I hate to give bad ratings, but...I paid around $50 (yes!) to be able to access on pc and Mac and iOS. I have stuck with it because starting over would be a drag. But really...the functionality of this app is awful. You’re trying to add “notes” and the box won’t open (it keeps dropping down where you can’t get to it). If you don’t fill a sufficient # of boxes on a new entry it won’t let you save it. If you have a problem with accessing from another device or moving to a new device you end up with back and forth emails that go something like this “Hi. We love you. Update all of your devices and assemble them all in the same location and then email us back.” They just keep kicking the can back to you (no phone support). It’s unbelievably annoying. I just don’t even bother anymore. I just open and start a new password and put everything in the notes section (when I can get it to work-if you save and re-open it usually works the second time). And if you select the option to use your fingertip to open, it shows up on the screen and you have to tap that and THEN hit the home button. You can’t just go right to it. And sometimes it just randomly requires you to enter the actual password. I actually have my last two iPhones in a drawer because I’m terrified my passwords didn’t all move to the new device and I’ll be in trouble. Seriously, it shows I have like 314 passwords on the iPad version of the app and 322 in the iPhone version. Really?!

The latest update removed the iOS share sheet functionality, replacing it with the new Safari extension which is only available to subscribers that store their sensitive information on 1Password servers. This update leaves users who prefer to control their own data through local vaults in the dust. I now have to painfully switch back and forth from Safari and 1Password to copy and paste my information each and every time I enter my address and credit card information. This is just the latest nail in the coffin for my relationship of 1Password. I chose them originally many years ago because they were not asking me to trust them with my information on their servers. Now they are forcing all users to subscribe and store all data on their servers. I already new I was going to move on due to this. Unfortunately I will now have to be moving on much sooner than I anticipated. I would have expected an update that removes functionality to make users aware of this fact in the update notes so an informed decision could be made as to update or not. But AgileBits is simply not the same company it once was, especially since it started taking venture capital funds. It’s sad, but such is the course for many companies. Time to move on to another software provider that empowers users to store and sync their data in the way that they wish. So long.

I’ve had standaluntil the one versions for years without issue on my iPhone, my iPad and my iMac. Now I go to my iMac and the old standalone isn’t working, suggests I upgrade the a subscription, 1Password 7.
So I attempt the update and here it is, have no idea how to use, has to have my son go through it with me which was very confusing. Finally I was in and all my data migrated over successfully. I was happy until the next day when I couldn’t login to 1Password.
Giving up I contacted TECH support, hours later I get an email giving me all kinds of confusing suggestions, none of which worked. Throughout the day I contacted TECH support and no response. So I deleted 1Password 7 to reinstall but wait I can’t use the same email address so used another one got through the whole process only this time it asked for a Credit card, okay I entered it. Then it downloads an Emergency Kit, so this what I was reading about without a clue of what it is, now I know. I create a new master password, write it down on the Emergency sheet. Now it looks like I’m making headway but no, I can’t sign in... The login page is for the original install of 1Password 7. Dead in my tracks, I contact TECH support once again, no ones home. I give 1Password a zero unfortunately I can’t because you feel you are at least worth 1 star, very confusing and no TECH support.
