- It is a great third-party app to organize and secure photos without being forced into a cloud subscription.
- Users can easily create albums from the photos in their camera roll or from albums created in iOS Photos.
- The app allows users to break the link between Apple and iCloud and store photos on the device they want.

I loved MyPics. It was a great file storage app, but in their most recent update they force you to agree to their terms of service to continue using MyPics . If you don’t agree, MyPics auto exits. All of the files are just trapped in limbo. It’s a file storage app, what business does Naia Inc. have forcing people to agree to terms of service about their local file storage? From their Ownership of Rights section. “5. Each User shall grant the Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, free, and transferable license with the right to sublicense for the use, reproduction, distribution, creation of derivative work, display and execution of his/her User Contents. Such license granted in accordance with the preceding provision shall remain effective even after the relevant User stops using the Services and/or the User’s Account is deleted.” This means that whatever you or any user stores on MyPics belongs to them and they can do what they want with it. It’s not like this is cloud storage, this is local storage. Whatever you store locally on MyPics can be transmitted to them and distributed at their discretion. This is disgusting.
I wanted to like this app...

I paid for unlimited storage. Once i tried to important about 3k pic of my cats to one album, MyPics kinda crashed. Now it just have files with grayed out thumbnail, when I click it the real photo is blacked out. I cant even delete these photos, when I try to check on “select all photo” to delete, it will only select about 30 photos. I’m not going to go through trouble of repeating it 100 times though. So I just gave up on MyPics. Perhaps people might tell me it was because I had too much photos. Which is true, but in that case they should warn us upfront. Telling the customers that “unlimited storage” is available upon payment, makes you think its capable of importing/exporting large quantity of files.
Getting better...still needs work.

NEEDS: 1) English Support 2) A third level for nested directories. 2 is too limited.
PROS
• App is looking and behaving more polished and professional.
• Nice job on themes.
• Interface is improved, simpler, cleaner.
CONS
• STILL no way to contact support and little English
• Still no way to view photos and albums together. There is no way to mix them, which is a huge negative as most people have some photos that belong to groups and others that are not part of groups. Forcing groups for everything makes the experience bad.
• Unable to add an image to an album via drag. You can drag to reorder albums, but can not drag to organize. You need to 1) tap share icon + 2) select image + 3) tap move + 4) select album from list +5) select group
NICE TO HAVES
• Ability to assign themes to different groups rather than one them fits all.
• Additional backup options that include iCloud and webdav support.
• Ability to view some albums as lists and others as grid (vs one global setting)
• Ability to have a giver for a group that is not a photo, or assigned photo. Like an album cover.
Nice app but some glitches

The basic function of MyPics is great, but there are a few problems including no way to contact the developer for support in English. One problem is that if you create an album and don't add photos to it there doesn't seem to be a way to delete the empty album. Another problemis that if you happen to tap on an empty album and choose the full screen option there isn't a way to exit without killing the program and restarting. If these problems were fixed and you were able to access support in English I would give MyPics five stars.
FAR superior to Apple’s antiquated and near useless Photos app. You can actually select the album cover YOU choose, instead of an arbitrary picture chosen by a multibillion dollar, mindless, apathetic, and cynical corporation. WOW! Imagine that! You can select the order of your pictures! WOW! You can add or delete albums! WOW! You can add or delete photos within the album!!! I can??? With this purchase I’ve jumped from the Stone Age to the Enlightenment. A miracle. this app has a function to control the camera. The only thing missing is control of video. Other than that it’s a great app.
Almost there...

I used to use MyPhoto HD and it was perfect — until iOS 11 killed it off. The two things that app could do that this one can’t are adding and sorting video (which I can live without but liked) and the ability to see the labels you give to photos.
I really would love a view that shows the name of a photo and a small thumbnail so that I can track my photos without having to view them in “order” mode. Add this and I’m a big five-star fan! Also, the sync ability with Dropbox is flawless! Great job!!

Like that I can sort photos my way and that I can label photos. I travel overseas a lot and take many photos. I use my iPad as a backup and download my photos each day. I like to organize and label them right away so I don't forget names of places, etc. Photos has disappointed me in this regard. I usually don't edit my photos until I get home and can put my photos in my computer and edit them on my large screen monitor. This is the best app I've found for organizing and labeling my photos while traveling. So many apps emphasize editing and fancy effects and rely on the internet. When traveling often internet is poor and I can't use apps that rely on the internet. So far this is the winner. And I can continue using my iPad when traveling.

Much better than the Photo app that comes with my iPad. Editing and organization are superior. We work with a LOT of pics in our business and this has been a must for us. While you can email pics directly out of MyPics , we can not get the Apple mail app with Gmail or Spark to pull pics from it. As far as I can tell, my email aps will only draw directly from the gallery, not from this app. Also, can not get the camera app to send pics directly to it. So, we have to transfer pics back and forth frequently which is awkward. Also, can't save pics from incoming email directly to it. Of course it is free so can't complain too much. I like it FAR better than Apple's Photo app for editing and for organization.
If they would make it more compatible with the other apps, especially, email apps, I'd happily pay a fair price for it. Try it. You'll probably like it.
Still Some Bugs

I DO like MyPics, purchased the upgrade, and rely on it. But extended photo editing sessions WILL result in MyPics crashing at regular intervals (maybe every 6th or 7th editing activity). I’ve never lost any data or had any photos corrupted or even lost any editing changes; I just had to close MyPics and re-initiate it (sometimes the crash is just a freeze; other times it crashes all the way to the home screen). I also wish there was a way to move photos around between folders in batches instead of one at a time.
I hate the way Apple maintains photos on my iPhone and I hate my camera roll getting clogged up and I hate that while you can create albums if you delete a photo from your camera roll it also deletes it from the album. So what's the point of albums? With MyPics I can sort my pictures into albums and then delete them from my camera roll. You can only save a certain number of pictures for free - I forget how many now. But it was only a few dollars to upgrade and to me it was worth it.

