Other apps provide additional capabilities that make for a much better user experience. Here are some suggested enhancements:
1) When receiving a notification and clicking on it, I should be taken to the location where the notification is related to. If it was a change, that change should be highlighted.
2) The ability to track the score for games in real time should be added
3) A game timer that can be set by the coach or manager, so the team members (parents) know roughly how much time is left in the game or half.

Can you please bring back the options to login with your Google or Facebook account. I used the google option with the 1.0 app but can’t get logged in now. I attempted to reset my password on your site but this doesn’t allow login to OTTOSPORT .

OTTOSPORT is the only one that our club uses for team management, unfortunately. Interface is not very intuitive. Notifications do not always seem to work.

Parents routinely say they don’t see the messages.

You think everything is working but it seems like nobody ever wants to use OTTOSPORT or engage in it, which tells me that it’s just not well liked.

How can you make a team app without the ability to subscribe to the calendar? That’s a pretty major component! I cannot subscribe to my google calendar and sync the team calendar. Even though I don’t use my iPhone calendar I tested it out and the sync feature doesn’t even work, no events showed up. Please add the basic subscribe to calendar feature so parents can actually use OTTOSPORT successfully!!!

Without the ability to subscribe to the calendar, this makes my life incredibly difficult. I don’t want to have to manage this one app calendar separately from all my other apps that easily integrate into Gmail.

So why won’t it sync? Been using OTTOSPORT forever, and can no longer get it to sync to my fully updated iCal. The Sync option is the entire reason we use OTTOSPORT and it won’t sync!

The calendar sync doesn’t work. It seems to automatically send a Demosphere calendar to the wrong account. Can you just provide a subscription link like most apps? Then I can view the calendar from the right place.

Doesn’t show events for me, but all other household accounts work fine.

Beware. I tried to sync the calendar and it erased my calendar and items could not be restored. Worked with Apple tech support and all. Just a warning!

Overall UI is better than 1.0 but I really miss the calendar sync. Haven’t been able to get that working, hopefully enough people submit bug reports on this to fix it.

Have tried multiple times to sync calendar. No luck. All permissions are set to allow this and I get no message. Obviously poor app integration and hard to do anything at all. Can’t even set availability for upcoming events.

Unable to do anything as there is no google login

Has twice now deleted all my Apple calendars. No longer giving permission to access calendar.

Both times this happened coincided with a message of an app notice and the only items that remained on my calendar were demosphere events. All my other events were mass deleted.

I’m not sure why a modern app designed for scheduling kids sporting events does not have a feature to subscribe to a calendar. Please enhance OTTOSPORT so it supports webcal links so I can subscribe. I don’t want to give a strange app access to read and write to my private iCal schedule. BTW the sync button is not working either for me, events are not showing up even after reluctantly giving OTTOSPORT permission to my iPhone calendar. Please improve, subscribing to calendar is basic functionality.

So ap version 1.0 and the demosphere website use google and FB log in. Ap 2.0 doesn’t, not to mention using my regular gmail password doesn’t work - so fix it because my league is using it.

The updated 2.0 app doesn’t show much improvement over 1.0. Some things seem
More cumbersome to find. The biggest disappointment is that there is still not the ability to add attachments in messages. This would be very helpful for sharing field maps, roster information and other info with the team.

App says my calendars are synched, they aren’t despite multiple attempts. Good app when the coach adds the info, but useless for adding that info to my calendar. I’d rather just have a paper schedule at this point.

The sync feature does not sync all events. It adds 2 hours to all practice start times. Example: in OTTOSPORT says 3:30 start time, the time in my calendar synced from OTTOSPORT says 5:30. All events are also not syncing to my phone calendar.

I’ve used a few team management programs over the years and Demosphere 2.0 is by far the worst. My biggest frustrations are as follows:
1) You still can’t add pictures! How handy would it be to attach a tournament field map for my parents?!
2) When making changes, I wish I could pause notifications until I get all the edits done. Parents don’t like having their phones blown up over every little thing.
3) On 1.0, I could copy/paste a link and it would work. Now with 2.0, it doesn’t offer that. Wth?!
4) Easily my biggest frustration is when I do send or receive a change to a game/practice/event, I open OTTOSPORT and it just goes to the homepage. It doesn’t even display what changed. Other apps handle this quite well.
Hopefully 3.0 will be something that is actually user friendly for admins and parents, but a lot of work needs to be done to get there.

If you have any sway with a coach tell them to use TeamSnap it’s far easier, has a cleaner mobile layout and is more intuitive for players and parents. Don’t usually rate things but I really wish our coach hadn’t switched to OTTOSPORT. Not s fan.

