Logistics FUBAR'd

Gotta say you guys kept us sane through the first six months of pandemic. Then Winecom and your logistics crashed and burned. Precious order showed up like over a week after predicted. Current shipment of 12 bottles was scheduled to arrive over a week ago. Six did arrive just over a week late. I mean I don't care, just do t say in your app they will arrive negative seven days from now. Emails keep arriving saying my order of all 12 arrived. It's been three days since my first email to support. No response. Two days ago I sent another. Got an automated response over 24 hours later. Now, tried the 800 number and was told, "no agents are available, bye [click]."

So the only remaining click is me canceling my "prime" shipping account and deleting Winecom. Logistics got the better of them. Or rather revealed assumptions and serious underlying flaws in Winecom -to-warehouse communications.

Update: currently #49 in line for chat support. Phone support won't answer and email from 5 and 3 days ago still unanswered.

Great options but hours to check out

Winecom has great options and a good selection to choose from for gifts as well as other occasions. It seems there was a price change as I was in the process of checking out, which then kicked back my order. I then received error messages that the $20 off for installing the new app was no longer valid and the price and tax were incorrect. I had to start my order all over again multiple times.
For some reason, Winecom saved the shipping address, which belongs to the gift recipient, as the billing address even though I did not request that.
I believe I finally got my order submitted after having a price increase of $10 to the item I was in the midst of purchasing, as well as an increase in the tax and shipping cost.
I am hopeful the gift turns out beautifully as it looks in the picture.

Efficiency plus

I use to spend over an hour each visit to the wine store and even then would leave without really knowing I have the best selections. By using the filters with points rating guide along with price guide for the type of wine you are searching for it’s an unbelievable time saver snd the. Throw in there is no driving to store and loading ever in snd out of the car Not to mention the discounts they offer and free shipping if you become a stewards member which you would be crazy not to

Just stay away. Delivered wrong wine, still charged, won’t respond

If you’re thinking about using this service, it’s not bad for wine reviews and general exploring, but I’d hold off on actually purchasing anything until you start seeing some *recent* positive reviews.

4 stars for overall app functionality. A hard 0 though for customer service. I ordered four bottles of red Bordeaux - order arrived timely but only one bottle was correct. To be clear, it wasn’t like they just got the vintage wrong - these were totally random and two of them were white wines.

I repeatedly reached out to customer service via email and called mult times but no answer. I’m ready to say screw it, open the incorrect wine and never use this service again.

Like the App

I like Winecom a lot. It’s easy to use, flexible to search, and straightforward to navigate.

One suggestion: when a partial order is left in the cart for a period of time, which happens when I run across something interesting but don’t have the time to complete a case or half case order, wines will drop off the order, presumably because they are out of stock, which is understandable. It would be nice if the wines dropped off were added to the Saved for Later list to remember what was selected.

A little slow, but efficient

This is s great app that comes with a built-in discount for different levels of purchase or special events or for Pete’s Sake. Kidding, but it’s very convenient to be able to make purchases on the fly, and you’d better be in the fly with it because it seems everyone has one and will make purchases on the spot at an event.

I’ve learned my lesson well. Next time, I’ll order on the spot as well. No sense in missing out on the good stuff because it’s all sold out! Unheard of, but true!

Be careful. Epic logistics system issue.

While I’ve had positive experiences with this service in the past, there seems to be an epic logistics system issue recently. I placed an order nearly a month ago that has yet to arrive. After multiple attempts to contact support, their support agents have repeatedly told me there is an issue with their logistics system and they cannot even say when the order will ship. They also cannot cancel my order. After emailing support, I have not received a response with any detail. They recently sent a broad form email from their CEO apologizing to customers for this logistics debacle.

When they’re up and running, I’m a fan or their service. For now, be very careful.

Everyone deserves a second chance.

