Before you make a subscription purchase (which you HAVE to make if you want to use the actual tanning/darkening/skin tone feature), SkinTanner automatically selects any skin for you (via one-touch). And you think, wow, this is great & easy). As soon as you make a purchase, that feature disappears and you have to manually select where the skin is, which is impossible to do accurately without going even a little bit outside the lines. And if you mess up, there’s no “undo” feature to reverse what you just did. You either have to start all over again (which you also can’t do by just pressing a “home” or “start over” button, but you have to exit SkinTanner and reopen it, reload the picture, and literally start from scratch again), or you have to use the “eraser” which functions in the same messy way as the skin selector. So they bait you with false features and then as soon as you make a purchase, they take them away and you’re left with a crude one-star version of SkinTanner . What a rip-off.

Don’t buy SkinTanner, im telling you! I wish I can pick 0 stars for SkinTanner, but unfortunately I can’t. It doesn’t work AT ALL. It’s nothing like it shows in the video. Picsart is free & it does such a good and better job than this stupid app.

I can’t delete SkinTanner ! Now i’m stuck w this dumb thing! I have no storage for it too. HELP ME!

👎👎👎👎 not worth the money compared to other apps on the market. this apps allure in the first place was that it was free.

I just paid for SkinTanner and every time i try to save my photo my entire phone crashes and restarts.

Tried the different skin tones and it doesn’t apply it to the saved picture no matter what I do... waste of time

It worked great for the simple edits I needed, now you can’t unless you PAY. Deleting SkinTanner now.

SkinTanner is disappointing. Can better results with Lightroom. SkinTanner literally just darkens the blacks and shadows and defines things more. There is no options as well. Poorly designed app. Waste of 99 cents!

Didn’t work. SkinTanner has one tone and one shade which makes no sense considering everyone comes from all walks of life. Waste of money, demanding a refund. Such false advertisement.

I paid for SkinTanner when I purchased it and now I have to pay a subscription to use all the features - yikes

I wanted to darken my legs a bit in a photoshoot we did. I laughed out loud on the results. So I decided to give it another shot with other photos throughout my phone. And all just looked weird! I definitely can’t. It’s like the people who use whiter tighter brighter. Something is off.

Paid for SkinTanner only to discover it included only one very dark skin tan color. Other colors available charge again and there was no way to see a preview prior to paying (again). Uninstalling

You have to pay to get the tan filter on your photos, which is false advertising because that is not stated on SkinTanner itself. You can’t advertise a free product and expect working people to pay for it.

i used to like SkinTanner but now i cant even use it… why is it trying to charge me now all of sudden it used to be free to use! thats why i downloaded it in the first place… they should not be charging people who already had SkinTanner before smh

I PAID for SkinTanner and its services. I understand if you want to add on additional features and charge a monthly subscription fee for those, but you can’t justify taking away what your users have already paid for. This ticks me off on another level.

In the demo video it appears that SkinTanner can automatically select skin areas on a photo. It does not. You have to “paint” on the photo using your finger. There’s no way to accurately capture the edges of a face or body. The paint runs over edges and makes the photo look horrible. There are dozens of free apps that have better skin tone controls. SkinTanner is a waste of money.

Can’t do anything on SkinTanner unless you pay, even and especially its main person: to provide a tan. And the tan is literally just you brushing your finger over your picture, auto select doesn’t even work properly, you can do this and much more for free on Airbrush. Was trying to find something that would be less work than that, but this is not it.

Doesn’t let you save your photo after editing!!! Waste of money

SkinTanner is amazing for someone like me who always wants a flawless tan in my pictures however - when i save my edits the quality of the photo changes dramatically. there are noticeable lines going up and down on the whole picture now :( hoping this will be fixed and i can continue with it !

I’ve used SkinTanner for years and have absolutely loved it. However I’m genuinely sad and annoyed about the fact that I can no longer use it due to it going from free to use (besides the money spent when I purchased SkinTanner ) to needing a monthly subscription to use the whole point of SkinTanner - the tanning feature! It’s just upsetting and overall irritating that I can no longer use SkinTanner I once loved and used for every picture due to this :( Oh well though.
