Crashes every time it starts

I was really excited about finding IPScanner. I even went so far as to purchase the ultra edition. But both versions will run for a few seconds during a scan, and then IPScanner quit completely every time it’s started. This is on my iPhone 13 Pro Max (256 gb) running iOS version 16.6.1. Very disappointing.

Not a great experience

Tried to run this tool but it was just far too clunky. Selecting options produces the swirnling beach ball of doom. Scans found only 3 of 11 devices on a particular home network segment. Settings are clunky. I was hoping that I could get a good feel for it on the free version and then upgrade to get the pro features but that is definitely not happening now. If this is what the core functionality is like then it would be way too frustrating to work with on a regular basis.

confusing to set up and much slower than lanscan

This is possibly awesome but I have no idea. It was initially giving me anything BUT my local intranet, I had to turn off the firewall to get my local devices.

It takes a long time to scan. Changing any options in settings causes a new scan immediately so is very annoying to change.

iCloud / Cross iDevices inCongruity

Unable to gat all alleged supported Apple devices to communicate. Having to update MAC, device names, iCons seperately on devices associated with the same Apple iD, same iNternet, same wee fee, same sign in, same app purchase owner / Apple iD purchaser / oRganizer.

Also, the iP Scanner quits at least once a day if not up to three to four times.

It works, but

It works, but it’s absolutely mind blowing how resource intensive it is, do not forget to pause it when you leave the window, because it will just keep scanning, and it will do it while using up more resources than a complex 3d cad model! This is one of the only things that will make my M1 heat up and hemorrhage battery.

Awesome app!

Every now and then I check my network and usually have to remember what was what. This takes the guessing out of it. One device wasn't showing up on the initial scans, manually added it and now it sees it every time. You won't be disappointed.

IP Scanner

Simple network scanner. Has all the simple tools I need to ID devices on my network. One price, no subscriptions. Would be nice if the settings window pane was resizable. The only reason I’m knocking one star off is due to the extreme small settings window pane. Other than that, good product for the price.

Solid Product

Very intuitive and great interface. I didn’t see an option for Trace Rout, WhoIS and other popular common tools. Overall, one of the better and well worth the cost.

Definately a keeper

5 Stars, well thought and functioning IP scanner in the Mac or Windows world. A pleasure to use. I begrudging paid for IPScanner, but would not be without it's functionality now that I have lived with it for a while.

Nice!

Really enjoy working with IPScanner. Can drill down better than most, and that’s just on the “free” version!

I shows me what I wanted to see

I needed the information on a important connection and it was there for me.

NICE TO SEE AND KNOW WHAT’S ON NETWORK

I downloaded the trial version just to see how IP SCANNER worked. It gave me a quick snapshot of most of my network, and presented it in a grid format which I found recognizable. I upgraded to the full version and saw I had a lot more devices than I realized on my home network…DOESN’T EVERYBODY?? I also found a couple of items I still trying to track down. But it is also nice to know that if someone else is ti=riding on my track I can ‘see them’. Very happy!

Great Network Tool

I am glad I added this to my network tool box. It works as advertised. It is well worth the price I paid for it. It also works on the iPad and iPhone. It help me identify my equipment on why Lan.

An exceptional tech support experience

I rarely write reviews, but in this case I have to call out tech support for their immediate response (on a Saturday evening no less) to a problem I found with a storm of DNS lookups. They were extremely responsive, and had a new version out within a couple of days. Bravo

Just what I needed!

It came time to map all the devices on my network and IP Scanner was easy to learn, did everything I needed and has become my new favorite app. It will get a lot of use. Thanks!

Great App for everything network

IPScanner is great for figuring out what is on your network and helping you set everything up. Interface is good and easy to learn. Highly recommend it.

Great scanner.

Quick and easy way to find out what devices are on you WiFi Network. I like the port scanning feature as well as ping. you do not have to download multiple apps for simple services

Takes mystery out of IP addresses

After a lot of searching online I found this for my iMac and my home network. IPScanner did exactly what I wanted: ID'd my online devices and allowed me to name and track them. Now I can easily spot any new suspicious activity. Super app!!

Extremely handy for home and SMB

Indispensable utility to assign meaningful names and icons to all those phones, laptops and smart home devices on your network. Especially good for devices that don’t automatically display much with the access point built-in software to audit and track what you’ve got.

Very helpful

Working with Raspberry Pi Pico W. This is a great help. Especially seeing what port are open and being able to assign you own Name to each divice.
