I’ve used FasterScan for the last few years and if recommend it to friends and family. Stupidly, I didn’t back up of the documents thinking they were secure within FasterScan. Recently I noticed that I must have accidentally or inadvertently deleted FasterScan , though I don’t really know how that occurred. I put FasterScan back on via FasterScan Store and noticed all of my documents from the last few years are gone. Completely deleted and I am devastated. I lost a lot, a lot, a LOT of important data!! I search the frequently asked questions and I search the Google for any help in recovery, and amazingly, I couldn’t find one sentence of help. Please, if anyone knows if there’s any possibility of recovering my documents, please let me know how to go about doing that. Someone should’ve warned me about the possibility of deletion if one accidentally deleted FasterScan . Again, I don’t know how it even got deleted! Best guess is I must’ve hit the little X when I was trying to take a picture or something as iPhone is fickle that way sometimes. Very very upset with this company and will be warning all of my friends and family.

I’ve been using FasterScan now for several years and the simplicity is what keeps me going. I mainly only use the basic options as all I do is copy/scan black and white documents. Being able to categorize everything in folders is a plus. The only issue I’m running into now is that I am using it more and more and to find a specific document I have to spend extra time scrolling through a particular folder- if I’m even looking in the right folder. Would be five stars if there was a search option to filter for documents. Other than that- simple, easy and it just works.

this app is very user friendly. It’s very easy to use. They also make it easy to keep your documents organized by allowing you to create folders that can also be locked so that no one can access the files within it. You are also able to buy access to a cloud server so you can have access to all your files from multiple devices. However, it is not required to use FasterScan . I highly recommend FasterScan for anyone who wants to keep their documents organized and safe.

I used this apps since 2014, what I like this apps is, you can erase the pdf form and edit. They upgraded it that allows you to sign. Hopefully more upgrade that you can type any word aside from you can your pdf using any pen. And also I like most is you can grab your picture or your pdf vice versa to become a jpeg...thank for this great apps...very helpful and easy to use even the scanner is so clear.

This is a solid app. The scanning process is smooth. The ability to scan book pages and correct for page curvature works well. You can’t insert a scanned page — your scan is by default moved to the end but you can drag the page to the desired location. The rudimentary highlighter is handy to mark important sections for later review. The export function is also adequate. You can sign a document (great) but you can’t insert notes and OCR. I would pay (in-app) for leading OCR engine and ability to add notes as I read and scan.

My problems with FasterScan is that I’d already paid for the full version in my iPad, but I had to pay for the full version again in my iPhone. What a rip off! Other apps you pay once for all your Apple devices and you are good to go.

But the biggest problem is that it does NOT use the iCloud to back up and synchronize documents. WTH! It allows you to use other cloud services, Box, Drop Box, and the like. If you want to back up your files to be able to restore them later, you have to pay another 3.99 (8 bucks for me since I installed it in my iPhone and iPad) to unlock the feature that allows you to save it to a Mac or PC. Another WTH!

I have not been able to find a way to delete folders and documents that have been encrypt and you no longer know the password to them.

There are a few other bugs but I’ll save those for a future review.

It ha sheen mentioned it is possible to accidentally delete FasterScan , have to reset your phone due to iPhone issues, loss of phone etc....

There is an “easy” fix to this:
Back up to iCloud, google drive, Dropbox, box, Evernote, and OneDrive is supported... they intend you to buy the full version for $5 and be able to email yourself your data or back it up to cloud.

Have used this app for quite a few years now. I enjoy the option of paying for a fax or whatever added cost there might be as needed. Versus a subscription-based service. I just don’t send that many faxes to do that. I’ve made a lot of money with this app. Haven’t even looked for another option.

I used FasterScan for years, storing all my most important docs here. But when they recently had an iOS update, all my docs were gone, with no way to extract them from the older version of FasterScan . I had missed the opportunity to export them, not realizing they’d be gone forever - no tool, no workaround. Gone. I will never again buy an app that doesn’t store data files in an accessible, external file location and format. And I wouldn’t spend another dollar on a vendor that doesn’t provide a way to recover your precious data. I complained and got a shoulder shrug.

I use FasterScan all the time. I have never had a single issues with it. I have recommended it to family, friends and colleagues numerous times. I have used it to send pdf and jpg files via email, Dropbox, and Google drive. Thank you so much to the developers. Five stars all the way!

FasterScan is trash. If you scan something, once it makes the file, it’s there for good. You can’t move it to a new folder, so if you want your file somewhere else, you’ll have to delete it and scan it all over again. There are plenty of apps that do this basic file management stuff right, but this app somehow messed it up. The UI is also garbage. Most apps use the same UI elements from iOS, but this app makes their own icons. How about instead of copying the first result from Google for your buttons, copy them from iOS? It’s not rocket science.

Only thing missing is the search option

skip scan page only skip the next page while keeping the page you intend to skip.

Been looking for a good product to scan documents and this does the job tremendously well! I’ve been using it for over 8 years now and it’s still great and very user friendly.

Hi. This scanner is great. One problem is it didn’t upload to iCloud and no I can’t find my scanned files. Do I need to subscribe to get access to them? They we’re important docs. TY

This is an easy to use portable document scanner that I highly recommend for busy executives on the go.

The images are sharp and readable...FasterScan is as simple as taking a photo of the document.

Been using FasterScan for about a week and it works really well. No problems & easy to get good pics and also easy & effective at adjusting light/dark, etc. I would recommend FasterScan!

This is a great App to make PDFs. Just take pics, select, edit and convert them into crystal clear pages of complete books into PDF format. I’ve made dozens of books into soft copies right on my phone. Excellent App, highly recommended.

It is very easy to scan a document, frame it and then save it. It let me upload it to my network drive over the internet as JPEG or PDF. The scanned document has a very good resolution.

Super easy to use. It walks you through each of the steps and I’ve never had a problem with it

Below is a copy of my email to FasterScan maker. Don’t use them! If you’re planning to buying, beware. If I had to do it over, I would never had bought it AND upgraded to a plus version.

I’ve had this app for 3 years at least. I even upgraded to this app+. Your company kept pushing for features like faxing, DOCT, and changing app that confuse people. I opened my this app + tonight and FasterScan told me to download this app that is the new app and transfer my documents and license. After I followed the instructions, all my scans were GONE!!!
Neither apps has my scanned documents anymore!! And don’t tell me to go to back up and reload like one of you did when I contacted 2 years ago because reinstalling app after changing to a new phone did not bring me back my old documents. This is an entirely different circumstance!!!
