I purchased Telepromptr to find out that it only works in landscape mode on my tablet. I have a teleprompter that only works in portrait mode. I tried to access the website to see if there were instructions on how to change this and the website is down. Sent an email through the "help" function, no reply. Sent a tweet, and not a word.

Uninstalling and going to find an app that will work for my needs.

Even though the latest update promises a fix for Bluetooth control, it still doesn't work. I am typing this review on the Bluetooth keyboard I want to use with Telepromptr .
Better yet, make the Apple Watch work as a remote...
Anyhow, Telepromptr won't connect to a BT keyboard, which would be a nice feature, if it worked.
Developer says it works, but it doesn't. The link for app support doesn't work, either. Disappointment continues. Was a two-star, but now it's just one, because of dead support link and the fact that, when attempting to use the keyboard, I get an error message.

I tried the free version and liked it so I paid to upgrade. Then I found out that my IPad, an older model, is not compatible with the latest Drop Box app, so I couldn't import scripts - which was the entire reason I upgraded. The other option was to import via email with a txt file. That meant converting my document to plain text, emailing it to my IPad and opening with TelePrompter. Did all of that, but when I opened the document on TelePrompter, it was blank! I approached the developer for a refund but he basically said, "too bad." Wow.

Update: I received an email from the developer with a link to contact them. Guess what? It doesn't go anywhere! It opens to a random page for purchasing other services. No way to contact them. Wow again!

When it says that you can download voice teleprompter for free after buying this one, you schools honor your word, instead, it sends me to the lite version of the voice teleprompter... which is not what you are advertising, and to top it all, be honest of what comes originally and what you can and cannot do, wishing I didn’t’t delete the teleprompter I had before, which I can’t get anymore, this is definitely not an honest company, beware!

I needed this program to work today and it totally sucked. I spent the entire day trying to load two verses of the song onto any format to upload it and it failed every single time. I had to download over five apps to try and make that happen. You came highly recommended by somebody I know, but this is been a complete and utter failure the fact that I can’t copy and paste from From Google drive into dropbox or paper or anything to just simply Get lyrics on to Telepromptr Is infuriating. Bad bad programmers...Tell me exactly how this is supposed to be simple and easy and always ready to work because I have every faith this morning and it’s after midnight And I’m stressed out because I couldn’t get done what I needed to.

I used this teleprompter many times for recording. Right now I’m going to have to find something else unless they fix this. It worked great. But I wanted to upgrade my iPad. Now the Bluetooth connectivity feature does not work. I can’t pause/start/stop with my keyboard anymore because Telepromptr refuses to connect to my keyboard for that feature. I can type the script from my keyboard, so it’s not a connectivity issue. Something’s broke and needs to be resolved

I gave a 1 Star but if I could I would have given a 0. Telepromptr is horrible. They do not tell you that the screen only stays horizontal and will not flip vertically which is how my TelePrompTer is. Not sure how you have an app that only caters to one design style of Teleprompter. Also the script formats they allow is outdated I mean really only txt. What about word, and pdf. Also it won’t allow me to even upload scripts from my phone only through Dropbox. When I tried to contact Telepromptr developer there was no one to contact. Worst App Ever!!! I want my money back will be calling my back First thing Monday to get it back.

Importing scripts is a crappy process. If you don't use the iOS mail client, you can't use email to open them in Telepromptr ... they open as just text files. If you import from Dropbox, it gives the scripts different names, not respecting the name that you have for the file... if you have a lot of scripts, that's a royal pain.

Crappy process to have one app then sell a different one to get mirroring... in-app purchase maybe? Then once you get that, it promotes yet another app that replaces this one that will start with your voice. No thanks...

Too many design flaws for the purchase price. "Scroll speed" will not save per individual script. Individual scripts cannot be reconfigured into a different order after saving to home screen. Various other quirks. Feels like someone rushed to throw something together and get it out on the market. Just not well thought out. Would love a refund!

This has many speeds. But the speed I really need 95% of the time is somewhere between speed 12 and speed 13. Just about every time, speed 12 is too slow for my talent, and speed 13 is too fast. Why there's a speed 25 is one of life's eternal mysteries. I think I heard that guy on a FedEx commercial back in the '80s. Below 12 is perfect for people high on cough syrup.

