Scam or not scam

Developer says this app using openai but it is not. I ask the ai if it is powered by openai and it told me it is not powered by openai. Interestingly if I removed my openai api I can’t get answer from ai as it does function. So I am very confused.
Great ChatGPT/OpenAI Alternative

All I can say is this app‘a UI/UX is smooth compared to others. I love this app for its use of OpenAI API, saving me $20/month vs ChatGPT Plus. Customizing prompts for each conversation is intuitive and useful. It would be great if the developer added preset prompts and the option to save custom prompts. Integrating the iOS share menu or shortcut integration to share URLs/text from other apps to Talky in the next version would be an excellent addition.
