Arise

The layout of Arise is very easy to understand. I love how it automatically updates your calories intake depending on how many steps you take. I also love the joy points. It’s great to have the joy points. So you can have something to look to accomplish each day.

Pretty, but serving sizes limited

Arise has a beautiful layout, but as soon as I started entering foods, I realized this was not going to be a user-friendly format. For example, I entered oatmeal for breakfast, and instead of 1 cup cooked or other measuring cup options, it only offered a bunch of serving sizes in ounces. I have a food scale, but it did not specify if the nutrition facts were for dry or prepared oatmeal, so I was not sure what to enter. And if someone didn’t have a food scale, then they would not be able to track with this unit of measure at all. I think I will stick to MyFitnessPal for now, but hopefully Arise will correct this issue so that it can be more user-friendly.

Good wish it offered more

Wish it offered more for free but maybe I’m just being greedy and I’m still learning it.

Not user friendly!

Trying to navigate this is a real challenge! Not exactly user friendly, or intuitive. Paid the price so I’m determined to figure it out!

I would like it when you add an item it allowed you choices for portion size like; slice ( bread or cheese) teaspoon, tablespoon, cup, ounces. Or number as in number of crackers per serving.

Good for being healthier :)

Great app for tracking calories and it takes in your physical activity as well to calculate how much you should be taking in. It also gives you “awards” like badges or metals to track your successes.

Issue adding foods

Love the format but it’s very difficult to actually add foods due to something not matching with the serving size. This happens even when I’m copying the info straight from the packaging. Otherwise I love Arise and how it is set up!

No option to maintain/gain weight

I have no idea how the interface is because I didn’t bother going passed set up. I put my current weight (which is 10lbs underweight) and the only option i could choose for my goal weight was to go down to 108. Not up. Very disappointing. Guess I’m sticking to MyFitnessPal.

Wouldn’t recommend

At first I really liked Arise until I noticed when you take a picture of the barcode for food, it doesn’t give the correct calories. I scan bread which is 70 calories per slice but Arise says it’s 60 calories per slice.

Eye opening when you count calories. Great app

Very useful

Too complicated

Over done and there is no simple path that I can find. Example If I know the cal count I should be able to enter it.

For me it is a total waste of $26 with no refund possible or support to help me.

I simply deleted Arise and forgot it!!

Not happy. Bar code scanning does not seem to work on Australian products. Unable to modify calorie targets and nutrient make-up, and cannot input recipes and exercise regimes. I feel ripped off!