What I really need are 10 speeds between 12 and 13.

Also, why can't it ever remember that I need it in mirror mode EVERY TIME? Having to go back and reset it that way EVERY SINGLE TIME will drive me to cough syrup addiction. At least that would make me qualified to use a setting below 12.

The software allows for the ability to customize the speed of the text, but there is no way to save this either globally or locally within the script. You have to reset the speed every time.

Another issue that needs to be addressed, if you have enough scripts you cannot see the title when you enter it for new scripts Seeing what you’re typing is only a feature for the first six scripts.

If these two issues were addressed, I would be much happier with this software.

Is there anyway to get a countdown added before scrolling begins? I’ve had it before but not sure if it was a different app or a different version of this particular app. It’s very helpful for people I film who never get in front of a camera. It’s very helpful.

Telepromptr is great to use for some purposes, but despite several updates and attempts by the developers, the Bluetooth keyboard connectivity issues persist on. That makes it quite difficult to do longer deliveries. With nobody there to scroll for you, the main speaker, the teleprompter can either get ahead of you or lag behind you pretty easily. Please fix this bug!

I’ve endured Telepromptr for about a year. It was better than having to memorize my scripts.

I really needed the Bluetooth keyboard function to work. Two emails to support and it still doesn’t work. I went with Teleprompter Premium and it does EVERYTHING I need it to do. Not only can you start and stop the scrolling from the keyboard, there’s a host of other features that can be done without you having to move from the keyboard.

Pay the extra few dollars if you can and get a product that is fully featured and looks to have great support.

I don’t Understand how this is supposed to work. Who can read at 25 speed and when I try to reduce it I can read at 12 but that is kind of slow then I move it up to 13 and it jumps quite a bit so that it I have a hard time keeping up. I have thought that maybe I could use double line spacing or something like that but it doesn’t allow any formatting in this way that I can tell. All you can do is import a text file which is very limited.

Whether using it tethered to a formal teleprompter, or just attaching my iPad to a stand and running it above the camera lens… Telepromptr has worked just fine. I can adjust the speed and font size to the needs of the client and edit the script on the fly. Using it as a stand alone unit, it saves me having to lug a heavy teleprompter setup along with all my other gear. The clients love that they don’t have to memorize what they want to say, and they adapt quickly to using it. What more can you ask for at this price point?

Overall this is a good app, but paying for the pro version I would expect to get support for any issues. I recently added song lyrics, as I use this for our band to have words to follow in case we have a brain freeze…when I completed the adding of the song lyrics, it automatically took six of my previous songs and renamed them. I went back and re-typed the titles, but when I added yet another song, it renamed six previous songs again. I can’t go to the website for support because my browser says it is not a trusted site. I desperately need this bug resolved.

Great app. Does what it says on the tin and does it well. Only gripe is if trying to use as a song lyric prompter, there’s no way to manage libraries and create playlists/setlists. Yes, scripts can be organized in folders, but there is no master list/library. Scripts must be removed from one folder and placed in another. The devs should look at how ForScore handles its library/setlist organization for an example of a truly useful application for live performance. Keep up the good work!

None of the TelePrompTer apps are perfect but this gets the job done. Definitely a fair price compared to others that claim voice tracking features which only work 50% of the time.

Some improvements I see Telepromptr needs are: it didn’t read the txt files I imported so I had to copy and paste from an email, no ability to jump to beginning of script with a button rather than having to scroll, a wider “edit script” window, global speed controls, and titling the scripts didn’t stick... it kept defaulting to some random automatic naming convention.

This has worked pretty well for me, though I hate when developers hold you hostage to "rate" their app and don't give you a choice. I haven't needed anything extensive, so this has worked well for small projects.

