The good: it has a variety of tools to learn from listening, writing, and reading. It also let's you set a pace to learn at, with a variety of good free options to start with before you can pay.
The bad: Hebrew has a bug after you have unlocked about 20-30 words where it begins freezing up in practice around the 7th word. You have to force close Hebrew after every 7th word or uninstall Hebrew . And if you uninstall Hebrew you lose all of your progress, there's no saving to their service or to iCloud. Also the speaking checks could be more fleshed out.

I absolutely love Hebrew, and it has greatly improved my this app. I find myself wasting less time on social media, and more time studying language.

That said, I have had problems with a recurring glitch, across two different versions of iOS. Sometimes, when imputing this app characters into the search tool, Hebrew will freeze and the screen will be stuck on the “Preparing…” message. Once this is done, Hebrew completely loses responsiveness, and must be quit and reopened. However, even after reopening, the search feature remains frozen. The other areas of Hebrew are accessible, but if you tap on the search feature, the “preparing” screen will again appear, and the original characters you entered will remain frozen in the search bar. It again loses responsiveness, and must again be quit and reopened.

Here’s the kiss of death: in order to fix the problem, you must completely uninstall and reinstall Hebrew . Then, you must reinstall your premium package and re-download everything. All of your highly personalized user data is lost, and you must rebuild your progress in Hebrew from square one. This is extremely inconvenient and time consuming, and has happened not one, not two, but three times!

Again, I love Hebrew itself, but I can’t stand this bug! Without the bug, it would be a hands-down 5 stars, however, I must reluctantly reward it 3 stars until fixed.

I want to give Hebrew 5 stars because it has improved my this app tremendously in just a short period of time. I use it almost every day. Unfortunately Hebrew has barely been functioning ever since I downloaded iOS 11. It crashes frequently and the search function does not work at all and causes the screen to freeze.

A suggestion for future updates is making an option to personalize the order of the queue and create custom lists of words. Other than that I love Hebrew and think it is the perfect tool to study language!

The free version of Hebrew would be amazing if I were learning this app from nothing for the first time. But outside of your basic “hello” “goodbye” “yes” “no” “excuse me” phrases it’s not helpful at all. Perhaps the paid version would be better but I personally wouldn’t invest in it based off how useless the free version has been. I imagine most people wanting to learn this app would already have a basic background in it so maybe include some additional vocab words such as fruits or colors, etc, in the free version.

First really enjoy Hebrew and it's nice performing drills to keep my vocabulary keen. They haven't updated Hebrew in 2 years and there's some very minor bugs. Otherwise the programming is overall fine.

If they do update Hebrew , my desire is for them to expand the vocabulary and add 2,000 more words & expressions. Some slang or profanity might be an amusing suggestion. Also some reading exercises, maybe some paragraphs or short stories in this app. Depending how much they expand Hebrew . I would be willing to spend the upgrade cost.

Honestly, this isn’t a bad free app. It’s search features and daily words are handy. I ended up buying the full version and I have definitely got better with words and phrases. Plus it has good playback features to see if you are saying words correctly.
But if you’re trying to learn it to speak fluently I would suggest taking a course. Because my girlfriend constantly corrects me for gender pronunciation. Now if you are like me and just starting out, or just want basic words to say on a visit, this is pretty good.

Hebrew is very good for anyone beginning to learn this app. I would recommend Hebrew to get started but not to learn the language. Through out the months I've been watching videos of native Israelis and other this app speakers. One thing that I've learned about Hebrew is that not every translation is quite accurate. If you want to learn the language then I'd personally recommend duolingo or rosetta stone. Although, I would have to say that if it wasn't for Hebrew I wouldn't be where I'm at now.

CouIdn't be happier! I purchased this awhile back, updated and still love it.. its a very easy to use app with no privacy issues or concerns.. very SAFE, even the voice playback is not kept permanently! The price was right, not too much & it lets you search through your word list. I have downloaded all the vocabulary & use it along with other learning resources. I have used it on iPhone and Samsung.. never had a problem, UNTIL RECENTLY.. but more likely it's Apple that keeps changing & losing MY PURCHASED CONTENT.. so I've had to re-download more than a few times to our devices..

