I absolutely love this app, and it has greatly improved my Hebrew. I find myself wasting less time on social media, and more time studying language.

That said, I have had problems with a recurring glitch, across two different versions of iOS. Sometimes, when imputing Hebrew characters into the search tool, the app will freeze and the screen will be stuck on the “Preparing…” message. Once this is done, the app completely loses responsiveness, and must be quit and reopened. However, even after reopening, the search feature remains frozen. The other areas of the app are accessible, but if you tap on the search feature, the “preparing” screen will again appear, and the original characters you entered will remain frozen in the search bar. It again loses responsiveness, and must again be quit and reopened.

Here’s the kiss of death: in order to fix the problem, you must completely uninstall and reinstall the app. Then, you must reinstall your premium package and re-download everything. All of your highly personalized user data is lost, and you must rebuild your progress in the app from square one. This is extremely inconvenient and time consuming, and has happened not one, not two, but three times!

Again, I love the app itself, but I can’t stand this bug! Without the bug, it would be a hands-down 5 stars, however, I must reluctantly reward it 3 stars until fixed.

The good: it has a variety of tools to learn from listening, writing, and reading. It also let's you set a pace to learn at, with a variety of good free options to start with before you can pay.
The bad: the app has a bug after you have unlocked about 20-30 words where it begins freezing up in practice around the 7th word. You have to force close the app after every 7th word or uninstall the app. And if you uninstall the app you lose all of your progress, there's no saving to their service or to iCloud. Also the speaking checks could be more fleshed out.

CouIdn't be happier! I purchased this awhile back, updated and still love it.. its a very easy to use app with no privacy issues or concerns.. very SAFE, even the voice playback is not kept permanently! The price was right, not too much & it lets you search through your word list. I have downloaded all the vocabulary & use it along with other learning resources. I have used it on iPhone and Samsung.. never had a problem, UNTIL RECENTLY.. but more likely it's Apple that keeps changing & losing MY PURCHASED CONTENT.. so I've had to re-download more than a few times to our devices..
