CardScanner doesn’t link to Zoho crm perfectly. It links to Zoho CRM terribly. It doesn’t upload the card you scanned to ZC, creates company name as an account,
When Zoho crm accounts are companies you do business with, not anyone you just met.
Doesn’t allow you to link yourCRM fields to the scanner. Amazing how backwards Zoho teams work and how disjointed their inter-team communications are. Zoho CRM clearly understands that you need fields in your leads and contacts that match the way you do business. Yet somehow, this app team thinks you ought to use whatever field they provide, which most times, since they are in India, doesn’t work with the way Americans do business, or make any sense at all.
Using card scanner takes forever bc you have to scan and fix each card one at a time.

Here’s what needs to improve:
1. MASS SCAN CARDS, then pull up screen to fix in a list view
2. Connect to CRM custom fields already set up in CRM. Allow this to be done in settings
3. Allow mass updates of all fields just like in crm
4. Don’t automatically upload to CRM so unclean data isn’t uploaded bf cleaning is done. Instead, in list view page, place link to upload to CRM
5. Improve OCR recognition to reduce necessary cleaning

This has serious scanning problems. About one-third of cards scanned end up scanned upside down, even when the cards is right side up, and so the fields don’t automatically populate. When I try to cancel and rescan, it still scans upside down. Occasionally CardScanner automatically flips the card right side up after a second or two, but the fields don’t populate.

There is no ability to tell CardScanner to flip the scan right side up and have it try again to populate the fields. This seems like an obvious feature, and a big miss.

These are serious scanning errors. I can’t believe Zoho would release such a poor product that barely works. I’ve got to find something else that don’t drive me crazy.

Every time I haves tried to use this it either doesn’t work, or says “loading contact details” for several minutes then crashes. Using on iPhone 8 Plus. I do not recommend CardScanner.

Previous versions used to work quote well, but after updating to the latest version, the scanner gets stuck and I get a message “Looking for card edges”... it never finds the edges, even in excellent conditions where other scanning apps work perfectly. I managed to get one card scanned recently, after mutiple attempts, and it didn’t synch with Zoho, although all conditions to synch were fulfilled. ZOHO: get your act together, or remove CardScanner from CardScanner Store.

I use CardScanner to update ZOHO and Google contacts. The time it saves me entering the information into Soho directly as minimal. CardScanner hard closes multiple times after uploading the picture of a business card or screenshot of a contact from another app. The time I spend re-manually typing the information in field step were not scanned correctly. The first time, I’m better off to load the information direct into each app. CardScanner has more bugs that need addressed immediately.

I wish CardScanner worked well. The main problems are:
- has difficulty scanning well even in good light
- does poor job of reading text correctly
- CardScanner crashes frequently (and doesn’t auto save so u have to enter the lead all over again)

I recall changing which of my two Zoho CRM acts card scanner writes to, but now I cannot find any means to do so. I don’t work with the same two companies as I did several months ago. So any cards scanned now, still go into other account that I don’t use. Several emails to soho about this issue got me no response. There is no setting in mobile app to change Zoho CRM destination file, or to change from using one if my two email identities to the one relevant to my desired Zoho CRM Acct.
I would give a 5 stars if this issue gets resolved. Support for card scanner seems missing.

Has errors on nearly every business card scan that I need to manually fix. Looking for another option.

Does not link the correct info 100% of the time, but it's convenient!

Thanks for this. It is simple but a good start. I would suggest adding a 'copied text' feature. Also found an issue where the photos are inaccessible after I click access photos. Need to be able to unlock access. Please add new features we ask for. Thanks again.

The best thing about CardScanner is that it automatically puts data into my phone contact file. And it uploads to a CRM I don't use. I wish it read cards more accurately but, of all the apps I've used, I'm happiest and less annoyed with this one!

Zoho integration works I think like most things user error is the issue with most complaints. You need to customize your fields. Not just click click click

I was searching for a business card scanner app.. I decided to google to see if Zoho had a business card scanner app since this is my companies CRM and I found it, and it is great!

For $0.99, it's a great card scanner! It integrates easily into my Zoho CRM. I just got back from a trade show with many new contacts to add - this will save me a lot of time.

Overall it can add the contact to many different locations and is extremely efficient, fast, and accurate for the most part. Very impressed. Wasn’t expecting it to be high functioning, and it over-delivered.

I was super skeptical at first but when I started to use it I was pleased to see the result. It is more accurate than any of the business card scanner apps I’ve tried(only one paid for). Additionally this one was able to very easily make zoho contacts out of the business cards which is a huge bonus. Good job

Work as promised. Sometimes picks up handwriting on a card but on the whole saves ample time.

I have used CardScanner for about 3yrs intermittent ly now for none business purposes. Had very little problems with it that a phone reset didn't fix. So far I have scanned a few dozen business cards into my contacts on 2 different iPhones without problems, which says alot considering how Apple loves to interfere with things they can't directly OVER Profit from themselves! Hope you guys keep this FREE & SIMPLE so we can continue seeking you out. Thank You!

I receive hundreds of business cards from trade shows and events. I use CardScanner to scan my business contacts and it links perfectly to my Zoho CRM. Of course, at times it may mis-read a card, but I have found CardScanner to be far superior to that of Neat, WorldCard, and some other products that I have used - not to mention it's kind of a one-stop-shop. I do wish there were a little bit more customization options available, but for now, I am completely satisfied!

I have used a number of card scanner applications and this has proven to be the best. There are always business cards that, in an attempt to be artsy and stand out, have formats that mess with CardScanner but outside of those it does great.

The integration with ZOHO is wonderful.
