Maybe I’m a mobile app Luddite, but I tried the “new and improved” mobile app for the past several days and I extremely disliked it (because my mother always taught me not to say “hate”). I love using mobile apps on the computer in my pocket. Usually mobile apps make it easier too see everything you want to see on the small screen, but I found it difficult to find the information I wanted without having to click on multiple different tabs. PLEASE don’t stop supporting the “old” app for those of us who pay for the annual subscription. I have deleted the new app and gone back to my comfort zone.

They took and antiquated app and made it harder to use.

The old app may have been old limping, but the functionality is worse.

Multiple screens and actions to consume a bottle.

Multiple screens to rate and find a wine I your cellar.

Used to be one screen.

And now ownership is having Apple delete multiple unfavorable reviews, instead of working with their loyal customers. Horrible. That’s unethical and nefarious. I am done with this company and filing a complaint with the BBB and Apple.

It’s much more difficult to drill into my list The views needs to be more compact Search by type first then break down varietals etc etc The expanded view has lots of information such as location that I don’t care about until I find the bottle I want Then I want to see the image and location so I can pull it quicker

Requires currently and excessive amount of scrolling to ind something and then can only see a few items at a time on a phone screen

I’ve had the old app for 8 years and am disappointed it’s taken this long to upgrade and more disappointed that the features are a bit lackluster compared to other apps on the market. As someone who’s sent them money for 8 years I was hoping for more. I’m not gonna pay the $160 they are demanding now. Will move to a new, more functional, more informational app with better optics.

Some of the new features are nice. But I find the old app quicker and easier to use. I saw more of the list, the new app requires more scrolling. Also where I have multiple same year Cabernets from the same vintner; I have to tap the picture or select bottle to see Which vineyard is connected to the wine bottle. The vineyard does not appear on the larger initial title. While this was true of earlier up, I could at least see the vineyard on the first screen. Also adding bottles is a little more of a hassle and less intuitive. After adding a bottle, I will return to initial cellar menu and my previous add does not show up. This has caused me to do duplicate entries and then I have to remove a bottle.
Some of the sub menu features are better.
I previously hit 1 star accidentally. Not my intention, sorry.

The application was nicely formatted for the iPhone. CellarTracker Store listing said “compatible” with iPad. Which I guess means will load. The old iPad version uses the full screen, this version is sized for a phone. Looking forward to the new functionality when adapted for the iPad screen

I like the sleek modern style. It took me a while to find my tasting notes - now called reviews - in my profile. But I can’t search that list. I like to go back and see my notes to know if I should purchase the label/variety again. They send to be just listed in the order I wrote them. Please help!

I like the new visual aspects of the iPhone version, and the ability to quickly access menus with the buttons on the home page. It also looks like “moving” a bottle between locations is more intuitive.

But need an iPad version! Right now it’s just the phone layout zoomed in. I do a lot of my cellar management on the iPad.

Been a user for a few years now was also in the beta. Really enjoying the experience of the new app over the old. Waaay better feel. Can totally see the trajectory here. Looking forward to seeing what’s next.

The new app is a big improvement over the old version and you can start to see how it’ll evolve and continue to improve in the future. It does a good job retaining the spirit of this app while modernizing and improving various aspects.

I was a very early adopter of CellarTracker after reading about it on the weekly WSJ wine page.

It is very customizable so each user can create, update, highlight, share and rate any wine that they own, drink, see, and want to comment on.

I also had a chance to be a Beta tester for the latest version and I can honestly say that CellarTracker designers took our collective comments seriously.

You can also share your wine profile with other members; join professional wine organizations and groups, see the valuation trends and read 10s of thousands of reviews.

i have been with CT for awhile now and CellarTracker is going to completely change how i manage my wine cellar. it’s much easier to find bottles that i’m looking for. this is also the best app on the market doing drinking windows that make sense. really great job and can’t wait to see what’s to come!

I tried using the old app before but this love all the improvements. Responds much faster so I can add and consume easily. Great to see more fun features too. Im addicted to reading through recent tasting notes of wines in my cellar, keep wanting to add wines to see more 🤣

If you store your wine to age it, this is a must have. CellarTracker allows you to identify your storage locations and input your wine from their extensive list of wines. It also gives advice about “drinking windows” so you have more info on when it is best to drink.

It is easy to add wines that might not be in their database and it is easy to keep tasting notes when you consume a wine.

As a long time wine lover and Cellar Tracker, I am loving the new app. It is a very intuitive app which made switching from the old app seamless. My favorite new feature is the “print wine list” feature. Keep up the great work!

Super cool to see this new and improved update to the this app mobile. It’s obvious that there’s been a lot of thought put into the key actions anyone managing their wine collection takes on a daily basis — adding purchases, relocating bottles, and (most importantly😉) consuming bottles!
I’m able to easily find wines using the label scanning, and have enjoyed perusing tasting notes of wines recommended to me on my home screen. There are so many improvements and I feel like CellarTracker is constantly surprising me with new features, which makes me super excited for what’s coming next!

Much more modern and most of the features I’m used to. One thing missing is a very quick way to print a restaurant style wine list with the option of “only my wines in”. Everything else is there and still the most powerful cellar management app with the same great community we are all so used to! Awesome upgrade!

I’ve used Cellar Tracker for more than 5 years and it love it. We have less than 1,500 bottles and it isn’t a “collection” per se, but before CellarTracker we had trouble remembering what we have, where it is in the house, what the suggested drinking window is, value, etc. and CellarTracker makes it easy to do all of these things and more. The upgraded version makes a great app even better.

As a long time this app user (since 2008), this mobile version allows easy access to my library and all wines in the database. The UI is much quicker to load and presents the data in a more flexible manner. Most tasks are easier to find and initiate. Overall a huge improvement. I’d give it a solid 97 points on the Parker scale.

I have used the old app for years and just recently upgraded to the new app. I love it! It is much easier to use to add wines and search what is currently in my cellar. Nice job by the team.

I have about 700 bottles in my cellar and I know of no way to keep track of them besides this app. It is rich in features such as drinking windows and information about the wine and it has been shown that as a group, this app reviewers are more reliable than the big names in wine reviews. Plus, it’s easy and fun to use. I don’t know where the cut off is, but if you have over 100 bottles of wine, you probably need this and won’t regret it. Note that the pricing is based on how many wines in your cellar. Considering what you get, I think the price is fair.

I’ve been a user forever. Prior to CT I had a homegrown system, a spreadsheet, and I tried at least 3-4 other solutions. I’ve even tried other solution since being a CT user, just to see if there’s anything better.

There isn’t.

And this new app is [chef’s kiss] and has set a new standard for ease of cellar management.