Less than a month and I speak over 100 words/phrases. Easy to use and the words quicken in my spirit and come alive as I speak them out loud. Thank for creating Hebrew for it has bought me closer to my LORD and Savior JESUS CHRIST. As an African American I never dreamt that I could speak the language of my GOD, but you have made it possible. And I have been so encouraged by Hebrew that GOD has put it in my spirit to learn how to write in the this app language-- Hebrew is the start of a beautiful journey with GOD and you made it possible. Update: Problem fixed!
Hebrew used to be 5 stars for me however all my Nemo apps began acting buggy. The voice doesn’t read the English words at all and cuts out the beginning of the language that I’m trying to learn. I restarted my phone, updated my phone, deleted and reinstalled just one Nemo app, and the problem still persists. I’m not sure if the problem is Nemo’s fault or Apple’s but I’m really bummed to have to permanently delete my language apps by Nemo. If you guys figure out what’s wrong, let me know so I can use Hebrew again.

I thought I had given up on ever learning a second language but after seeing how quickly I learned the words and phrases that came with the free version. This simple/effective app makes learning feel so easy. I’ve already encouraged my siblings and parents to download it and now my daughters want it too because of how impressed they are with my this app! Very thankful I found Hebrew!

Hebrew is progressive. It is great for introducing new words slowly. I appreciate the vocalization and ability to control pronunciation speech. The categories are logical, and the words are useful. Common phrases are also included. There is a lot offered in the free version, and no ads to interrupt. I purchased the full version because it is such a great app. There are several different tools, and they are customizable. You can choose which words to review and how often. I like the options to adjust the player speed and pause length.

Although Hebrew does lock up and you have to close and reopen to get it started again I still feel it's the best app I've used and the one that has taught me the most. It is great because you can start learning the language without knowing the this app alphabet first. Plus it's the only app I have found that calls out words to me so I can use while driving. Excellent features!!

This this app learning program is THE BEST. It helps you with basic words and works closely with your pace and progress as you increase learning. You can work as fast and as slow as you want. Really, I love it! I am learning quickly. I would like for the AppMasters of this program to add a Translation/Dictionary portion so we can add words and phrases of our choice to learn even more deeper at our own pace. Thanks a bunch, you guys are GREAT!!!

Hebrew is very helpful for those who are self motivated to learn this app. I will add however that this alone will not be effective unless you add this to an arsenal of resources to learn from. I am a cutter self taught this app learner. I have been learning about one year but have made exposure to the language my main key followed by various resources of which Hebrew is helpful. The main use of Hebrew is for either introduction to new words as well as a refresher on words you have learned so as to not forget them.
What I am looking for now is an app that can introduce basic this app grammar as well.

I have been using the upgraded version for 3 weeks during the 6 hours of driving I have each week. I am amazed how quickly I am learning this app with Hebrew. It has multiple settings that helps to hear, say and recognize words and phrases. The repetition is timed well and there is a setting so that the English, this app and written word is available at the same time. Also, the selection of words and phrases is perfect for conversational use.

I have been an avid user of Hebrew over the past 2 years and I can happily say that my this app has TREMENDOUSLY improved using Hebrew simultaneously with Duolingo (for grammar rules).
One particularly useful section of Hebrew is the ability to record and compare your own accent to a native speaker. While it might seem ridiculous initially, I was shocked to discover that with each day my pronunciation got better and better. I highly recommend Hebrew, and if you enjoy the first 100 words/phrases, paying $10 to permanently unlock the rest is an absolute steal of a bargain.

I keep finding more things Hebrew can do. Recently discovered that it will play my pronunciation along side an accurate one for comparison. Very helpful! Being a much older adult, doing things on computers doesn't come easy but this beautifully designed app makes it pretty darn easy yet supplies you with plenty of material and ways learn it. I even like the little reminders that pop up once every few days to remind and encourage me to keep going.

So far I m highly impressed with how much I'm learning with just this little app. I contemplated getting Rosetta Stone but it's so expensive and I can only commit to a few min a day so I figured I'd give this a shot first and it is giving me everything I need for only $10! I'm sure at some point I'll have to upgrade if I want to really become fluent, but for now I just want to learn conversational this app and this definitely makes the cut.

I am crazy about Hebrew! It offers sooo many versatile options. It has been helping me so much with this app. It is the very first, and the most important app I recommend to my friends learning a language.

The only thing that needs to be fixed, and I have seen some others comment on this as well, is the search option. When I go to search for a new word (especially in this app Characters) it often will freeze. This is so scary because I have saved all of my information in Hebrew , and it would take forever to save it again if I have to re-download it.

Other than that- 5 incredible stars for sure!!! (BUT PLEASE FIX THAT PROBLEM... pleeeeaaase.) :)