So my last order, looks like they forgot it, I placed my order on the 21st of September as it states it can arrive on the 26th so we can have good wine to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, my card wasn’t charged, I called customer service multiple times maybe 5x al was just VM that no one can attend to my calls, I emailed multiple times, still nothing, there’s just that generic reply or confirmation that they got your email but no one really followed up, I just want to know why my order was delayed. I don’t get it as my previous orders I didn’t have a problem and suddenly when I wanted to order that it’s shipped to me, something went wrong.
So I’m hoping my order goes through today.
If not I think I’ll just stop, I took the bait of purchasing free shipping for a year and when I only used that option twice, I still didn’t get my money’s worth, I feel like I was scammed.
So be careful. I feel they will cancel my order again, as I have reached the maximum of 2 free shippings with my purchase of free shipping for a year.
I’ve been scammed.

Tour of Italy Live Tele Comference

The host of “Tour of Italy” (Gwendolyn Osborn) is a poor choice. She does not seem knowledgeable. She does not try to pronounce the wine regions or the wine names correctly. Basically she kills the names! She should at least know how to pronounce the names of the wines she is introducing. And also, she should speak slowly. She sounds like a teenager. Not profesional at all.
The Italian guests (wine makers) that were featured in the call were absolutely amazing. I will be buying their wines just because of how they spoke....nothing to do with Gwendolyn Osborn.

Nice app but can improve on 2 points

I frequently use Winecom to order wines. All in all a good app. Would be a “great” app if they can improve on 2 points. 1. Not easy to find “your order” link. Should be more prominently located. 2. When they run out of a wine that you have put in the cart, it simply disappears without any note. And you go, “I am sure I put that wine in the cart. What happened??” Would be helpful to place a note that says “We no longer have this wine...” etc. Other than these 2 points, it is a nice app. Recommend

Doesn’t work reliably, discount not given

Downloaded Winecom and chose wines for an order. Went to check out, no response from the “place order” button. Tried several times, same result. Went to customer support page, chose “Chat” button. No response even though this was during posted hours. Had to go back and start over, eventually got order to go through. However I did not get the promised $20 discount for first time app order. All in all, a frustrating experience.

App is great. Back end is horrible.

I love Winecom itself. Provides great filtering and sort criteria. It’s fantastic for “window shopping.” But the back end logistics and fulfillment is severely lacking. Orders are consistently late if they arrive at all. If something is out of stock, it doesn’t say that on Winecom , but then your order goes into the twilight zone. Customer service on problematic orders is inadequate. It’s clear they’ve not been trained well to handle exceptions. And with more and more exceptions lately, this isn’t good. It’s a great concept. Now they need to clean up their logistics so they can actually deliver.

Order wouldn’t go through for two days

On the third day, after trying by app, by website, and by customer service multiple times on the two previous days to no avail, I finally got it to process. Ordered 24 bottles instead of 30 today - was that the magic difference? Or was my account just screwed up and nobody could figure out why? I was promised an email or call back within two hours yesterday that never happened. Very frustrating, but I should have what I need in time for a big gathering next week… I hope!

Why So Many Of My Favorites Are Unavailable

The title says it all. Every time I log in to re-order a wine that I like I find that it’s “Unavailable “. This is very disappointing, as I enjoy having these wines delivered to my door. I am also paying for the Stewardship Membership, so when I want to order a wine and it’s unavailable, I feel as though I’m paying for nothing.

Great for sales and filtering, not so great for tracking favorites

Winecom runs pretty smoothly and has some good filters for selecting wines to buy. However I can’t find a way to easily come back to the wines I’ve enjoyed and would like to buy again- I have to pick through a list of my old orders, click on each wine by name, and read my review of it. There is no favorites list, no cellar tracker, and even the orders lists don’t have the label pictures for reference. If it had these things I think it would be a great app.

Can’t ask for more

First, there is an incredible selection of wine at reasonable prices. Second, there is sommelier help if you need it. Third, there are effective and easy to use filters that allow you to drill down to the right wine at the right price and the right rating. Lastly, delivery is fast. What more can you ask?

