Exactly as the title states.
You must purchase, actually subscribe to their subscription to use any of the options. You might find one free template they offer but barely enough to get a taste of what ReelsMaker can do. Poorly design as asking for money before even test driving is ridiculous.

It has potential, but not ready to start charging customers a subscription. There is not enough content. $19.99 for a year is too expensive for what it offers. The free version watermarks your footage and you can’t change music or no variations of style of edit with the song.

Don’t waste your time. There are many free editors out there.

This starts out as a neat little app, but then fizzles out to a buggy, error message ridden waste of time and money. Support doesn’t respond to inquiries. Would like a refund.

Was fun at first. Very limited options and also the implementation is more complicated than i wanted.

Ultimately ReelsMaker did something to every one of my manually curated reels on IG and left them without sound. $30 and i am a nope. Bye.

CapCut gives us the ability to extract audio from a screen recording. I am a music producer that wants to make videos with music I have not released yet. Does your app allow us to input any audio we want? Or is it only what you have available?

ReelsMaker only allows you to post the content to three social media sites and the sound doesn’t sync. Worthless.

I have spent days and days trying to do several projects and I’ve had to switch the music and in the end, I just give up because I tried to export it to TikTok and it says that the song is not available. Completely useless waste of money

Much more of the historical comments are making me not trust to purchase ReelsMaker. App creators are failing to give buyers the needs. I’ve used other video editors and has worked seamlessly. I wanted to be able to use ReelsMaker with easy function and plenty of extra music but the reviews gave the truth. Until I hear from you folks with good news on the upgraded version. I’ll purchase in a heartbeat beat if I see a response from the creators and I will increase my star rating immediately from 1 to 5.

I want my money back. I couldn’t upload anything to my social media accounts. When you use the share option it redirects you to their instagram account.

I personally don’t like that the light of clips is only 1.5 to 2 seconds, wish it could be longer for better video clips, not enough tools on the dashboard, we should be able to control the length of the reels, also it doesn’t do Ella’s to your library only and with the music, like it shows on the ad,

ReelsMaker is really annoying to use. It has so much promise and I thought it was gonna be a lot like a better version of the SCRL reels but it’s so annoying! EVERY SINGLE time you make any kind of a change, it resets the whole timeline (every clip) not to mention it starts playing the music EVERY SINGLE time ANY edits are made! So users are constantly pausing the music, after every drag n drop & after every clip selection. It’s seriously annoying. It also doesn’t let you edit/change the duration each clip, can’t lengthen it by adding additional clips, can’t crop in & it takes a lot longer to make a short clip than it should because everything continuously resets with every change that you make. It’s such a bummer too because this is a really affordable app but it’s just too annoying to use.

Does not do anything at all and cant save to phone vids is wayyyyyy better!! This is useless I requested a refund right away!

Super glitchy. Half of these templates don’t even work. ReelsMaker just closes on its own after you select your photos. Can’t save anything to your albums, IG only. Can’t alter the length of reels. Not great

You can’t change or edit pictures you use so they don’t fit always. Very few options. There’s better out there!

It used to work and now every video kicks me out when I try to share. There are not enough templates nor are the templates using relevant music that isn’t months old.

Creators don’t keep up with trends and some of them aren’t even sync like they should’ve.. they say they make new one every 2 weeks.. but more than half the songs they have available they are not even trends…

Horrible and useless app. It was advertised to be an app that would tie your pictures to music. What was not clear, is that they have their own music that you have to choose from and then your picture. The library is limited, none which is my style and it’s hard to complete a project. Get your money refunded if you can.

ReelsMaker is super easy, but the song selection is horrible. My biggest complaint is that whenever you make a reel, the finished product comes out incredibly dim. It’s like you turned down the screen brightness to 50%. Completely takes away from the quality of video you load.

They only let you choose music from a few songs. Maybe max 40 choices including Frank Sinatra jingle bells (?) ….few songs that are interesting. And max 10 seconds.
This is not ReelsMaker for me. You want to be creative? Don’t choose this. Waste of money.

I can’t make a single video without at least two clips I try to upload turning black and being blacked out. I’ve followed all the instructions. It should be super easy but it’s frustrating. Not worth the $40 !!!!!!!! I spent for the yearly subscription. I thought it was going to be a super easy way to make reels and it’s a waste of money!!

Wanted to like ReelsMaker. Great music clips but each video clip resets to beginning even if you drag and save to a different starting point.

ReelsMaker is awful. It fails to download iCloud Photos from storage… terrible when trying to set up a deck of photos over time…

Can’t use your sound only what ever they provide with templates, rarely updating templates, it imports your video without sound 😀 basically needs an update

ReelsMaker almost has it. If I could add my own music or at least a library of music to choose from & not these basic chart songs that isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Also, maybe a bit more editing features for the user. Filters, effects, fine tuning & adjustments.

Paid for a year and then found it you can’t download or save a video other than posting directly to IG or TikTok.

While it is easy to use and is very intuitive, its limitations is that after paying, you can only use on Tik Tok and Instagram. You cannot save the reels with the song nor repost and reuse your reels on other platforms like facebook and linkedin. Also there are no latin american music si its not cross cultural. Also, i dont like that if I give an unfavorable review that you dont allow me ti tap a star to rate it.

A lot of the video spaces appear blank for no particular reason. ReelsMaker seems to freeze randomly. Lots of bugs. It would have been great if it worked as intended.

I'm not apposed to artist credit, but not a fan of being tied only posting these videos on just a few social media platforma. I want to have a local copy as well. Wish I could get my money back 👎🏻

I’m really loving ReelsMaker. Doing these edits by hand would take hours but ReelsMaker allows you to get stuff together in 20 min, even less for some of the lighter templates.

The biggest issue I face with ReelsMaker currently is that some of my footage in in landscape and I need the zoom it out a bit to get the right framing. Once I do this, it’s really hard to level and center the now zoomed out shot. If there is a way to do this please let me know but if not, my suggestion would be to add a button that will auto center and level the current selection that the viewer will see. Any thing that needs to be zoomed out will benefit from this feature.

The second suggestion I have os to allow user to get a few more seconds of songs if they choose. For example, the template for Panda (as of July 17 24) is amazing but ends about 3 seconds too abruptly for my taste. I’m sure this is a licensing thing but if after choosing a song I could then choose between the short and longer template that would be amazing. A longer template would only need another 2-3 selections to balance out the ending on most songs.

It needs more templates and variety. Personally I’m a photographer and could use a photography category and more than 10ish options per category. It also needs more variety in the number of photos and videos in each template, ones that range from 3-5 images/videos in a templates up to the 45 image/videos.
