

I paid for TVCast recently and even that hasn’t fixed it. Six bucks is a bit much for the pro version, but I was and still am pleased it works on other sites.

There is A LOT of potential here, and I mean A LOT. I just wish the devs would fix the issue of the videos not playing consistently...

TVCast works for like a couple of days then you get in a problem where any video you try to watch won’t work but I let breathe for like a week then came back and had the same problem but then I pressed I reloaded it and once that failed I casted it before my tv said it failed and it worked this won’t make sense unless you have TVCast but after that it is playing this video idk if this fixed the problem or not but it worked at least this once

Great app, comes in handy when you want to watch something on your tv but don’t want to go through mess of connecting your laptop.

However, it poses some challenge if you have multiple Roku devices in your home. TVCast automatically connects to the first Roku device it starts. It ends up starting my tv in other room - i wish they turn off that feature if the network has multiple Roku devices and let user chose one at startup.

I never leave reviews, I also don’t pay for apps and only get ones that are free, well, after getting the fabulous free version of TVCast & because I use it ALL THE TIME, I paid to upgrade as well! Free or paid this one is a must have! Sure it may freeze up every now & again which also may be due to my router or WiFi, still I don’t know what I would do without it! Developers you are much appreciated in my book so I just want to say THANK YOU!!!

I am almost 1000% sure that all of the reviews that are written below are from the developer themselves because this actual application does not even recognize a Roku stick a Roku television or any other streaming platform at that even if you pay for it. So my suggestion is just do not waste your time and go buy yourself something that’s actually compatible and not from TVCast Store because these guys have absolutely lost their minds scamming people. I’m sure the developer will get defensive and try to leave a reply below but trust me they are full of it. TVCast does not work. The end!

just what it promises to do. If you are confused and think that this is an app that you can just watch anything from your phone to your TV you’re mistaken you have to go to the website in order to be able to see it so it does exactly what it supposed to nothing more nothing less I think this is a five start at

I have had TVCast to screencast through our Roku for over a year now. It has ALWAYS been reliable. Even when apple updated their iOS system and it became incompatible with TVCast , the developers kept us updated the entire time that they knew of the issue, offered a temp fix, and when they hoped to have the issue resolved.
I also want to say that I am not a tech geek, app specialist, or even that knowledgeable about screencasting. Everything I know I learned through TVCast. We use it EVERY SINGLE DAY to watch shows my husband and I grew up on and loved like Quincy M.E., Hercules, Xena-Warrior Princess, Seaquest DSV, Fantasy Island, and Firefly.
But we also use it to screencast current shows and all their past seasons like Murdoch Mysteries, The Shannara Chronicles, The Walking Dead, Chicago Fire, Once, and so many more... That doesn’t even begin to cover the amount of movies we have watched! Too many to even list...
I truly can’t say enough great things about TVCast. I have recommended it to everyone I know and to whomever is reading this review. I also paid to unlock all the extras and it was worth EVERY penny!

I have tried at least 5 different stream to Roku apps. This one works with the live streams I send to it virtually every time. If the stream plays on your iOS device in safari or other web browser, TVCast will make it play on your roku. At least it has for me. It’s very good at sorting through the junk on a webpage and finding the stream url and flicking it to your Roku.

TVCast is fairly simple to use but of course could still use some improvements. For example, would be great if it was possible to queue videos so you don’t have that gap in between of searching and then loading each video separately especially since there doesn’t seem to be a way to open multiple tabs (though perhaps I’m just not seeing it).

If I could give TVCast a -0 stars I would. When I first downloaded TVCast it worked great opening up on my Roku from my iPhone but after a few weeks it stopped! When I open it and start a movie as soon as the movie comes on it kicks off and goes back to the Roku home page. I’ve deleted and reinstalled still doesn’t work. I’ve updated TVCast and still doesn’t work. I’m so aggravated after spending almost 40 minutes trying to get this to work it’s just not worth my time anymore. It’s a great app concept but who needs it wasting space on their iPhone if it doesn’t even work.

This is a pretty good casting up (I have paid versions for both roku and firestick) but each app tends to have a set of issues. The Roku version connects easier, but lately the audio stops working mid cast and I cannot get it to work again. The same video will work on the firestick version of TVCast .

And the firestick version of TVCast works well once connected, but I have 3 firestick and it rarely connects on the first try. I usually have to reboot the stick to get it to connect.
