But I've already paid full price for the pro version of both ipad and the iphone apps... And I feel pretty cheated right about now with the release of a single app. Hell, I've only had them both about a month now... Not very happy about this at all.

After having the chance to fully look into the new version, on my ipad pro, I can honestly say that I'm furious. You've reduced the maximum resolution by HALF, and I can't for the life of me see how you thought a bunch of amorphous blobs of color were going to replace crisp, clear, well-defined fractals without anyone noticing. It's painfully obvious that the quality is squarely half of that in the version you're replacing. At this point, I wish I had not checked Fra out this morning, because I felt far less taken advantage of before when there was only the fact that I paid twice for what was now going to be one product. Now, I'm seeing that not only did I get ripped off, but taken for a ride as well, with you not only delivering less in quantity but also tremendously less in quality. This was a poorly considered decision on your part and one that in the end benefits only you, to the detriment of your once happy customers, who are now just highly offended at best. A refund and heartfelt apology are most definitely in order, and would be at the very least, a promising start towards correcting this blunder. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️😒

I see the developers still haven’t added a GIF option. I emailed them over a year ago about adding a GIF option in the video section, I guess my email fell on deaf ears. What a shame because that would take Fra to another level. Dropping my rating down to 3 stars.

Was fun while it lasted rip F4AX used to love staring into the mandlebot but no your not getting my money to fuel your greed. You don’t give something away for free than take it back that’s just bad business. Unless you sell drugs.

Amazing app! I would spend hours playing around and creating a lot of rad art with Frax! I really like the capability to record videos but the issue I have is that it’s very poor quality when playing the videos back. I hope this gets resolved!

I was very upset after the update because the save rez was lower than pro. But the developer wrote me and told me how to save as a larger rez. I still wish I could set my own default and my own default rendering as I am on a iPad Pro 2020 version. But this will work. I am including the instructions for those who may be as confused as I was.

"pressing and holding down on the ’Save Image’ button on the ’Share’ panel. This should give you a menu of size options, including “Custom” (if you’ve upgraded to Pro) which allows up to 8192x8192." .... It did!

New iPhones with dynamic island had made it impossible to access the top menu. Now fixed in today’s update!! Thank you!

I’ve been playing with fractal-generator/visualizer apps on multiple platforms for literally decades. This is the best ever. Still, though, Hoping for iPhone X full screen support.

Not many apps stay installed on my phone. But this one is a must. Not only is it great for creating some cool art, but also my go to stress reliever. I can get lost in it for hours. Highly recommend.

My old program is no longer compatible with Windows. I’m in progress to transition to Apple, starting with the phone (T-Mobile and Verizon make it easy). Frax was highly recommended, so I figured I’d try it out. I wish I could have made this switch sooner, I’m completely blown away with the capabilities in this program! Now the only limit is my old eyes… Can I transfer my Pro account to the iPad I’ll be getting?

Fra is an incredible technical accomplishment that stands even today, years after its release. Back when it came out even the best fractal explorers required you to wait for each image to render, and real-time exploration wasn’t even a hope. It’s a work of mathematical and coding wizardry to have let us do this. But SubBlue was always pushing the edge in that realm! Today Fra lets me easily explain to people what fractals are and to let them appreciate them in dazzling beauty as well as their mathematical cool.

Everything i was looking for a fractal app to be like, and much much more. So entertaining to look at, pass time and make beautiful unique creations. Highly recommend it to anyone. Amazing.

I do wish however I could have a rainbow setting on color where it switches colors all over without me needing to press anything (I realize i can make the colors swirl, but its basically the same certain colors until i change the scheme with the color wheel thing)

I’m not the type that usually writes reviews, but I have to say that Fra is beyond compare. I stumbled on it while looking for a music visualization app to cast to my TV (which I only found complete garbage). The quality of the textures is a true test and looks amazing on a Retina display. Fra isn’t technically a “game” but so far I’ve spent many hours just playing with the gorgeous fractals. There’s a free version of Fra as well but as soon as I saw the stunning fractals, I paid for the the pro version. Seriously this is probably one of the best apps I’ve ever seen. Now I’m going to dig into the math behind the beautiful visuals of these fractals. Just buy Fra.

PS. With the pro version you can record videos, I have been converting them to “Live Photos” and using them as wallpapers.

Fra sets itself apart by the attention to detail from the developers. Even without the Pro upgrade, you would never run out of different looks and art to create. But the pro adds a lot of extra features so that you can create some very unique looking designs

I’m starting to figure out how to get the images I want, but I don’t stop there. I’ve been importing the images into Procreate, combing them and/or using them as background for other images. For those of us who want complex images without having to learn the math, this is it.

Amazing app and hours of fun, but I really need the high-res images. I try to click the button to buy more credits on iPad Pro M2 and nothing happens. A little loading icon appears for a blink of an eye and goes away. Support very fast response, working on fix right away and added credits. Thanks
