MediaFire is completely broken. You can’t download literally any of your own files from MediaFire . The also horrible news is you can’t do it from the website either. It says download failed, please try again later and it’s said this for weeks. I emailed them almost two weeks ago and no response. ... I only have videos on MediaFire so I can't speak for photos, games, documents, or music. I have too many photo and video apps and wanted to condense them to one app but I am not able get my videos from this app to download back to my phone. Show more o that you can view your videos on this app. This is BS, they are my videos and I should be able to get them back on my phone and not just the link to view them on their app! So I have personal videos of my children and my pets that I can't get back now and I deeply regret using MediaFire to store them there. I wrote to the company to see if there was any way for me to get my videos to upload back to my phone and I heard nothing back from them. Crap app, crap customer service!

You can upload your files to it by the folder, but download only one at a time. Once they have your files, they hold them for ransom—either you spend hours downloading them back piecemeal, or you pay to upgrade. There is no desktop app to move files easily. And none of that would be so relevant if they had the smallest function to read PDFs: you can’t pick up where you left off. You have to scroll back to your page, and it’s not equipped to read ePub or open it to an app that is. Minimal functionality, and it holds your files for ransom. Total trash.

Guys, get with the program. Your competitor MEGA does background uploading of single selected files with their app! Why not this app? You only offer background uploading if you agree to do a complete came... Show more ra roll backup!!! This is unacceptable!! I want to multitask on my phone when uploading a single video! Also fix the upload status icon. It always shows 10% complete during an upload even when it is truly 25, 50, 75, 99% complete! I'm a loyal paying monthly subscriber. I Pay on time every month! this app your about to loose a monthly paying customer (Me).. My review represents many other people with the same complaints but didn't write a review.. I'm sure they just use a different service now...
Oh and support of Gif's would be nice and would put this app on the cutting edge!!

I say broke. What I should say is nonexistent. I really thought that after I paid for a full year subscription that I would’ve gotten an app that actually does that. If you look at the help files, their instructions for iOS are impossible to follow because MediaFire doesn’t even have what is neces... Show more sary. You’re supposed to be able to go down to the bottom and hit the little gear and then set up for auto sync but none of that actually even exists. Fix immediately or I willNot be renewing my subscription for next year.

Won’t offer any share options other than copying the link, or saving the image (that I just uploaded). Freezes constantly, requiring a force quit. I’d give it a 1 star, but it does technically work on a very limited/crippled level, which at least allows me to (somewhat) easily get large files from my phone to a desktop without a cable or setting up idiotic iTunes syncing on every computer I use.

MediaFire has not been updated in years. Not an exaggeration. As a result, everything I try to upload shows up as having failed uploading until I hit “retry”. It’s impossible to download videos after uploading them. I think the developers moved onto other things and left this in the dust.

Cons: Not all image/video previews are visible within MediaFire compared to Dropbox. Also, when uploading, the status count of uploads does not change until the very end. It will say failed and offer the option to “Retry,” which it will just speed through them all quickly - indicating they are al... Show more l actually uploaded already. Another thing I’ve noticed is if I create a folder it will not appear sometimes, so I’ll create multiples and then they will appear randomly after a refresh and I delete duplicates.

Pros: Free 50GB of storage for new users compared to much lower storage space offered by other top competitors.

MediaFire no longer works ive got pictures and other files here but MediaFire no longer backs up and I can’t access anything. Is MediaFire version current or has it been labeled obsolete and thrown away? I used to love MediaFire. I would rate it a 5 but I’m not sure what happen?

this app is the best cloud storage available but it needs more sorting options like sort by:type-size-name etc...Not to mention that MediaFire crashes when swiping pictures while uploading files.

There is no multi-select or select all option, which makes moving files a nightmare.

Literally the only things that would make this a 5/5 and convince me to make this my go-to cloud storage app is gif viewing support and faster image loading (every loaded image is blurry for a second, but if MediaFire preloaded a few pictures in the queue of a slideshow, everything would load smoo... Not a bad app, but needs more integration and options like the full website offers. The inability to create FileDrop folders from MediaFire is disappointing. Overall, I still use MediaFire to share links using copy & paste on iPhone.

I really enjoy using MediaFire! It’s made my life so much easier. One small suggestion is, I’d change the uploading speed for mobile to be a little quicker without having to pay money or upgrade. I have used this app as a hosting solution for my independent record label for years now. I do all the heavy lifting on the desktop web based version. Recently I added MediaFire to my phone and found that it was very effective for social media-based posts and tweets of my hosted content.

I've been using MediaFire for more than 10 years when most other well-known and now popular similar apps did not even exist. And for free! Most of my important documents, almost all of my phone pictures are securely stored in this app. I still have plenty of storage room. They never changed polic... I had MediaFire for at least two or three years. It has a crash. Keeps all my files easy access from my PC or my apple or my sons a droid. I’m not going to lie, I don’t really use MediaFire for much other than being able to access and download my files to on my phone. It’s fairly intuitive and considering the size of the free accounts, this is a winner.

I have had a this app account for many years now. And I still have all kinds of files that I have kept. I know that it’s always there. And I always know that it’s secure. I needed an alternative to Google Drive to share/transfer/store data. I HATE google and try to avoid their products whenever possible. Im stumped. I cannot find MediaFire in MediaFire Store (iOS), and when i click on the link from the website i get an alert saying " MediaFire is not currently available in your country or region".
The only way i was able to write this review was by finding and tapping MediaFire in my purchas... Show more e history which took me to MediaFire Store Page.

Ok so thats cool and all but when i Air Drop it or send the link to someone else they get the previously mentioned alert. I looked on the Play Store, on the this app website & googled it, and couldn't find anything about it being unavailable for iOS, which I'm assuming would be something the developers would address.

Anyone else experience these issues

It seems like downloading files to your device for offline access is the norm for cloud storage apps (dropbox, box) so why is this app so far behind? I’ve never had a problem with the browser version but MediaFire is so lacking in features it’s hard to recommend.

I store everything on this app. Easy to access from various sources and transfer data back and forth. I just wish more developers would offer them as a backup option.

MediaFire is fantastic, I used mostly to keep it my media organize and on the cloud. Works perfect since day one and you adapt to use on your mobile devices, tables and I also use on my Roku. Great app!!!

I’m using MediaFire for storage of audio files and it has been very easy to use. I can access my account across different operational devices and that makes me happy. Love the simplicity of it.

I would to see More Pictures of You and Lena after Christmas, that would be interested! I can’t wait to see More Pictures of You and Lena on iPad sometimes soon, that would be cool!
