Poorly maintained. Needs lots of work.
As a stylist at a Supercuts, I have guests tell me that the app isn’t working MORE than when it is working. They either can’t find our location (never shows up on the map), or it wouldn’t allow them to check in at all, it’s never outside of business hours or during a wait longer than 45 minutes either so there’s no reason they should have this issue. I also think that the developers need to include more than just a haircut as a service selection for our guests. It is extremely frustrating when someone checks in and we see just a haircut on our end, come to find out they actually want a full head of highlights or any other time-consuming color service that we are not aware of and aren’t quoting a correct wait time for the in-store guests waiting. There’s a MASSIVE time difference between a haircut and a color service. If we see ahead of time that they are already planning to get color done, it allows us to see and quote a more accurate wait time. We’ve had this issue for as long as the app has been out and we constantly are being asked why we don’t have more service selection options. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!! FIX THIS ISSUE!!!! It is beyond frustrating. Half the time I don’t even recommend the guest to use the app because the wait times they are seeing are inaccurate half the time. I just tell them to call the store instead.
Appointments are confusing
The appointment function is very difficult to understand. If I try to check in before I head to the salon there is often not a time slot for a longer amount of time than the wait says. Most of the time I just select the soonest time and then head to the salon anyway where they mention that I am early and then people who checked in after I checked in online are taken back for a haircut before I am. It is also confusing in that if I am 5 min late for that “appointment” I am put on the list again as if I am just checking in and people who arrive after me are taken back before me. I have sat angrily waiting for 30 to 45 min before when the initial wait on the app said 0 minutes! I have lived in other cities where great clips are nearby and used their app to check in and it is so simple. You just check in and then you have an hour to get to the salon and when you get their you are right in line where you would have been if you had been in the salon when you checked in. My suggestion would be to drop the appointment feature. Either way I am actively looking for a place nearby to go to because this has happened too many times.
What’s the point of check in!?
I usually only write good reviews but there was no way I could today. Just awful. Apps not that great what’s the point of check in if you just get bumped over several times and when you say something they just ignore you. You can clearly see the number your name is and they keep calling others up that are after yours. Mind you they were walk ins that came in way after we got there!!!! Even had a lady that was a check in after our name and they still took her first. Again stated something nicely and they just rudely said we might get you next. The employees were rude to each other while acting like that in front of customers. Waited almost an hour more then what the expected wait time was given. Finally left without your crappy service and took my business elsewhere. NEVR EVER COMING BACK TO SUPER CUTS Again!!! That was the 2nd chance we gave and wow no surprise worst customer service. Again remind me why you even have check in? Never will we use Super Cuts app or services!!
My daughter my husband and I love to go we go to the one in Oswego I see Danielle and she is awesome knows exactly what I want when I come in. My 12 year old daughter will only see Sydney she only does a thinning since her hair is so thick and is a dancer and she takes her time to make sure it is perfect for her and nice and thin and trims it if it needs it done. My husband only goes to Sydney he is a very fussy man never also anyone touch his beard everyone messes it up and she is the the only one so far that has ever done a perfect job. The app is perfect I can check to see who is working how long of wait and schedule my appointments for that day and not have to wait for hours there yes sometimes maybe few extra minutes but that’s not there fault
Easy to Use, Check In and Find MySalon
Love this app. Saves me time. Sends me to the front of the line with other people who just walk in. Allows you to see if a SuperCuts is particularly busy so you can pick a time when you don’t have to wait. As a male with simple cut, this app will draw and keep many customers who do not to wait. It is such a relief to understand your wait time before you arrive. Also, since it check you in, the stylist can see what type of style you had last time and can just confirm specifics on how you want the style this time. Huge plus for a person like me who doesn’t remember the clipper size from haircut to haircut. All around a great app and user friendly. Must have for a SuperCuts customers.
Works As Well As Stylists
I’m very impressed with the Super Cuts stylists at all the Super Cuts I’ve been to. And I think this app works fantastically. EXCEPT ... when I get to SOME of the Super Cuts, the wait time is off from what the app suggested. I get it that it’s estimated. No duh on that. But when I say it works as well as the stylists, I mean the app has to base its time on what the stylists tell it is going on. So if they have three walk in’s off the street, and they don’t tell the system that, it doesn’t know that my wait time is more than 0 minutes. So it says “0 Minutes”. So overall I’m thrilled with the app, but just saying beware that the ETA MAY be off.
App just ok, needs work
The app is easy to use, you select a time and have the option to choose service. My only issue with app is that it does not allow you to chose the many services that Supercuts offers and the salon recommends you use the app especially for checking in. It limits you to just haircuts. If you want to use the highlights or hair-coloring service or any of the other services. I do not recommend using this app. Which is something that should be noted in the app or the developers should just spend a little more $ fixing the app. My recommendation to developer is to add more of the services to app. If you want a service that requires more stylist time then block time for stylist or recommend to book an appointment by phone. This app is too basic and misleading.