Great app. I didn’t give it 5 stars because of the editing unfriendliness. When I am reading my text and practicing, sometimes i found that i need to make a correction or need to add something. I press editing, but it doesn’t take me to the place I am at, so i have to scroll down to find the place I want to edit. If you can figure this out it would a solid 5 stars

I use Telepromptr when reading content for my videos. A God Sended App!
I was a little upset because I could not activate the speech recorder to Telepromptor function but later found out to....Tap the Micrphone icon in the Textbox and start talking and "Wham!" Just like that it automatically transcribes onto the Telepromptor!
Great Product and I am amazed!

I started using the original Teleprompter app for iOS to record TikTok videos. I was shocked it offered so much for free and made my content creation feel more professional.

From the creator of THAT app comes the improved, Telempromptr. Smooth, easy to use, every feature you could want…just because the creator of it really really cares and wants to make good stuff! Very admirable and appreciated.

Telepromptr is great. I love how it is easy to use, very basic settings. Helped me record my presentations for school. I often forget my lines and get stage fright while recording school presentations and Telepromptr was a total life saver. I don’t need to memorize anything with Telepromptr and while recording I do not look like I’m reading my script.

As a songwriter with a a day job and gigs with covers its great to have this set up on my ipad i can add songs to my set list faster having a teleprompter ready in case i need the words for songs I haven’t memorized perfectly yet. Easy to import lyrics and the ability to set the timing on how fast it scrolls. It’s an invaluable tool for performing musicians

I don’t do this a lot but I was asked to make 90 second video. I downloaded Teleprompter and was able to figure it out pretty quickly. Within an hour I had created a script, practiced it a couple of times and then created a really nice video. I highly recommend it, especially for novices. It was easy to use and created great results

I needed a way to present a pitch over a Zoom call. I had 2 minutes and wanted to sound natural but also did not want to go over time. I found this app at the last minute, learned it super fast, and decided to use it for my pitch. It was flawless. I could set the speed so I sounded natural but stayed in my time limit. I figured out how to make the screen transparent so I could see my audience while speaking. this app is a gift. Do not hesitate to download and use Telepromptr.

I have been using Telepromptr for a little while but it is great to use it. Initially you have to practice to make it work the way you wanted. I am now excited to use the Pro, an upgraded version of this help. I would definitely suggest and recommend Telepromptr and especially while it is free of charge. All the best wishes

I downloaded Telepromptr because the developer offered a lifetime Pro version, and so far it is great. I would like to see it work with more bluetooth remotes ( like the one that comes with the Neewer X1 teleprompter.) It would also be great if you could have more space on each side of the text for smaller teleprompter glass.

All in all, the only thing that could set Telepromptr over the top would be voice control like Prompt Smart Pro.

Been using it to create planned out content for social media for my business. Many people have commented about the quality of my videos and value and I directly thank Telepromptr for giving me the tools to plan, write out and then create great content quickly. Otherwise I’d be stumbling on my words and taking 100x more time to make a video. Telepromptr is super easy to use and always works great.

I have used both the Free version and then converted to the paid version. It has proven to be a powerful tool in my production arsenal and have yet to have any issues or complaints. I have it set up on both a regular IPad and my IPad Pro and I’m able to utilize it effectively on a stand in any shoot a TelePrompTer is needed. Two thumbs up!

Works like a charm. The new update is beautiful. One suggestion: ability to control from Apple Watch. Not sure how hard adding that functionality would be in a future update, but I think it would be a game changer.

I started a podcast for my employer and needed to read prepared scripts and Telepromptr was a great solution. I was able to learn how to use it quickly and I loved how I could pause the prompter easily or slow down the flow with a quick fluid adjustment.

Getting this was the best decision I’ve made in helping my candidates get their conversation to the public. This this app App was the best one after researching many others. Easy to use and program to support your message. The only bad thing I have to say is why didn’t I find Telepromptr before. Thank you.

This is fantastic, I have been using this to create micro lessons for common issues. My students face when dealing with new platforms. This helps me too stay on script and target the message. I am trying to deliver. I am going to use this when I am recording my lectures for my online classes as well.

there’s no need to look any further! Here’s Telepromptr you’re looking for. You can adjust your speed and now pause which is especially helpful for me because I do sometimes go off script. The placement of the text is perfect too for better eye contact with your viewers. And you can now import script documents directly into the Teleprompter.
