Recently I revisited a working file of 50 drawings which include all my redmarks/layers - the funny thing was, I could see my redmarks on each page through the thumbnails at preview mode. but when I clicked on my plans one by one, the layers all turned into blank and there was no way I could undo it. I went back to the preview mode, the redmarks also disappeared permanently. But my elevations are still working..

Some of my drawings suddenly appeared with a texture overlaid ( and no layer shown to be causing this) and pixels missing to such an extent that image is now unusable.