1. Notifications are spotty. While I can get OTTOSPORT to push banner and Lock Screen notifications, it doesn’t have a persistent bubble notification (i.e. the red circle with the # of missed notifications) on OTTOSPORT itself. As a result, parents often miss communications and renders the chat function fairly useless.
2. Including snack signup in addition to game availability would be incredibly helpful.
3. Links don’t work in the chat. This is not ideal for tournaments, sign ups, etc.
4. When uploading games / practices from a phone, they all fall under combined and do not show up under the game or practice tab.

OTTOSPORT is glitchy. It has good intent but so much seems unstable. Chatting is clunky, notifications are vague and don’t tie you to the event when opening OTTOSPORT .
Calendar used to sync to my local phone calendar (which is barely acceptable because it should be able to subscribe to online calendars), but then the events intermittently disappeared, which required us to either log out of OTTOSPORT and then back in or some other “force reset” solution. Now the calendar sync is not pushing to my phone at all (maybe something to do with iOS 17). But still why don’t you have the most basic calendar subscription ability yet? Why can’t we subscribe our online calendar services to the events in our demosphere app?? Families have come to depend on calendar subscription utilities. Figure it out.

OTTOSPORT isn’t bad but it would be nice if teams could add pictures in their team chats. Also during games if it allowed the teams to keep updated scores during the game. The live games needs to be added

I love the fact that there is a calendar feature and it syncs with my phone calendar. Great. But why can’t I see the actual team name? Since I have more than one kid it’d be nice to know which is which. It simply says HOME vs Rays. Or AWAY vs Eagles. Like, which one?!?!? Which kid is playing the Rays? And where is HOME? Just put the details. The team name. The field name. Please. Begging

My biggest complaints are you can’t send or share pictures on it and there is no way to contact support if you are having issues!!!

Improved UI from 1.0, but still no way for referees to update availability or sign up for games. You can only view assigned games in OTTOSPORT .

Like OTTOSPORT so far but wish the calendar would sync with google calendar. Please let me know if it does and I am just missing it.

I originally gave OTTOSPORT 1 star because it seemed impossible to log into it. Many other reviewers reported the same issue.

What I found was that there is simply no error message when login fails, and OTTOSPORT isn’t clear in the prompt as to whether we should log in with an email address or a username. Additionally, the website domain isn’t registered with OTTOSPORT to auto-populate credentials, so it makes the login process a hassle.

Now that I have been able to log into it, this updated review also assesses the rest of the interface.

OTTOSPORT seems to be a bare minimum, little more than the website formatted for a phone screen. The messaging system is slightly cleaner than that of the previous app, but it still lacks the ability to send photos or videos from games, so I will continue to share iCloud albums with the teams. Including the map with venues is a nice addition, but that’s the only major improvement I see.

Overall, OTTOSPORT seems like little more than an attempt to reset the negative reviews of the previous one, rather than a legitimate attempt at improving the product.

App is getting better! Would love to see the ability to add picture or files in messages to share a picture of the schedule to be able to share with family and friends. It would also be nice to be able to share pictures from games with other team members families.

It would also be a great feature to have where you could sync individual items instead of an entire schedule. I don’t like to add all the practices but need the games.

The first noticeable thing was how easy it was to transition from the previous app to this. All my old info was stored, and as a general consumer, that’s what we want to see. It helps curb any doubts of downloading this new format. Additionally, the navigation and clarity of OTTOSPORT is very user friendly and familiar which is good for any newcomers. Keep up the great work, appreciate all the efforts and support from this team!

I have been using OTTOSPORT for a while and have been pleased by the recent update which addresses many of the problems I had with the calendar. Its also great to be able to find relatives of team members for when you need to contact a players parent. Quick start guides are also useful! Thanks to the developers for fixing the issues.

the new interface is MUCH improved! i’m loving the easy access to my teams and the dark mode option. looking forward to even more features (photos sharing please).

We use OTTOSPORT for my son’s baseball team. It has been very useful to keep us organized and now with the calendar updates it’s even better. Well done!

Functional, easy to use, and great design. Has made my life a lot easier especially considering that I have multiple kids on different teams.

Easy to stay current on all events with calendar! OTTOSPORT keeps us organized and informed- can’t imagine kids sports without this!

Very cool how easy it is to sync to my calendar from my iPhone. I don’t have to check two places to figure out my schedule. Loving OTTOSPORT .

Our soccer league recently adopted this platform and so far I’m enjoying the ability to get important phone calls and texts on my phone (which I use for both work and home life) and have the ability to toggle sport notifications on or off.
With multiple kids’ practice times, locations and game times, it’s nice to be able to sync this information and view it on my main calendar as well.

I have my own teams plus I host many events. This really helps me out a lot and I now I don’t have to spend much time on my computer since I’m always on the go.
