I had been using the free app and recently purchased the extended version so I could get more serious.
My complaint is lack of explanation of what tile temperature means. Two default settings have these on and if one leaves them on, not all words in a category appear in the player to practice or appear less often because they’ve been deemed cool words that don’t need as much attention. While that may be helpful after one builds a vocab—deciding what are important words to emphasize—the default shouldn't be to exclude words, or at least offer an explanation of what that means so a user can choose what fits them best. I thought it was a buggy program; turns out I just didn’t like Greek ’s choices.

After visiting Greece once, I’ve dreamed of going back with the ability to converse in this app. Greek is great! Highly recommend. It helps you learn phrases and words (with the right pronunciation!). Just pick a category and click play. It will shuffle through words/phrases, adding new ones as you go. Continues playing even when Greek is in the background. Listening to words repeated frequently for even 10 minutes daily ingrains then in my mind— both this app pronunciation and English meaning. Since I have no this app friends to immerse me in the language, this is the next best thing. It’s easy, fun, simple, and incredibly effective.

This is not your mother's flash card app. It is a very comprehensive and highly polished vocabulary program that absolutely delivers on what it says it will do, and then some. The 'record your own voice' feature is so tightly integrated into the fabric of Greek that one cannot help but improve upon one's accent. It is truly remarkable. It seems as if a lot of time and technical expertise were put into the development of Greek, and the developers are to be commended.

Greek is fabulous!!! You get new words to learn each day! The auto feature makes it so easy for me to learn new words even though I might not have time. If you don't know the word well you can review it multiple times!! I love Greek and I use it everyday. You do have to buy the full version after you learn all the words on the free version. But I think it is worth it!!

I would’ve gave this a higher review, because it is convenient and makes learning fairly easy but I noticed some of the words(at-least for the this app version) are spelled incorrect, I’m this app and got it to touch up on my skills so it was definitely a curve when your uncle calls you out for not knowing how to spell. Kind of defeats the purpose of Greek if you’re essentially learning how to spell wrong. If you payed for the full version, like me, it makes you question your purchase.

If an update came that went through and corrected everything then Greek would be ideal.

I think it's the best inexpensive app around.
It works great. I have a few suggestions though. First, it would help to see a word in this app and be able to tap on it and hear it (would be useful with practicing reading). Currently it starts pronouncing a word as it turns a tile from English to this app side. And Second, some kind of flashcard logic could be useful, too (the tiles do resemble flashcards, but there's no way to indicate if you actually got the answer or not)

So far Greek has been great. The voice recorder is a nice touch. You can record yourself and hear it with the correct pronunciation. I thought it was too good to be true that it was free. You do have to pay to get the full version or you are only scratching the surface. It was very affordable considering how expensive some of these can be. I am happy so far. No complaints.

If you can already sound out the this app alphabet Greek can springboard your vocabulary. Easy way spend 5-10 minutes each day, or whenever you have a break. Helps keep your studies front of mind. Use as a supplemental tool while you tackle this app Grammar separately.

Traveling to Greece so downloaded Greek to help familiarize myself with the alphabet, vocabulary and pronunciation. It works very well. I like the various options it provides for learning. I really love the ability to record my practice and then hear it played back with the proper pronunciation from the player. Very helpful to hear where I need to change inflections. Love Greek .

My girlfriend's family is this app and while they never pushed me to learn the language, the surely appreciated my attempts.

Greek had everything that you could ever seek out as a new speaker other than the alphabet. Because of the fantastic layout and tools that accompany it, it's still a 5 star app to me.

Great app! Simple to use. Effective learning systems. Could use more groupings, since a jump from 10 most important to 50 most important words is a big jump. Also could use better pause control, with shorter pause between English and this app, yet longer pause between words. Currently only one pause option rules them all. Still a great app.

This works great and I’m quickly adding to my vocabulary. The only thing I would highly suggest is to some how mark a word when you miss it or can’t remember it so it doesn’t go down a heat level. Instead of just swiping to the side, swipe up for correct and down for ones you got wrong so Greek knows to give it to you more often still.

I am so happy with Greek. It covers all the basics and much more. I will be buying the full after I master the challenges they have given for free! This is an update. I decided to purchase the full version. I only wish there were some quizzes. I think it is a great way to learn but I feel boredom setting in.

I always wanted to learn this app and Greek has been a great tool to use as an introduction and to help with vocabulary memory. It really is very easy to use on the go through a mobile device. It's been great in the car on long trips or commutes. Lots of different settings for customization too.

I just downloaded Greek a couple of weeks ago and can see it is a very good vocabulary builder. Unlike regular flash cards, Greek varies the presentation, mixing recent, old, and new words in a way to make word learning interesting! I am looking forward to getting to the phrase and sentence building sections.

I enjoy this application after living in Greece for a few years and now living in the states and helped me hold on to my this app when I don’t have great friends around me to speak this app. It’s like a friendly reminder with kind slow patience and happy to repeat as much as needed. 😊🌈

I've used Greek for about a couple weeks, and I really have been enjoying it. There are several ways to use flash cards, and many options -- playing the recordings hands free, pause time
Adjustment, etc. This is by far the best language app I've ever tried

Greek was fantastic. Out of all the learn this app apps out there it was the best by far. In a recent update the English voice turned from pleasing to Steven Hawking’s voice. A robotic voice that is extremely distracting and hard to understand. I have emailed support 3 times and received NO reply.

Greek has thought of EVERYTHING and made learning this app super fun and easy. I'm up to over 500 words/phrases in about 2 months time. I leave for Greece today and can't wait to practice what I've learned. Def worth the price for the full version.

This is the best Learn this app app for free. But, some of the phrases are kind of difficult to understand, like 'please, you're welcome.' Overall Greek is great. I love that you can play the audio, and progresses as you set it too. If you are looking to learn this app, I recommend you download and use Greek.