Slow, moves like a Jr. programmer wrote

Such a slow program where individual pages actually load like you’re on a 2400 baud modem with a red line at top indicating progress if the pages. Additionally, oh though I have ordered many times it continues to set my default state upon launch as California and not Florida so when I put wines in my card and go to check out it says, “Oh sorry you can’t order these because you live in Florida not California.” Ridiculous. How can an app not know where I’m located; especially when I’m logged into my profile, only shop to Florida and use it frequently. Get with it & hire a reputable app developer.

Needs update to new IOS

I love Winecom and have photos and data entered from all my years of wine consumption. However since the IOS update I’m unable to access my records,thus, everything has basically been lost
I’m hoping the developer can fix the problem so I can once again access my files

Quick and easy

I just used Winecom for my first order. The search was quick and easy. Many choices were given. Good description of products given which help in decision-making. Placing the order was also quick and easy. I love that I can pick up in town since we live out in the country and boxes usually left at our gate.

Great wines, great prices, great app

Virtually every wine style and quality anyone could want is available at very competitive prices. Delivery works perfectly. The special offers and Stewardship program keep me coming back. Winecom is very easy to use on iPhone as is the website. Reviews and additional info are easy to find and Winecom always remembers who you are.

Good app, except one thing

I noticed that no matter what you search for, even if there are no actual search results, Winecom always displays some results. I guess that’s to show alternative selections, but the confusing thing about it is that they don’t tell you that they didn’t find what you were searching for. You find yourself flipping through a list of selections that don’t seem to have anything to do with what you’re looking for because they don’t.

Super intuitive app but also amazing selection and great wine experts available when you have a question about a specific wine or vintage. Also handy when gift giving and you’re just not sure what to get. Love the StewardShip program for holiday and year round gift giving! Highly recommend.

Uncanny,how good this app is!

Frustrated after trying to buy wine on various other apps and online stores I found this one… So smooth, so wonderful,and the free shipping annual subscription is such a tremendous plus, no one else does that! This will be my only place to shop wine from now on! Oh, and another thing: the wine is getting delivered TOMORROW 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼‼️

Great app, my only complaint is...

...that’s it loads the pages slow. You click and wait... aaaaand then you see the new page. Otherwise it has just enough of features not to turn the experience into some gimmicky digital time-waster like so many apps inherently do.

Great wines and discounts

The only problem I have had is Federal Express shows up on its own schedule and requires me to sign. I live in an over age 55 community. I have to literally chase the guy down because I’m home and they do not wait!!!

Works fine, but...

Besides harvesting my data, I’m not sure yet how I benefit from ordering through Winecom rather than a website. The $30 off offer has, as I suspected, terms and conditions which you’re not warned of until you’ve risked another year of endless robocalls from Marriott hotels by giving out telephone number (by now if you don’t have an email account devoted expressly to spam it’s your fault).

Discount Not Honored

From a functionality perspective, Winecom was relatively easy to use. However the discount the website promised me for downloading and ordering via Winecom was never honored at checkout; so that is why I am only giving it three stars.

As a repeat customer of the website, I just felt a little misled and would have preferred saving the time by ordering through the website

Great resource, easy to operate

I’ve had Winecom for over a year, but just placed first order. The features of Winecom are quite useful, especially the reference of pricing and description when you take pic of wine label. It’s well thought out. I love the free-shipping membership!

My thoughts

Love my membership. The free shipping program has more than paid for itself.
I do feel like Winecom is a little difficult sometimes and slow. Also seems they are out of the most popular wines for long periods of time.
Overall their customer service and packaging is phenomenal!

I would rate this company as -10. They are wholly disorganized and unethical in their processing of products. I had cancelled my order with them after receiving no notice and no product needed within the delivery time noted at the time of ordering. It had been needed for a scheduled event, which has long since passed. Over a month after that cancellation was issued and several other emails had been sent they charged my credit card and again after several notices regarding cancelation still tried to deliver the product, Now they refuse to refund the money they took, saying they will be giving me a "credit" towards a future purchase! Clearly someone there also has a sense of humor.
