Every time I write something the writing keeps deleting itself and each time I use the lasso tool the app crashes. I've tried all pen types with similar problems. I've tried reinstalling the app, same problem

I've been having problems with using Apple Pencil (2nd generation) with Paper in my iPad Pro 12.9" 6th Gen with iPadOS 17.0.3 Every time I write something the writing keeps deleting itself and each time I use the lasso tool the app crashes. I've tried all pen types with similar problems. I've tried reinstalling the app, same problem I've tried replacing Paperlike screen protector, same problem I've restarted the Ipad, same problem I've replaced the pencil tip, same problem I've used 2 other Apple Pencils, same problem Whenever I use the Apple Pencil in Apple's Notes app there is no problem at all. All smooth and no glitches, no lagging, no crashes. This problem is only with Paper app. What happened? I never have this problem before. Need help.

My two problems have been very much like H. Chiasson’s. The first time, I was just finishing a drawing over a background photograph and the drawing just disappeared. I was never able to recover it though the help line suggested it might be behind the photograph. But no recovery procedure. I redid it from scratch. On my next drawing, I zoomed in the view to work on a detail but when I went to zoom back out to regain the full frame, it was just stuck The full picture was now just the expanded detail in the foreground over a little piece of the background. The only response I have from the help line is to take a picture of my problem. Paper has a pleasing simplicity but its behavior is so erratic (including occasionally freezing) that I would recommend that users avoid it.

Everything was working fine until lately when the image is unstable, shaking, not keeping its position if I enlarge it. Also whatever I draw suddenly disappears as if it was a layer that you can't reposition. Too bad I am stuck with that app cause I have lots of material that I need and can't get rid of. Just lost a whole evening of work cause you can't find help on the internet