I like the concept of the online check in but it is frustrating that you cannot check in when you have a preferred stylist until their start time. It’s like a race against others. If your a few minutes off you may have to get a haircut over an hour later than you prefer. In the past I was able to schedule in advance if I called early based on the stlylists start time and availability. You should be able to check in prior to a stylists start time based on their scheduled hours. Similar to tee times available for golf. I’ve been going to this same stylist for over 15 years and now for the firs time I’m thinking of going somewhere else. Signed Frustrated loyal customer
Couldn’t be easier...
Contrary to the “Official Supercuts Employees in the reviews, the perhaps impatient or ill informed customers and those who are still learning to use a smart phone... I think the app works perfect for just what it was intended for. I have booked my son and I for at least a dozen haircuts and have never had an issue one. It’s important to remember that you cannot book more than an hour in advance. If you have a preference, you can pick your favorite stylist (if they are available). When and if all else fails, pick up the phone and call or sit in the store and wait... ya know... old skool style!
I have been going to this store since I moved to melbourne in 2005 I checked the website this morning to find out if I needed to make an appointment. It said that the waiting time was about 10 minutes,I figured that I will go and wait. After 15 minutes of waiting,one of the employees asked me my name, I told her,she looked on her computer and said that I will have to wait for 1 hour at least to get my hair cut. I feel angry,I couldn’t understand why I had to wait 15 minutes for her to tell me that after she looked up my name in the computer. I can help wandering if it had something to do with my Hispanic name or what. They just lost a good customer and a good tipper too and I will tell all of my patients what happened so hopefully they will not go to any of the Supercuts store Hey I just lost 15 minutes. This is one of the worst apps I have seen in a very long time! It’s too restrictive, won’t actually let you select, then keep your stylist! Too restrictive about selecting a date/time then it’s not really an appointment after you fight thru all the try’s you have to go through to actually do what you want to do! I don’t know about anybody else, but I don’t have time for this & because I am VERY BUSY, I need to have appointments so I can put them on my calendar!!!! AFTER THIS ATTEMPT TO SET UP A TIME TO GET A HAIRCUT I HAVE DECIDED THAT IF SUPERCUTS CONTINUES TO USE THIS APP I WILL NO LONGER USE SUPERCUTS!!!!! And now, the absolute WORST, I can’t submit my input without choosing a name & have tried multiple times and get the message “name already taken, try again ARE YOU PEOPLE NUTS????????
Problem with My Phone Number Fixed
I had to change my phone number and inside the app under my profile it displays the number correctly. On the main page of the app a another phone number is displayed which was not my old number or the new number I entered. Please fix and I will update my rating. Update: Problem Fixed. Thanks. App works fine. Only issue is sometimes it does not list the hair stylist names when trying to make a request.
Love these check-ins... when they work
The biggest problem I’ve encountered is that, when it gets to being within an hour or two of closing time, if multiple people have checked in, but have not shown up, the app will show me that there is a 0 minute wait time, but, at the same time, the app will not let me check in. The app also does not tell me why I cannot check in. What are the consequences of this? Well, seeing as how late evenings are the only time I can squeeze in a haircut, I have typically ended up driving all the way to the store anyways. It’s a zero minute wait, after-all, right?! Wrong! What really happens is that I will first be asked if I have checked in online. I will say that I have tried, but that the app is not allowing me to check in and that it said there is a zero minute wait. I’m then typically told that too many people have checked in and that they are actually booked for the rest of the night. Sorry! It’s a good idea, this app, but these incidents have actually made my experience less efficient, unfortunately.
App hasn’t worked the last three visits
1. Signed up myself and a guest for a specific time, and people who called ahead via phone were all taken before us - we didn’t get our cuts until a half hour after our appt time. Salon said the computer erased all app appointments. 2. Signed up myself and guest at 10am and first available on app was 11:30 and 12:00. Arrived at 10:55 to find only one other person. Why can’t the app allow me to sign up for an earlier time? 3. Signed up myself and a guest. Arrived and only the guest was listed. Checked the app and sure enough only the guest was listed. How is that even possible? I signed myself up first! I won’t use this app anymore. It’s easier to call ahead and apparently takes precedence over the app.
App is Useless
The app does not work for the location I go to: Crossroads at Orenco Station in Hillsboro, Oregon. I checked the app before I left home and also again when I got to the salon. It said there was zero minute wait. I arrived at 12:30 and there were three people waiting. The stylist said the last appointment she had that day was at 4:45. I told her it said zero minute wait. She apologized. I also told her that you cannot select a time when you schedule online. She said that they don’t have enough stylists at that store to use that option. I don’t know why they even have online check in if it doesn’t work. It should be disabled for this salon, and others, if it doesn’t work properly. This app is useless and a waste of time.