MyPics is exactly what I was looking for, thank you so very much! Simple and straightforward and works flawlessly :)
If I could ask for something, it’s really a detail. Could you guys please add a settings option that when switched on makes MyPics go straight to ‘All photos’ whenever the user taps the icon for importing pics? I hate that extra tap of first seing the ‘Photos albums’ and tapping ‘All photos’ and only then selecting the pic ai want to import. I don’t use the native Photos albums ever, so for me it really is ‘All photos’ everytime.
Please fix these things with the next update

Add a batch selection feature so if someone goes to upload photos they can add multiple photos at once with the swipe of a finger instead of manually selecting each one. Add a fake passcode feature so it appears that there are other photos in another vault. That would essentially mean two vaults of photos with two different photos. Please update the interface so it looks more like Apples native photo interface. Perhaps make MyPics look a bit more user friendly. The albums sets should be a bit larger. The interface should be edited to flow a bit more. Also, please add GIF compatibility so if someone adds GIFs, they still retain their properties and can move when viewed upon. Overall, MyPics is awesome though. I really like MyPics . It’s awesome. I like the photo editor feature. That’s extremely neat. Great job developing MyPics . Just a bit more tweaks and it’ll be perfect. MyPics deserves 5 stars.

It took a little time to figure out how to do things in MyPics because of a somewhat non-standard UI, but I not only found all the usual digital album functions, but when I began wondering if it could do this or that, things that I have long wanted to be able to do in a digital album, in every case the answer was (after some stubborn searching) YES!! All the restrictions I have suffered with in “Photos” are now gone and I am undergoing a revelation in filing and finding and viewing all 5,000+ of my stored photos, short videos, drawings, paintings, and anything else visual. In all honesty, there is not one thing I’ve tried to do with it that it has not done very, very well. The designers seem to have thought of every need, big and small, and they must be people who have had the same issues that we have had, because they KNOW, and they have made them available, easy and very reliable: MyPics is as solid as a tank.
I see user reviews here that regret that this app doesn’t have one or another important function. So I’ve tried those things and I hasten to assure those users that yes, you CAN do that! It just takes some searching, and sometimes looking for stuff in a different place, or way, from what most of us are used to.
For a utility like this masterpiece the price is ridiculous. Try it and you won’t be disappointed. But give yourself time to learn it.

This uploaded a 7 min. Video in about 6 seconds. Four was equal time upload. My Drive was hours when uploading from there main page but faster doing it from photos and the option on iPhone to upload there. Drive was much faster than My Drive. This apps upload time was amazing! Don't have to stare in space or make lunch like the others and then your photo might still be uploading. Not in MyPics. You blink and photos or videos are ready. I don't know why the subject is saying disappointed. I didn't write that. Would be great if we could make movies here too. Awesome app
Almost all photo management apps are obsessed with date organization to the extent that topic organization is weakened. MyPics puts topic organization on an equal footing with date organization. You can also give photo image files organizationally meaningful names and arrange photos alphabetically if you want. It deserves 5 stars for this feature alone. It also has a superb photo editor. It does not have sync, but I actually like its automatic backup to DropBox better than sync. That may sound strange, but with alpha organized photos, backup has advantages - a messed up chronological sync only yields a messed up chronological sync! I've tried most iOS photo organizer apps. Nothing comes close to MyPics.
Fantastic Photo Organization App

Love! Love! Love! this program. I don’t think I could live without it; don’t want to try. I am a wildlife photographer. I edit my photos on the computer, select the best, crop them to a smaller size and copy to my iPad (12.9). The iOS Photos is totally incapable of doing the organization that I require, currently over 10,000 photos, but this app has more than fulfilled my desires. The editing tools are also great for further in app touch ups! I use several computer tools for enhanced sharpening but there is no better sharpener than the one in MyPics. The blur tool could be useful if there was control over the blur intensity which it does not have at this time. I would recommend MyPics to anyone who is serious about organization of photos!
Just keeps getting better and better!

After Apple changed the photo album layout to 3 images per row, I went on a search for an app that would let me recreate my photo arrangements and mood boards the way I had them.
I tried many apps and this app is the only one that was able to satisfy what I was looking for and more! I now have a much better grip of my photo collections and have several albums with great customization features. If I want to rearrange a photo album and align certain photos with others I can do it with ease. The standard photo library doesn’t actually allow you to arrange the order of photos in albums, it goes chronological only.
(LONG STORY SHORT: If you’re someone who’s particular about their photos and/or make mood board style things - get MyPics )
Really good app.

I have a iPad Pro 10,iPad Pro 12, and 3 regular iPads. Also 2 iPhones. When I take a picture Apple insists on storing the photo on iCloud and all my devices or it gives me endless grief. I hope Apple is doing this as a convenience and not a moneymaker ( but if they were you would be able to turn it off easier or there would be more granularity in the settings). This is a great app that lets me break that link and store the photos on the device I want it on. I use a thumb drive to back my photos on. Also it lets me easily convert all those Live Photo’s (Apple says you can turn that off but every update turns it back on along with passing traffic, the wind...) to regular images. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it doesn’t give you the option to delete the photos after you have imported them like many other apps do. Add that feature and I will be thrilled. Thank You for a very good app. UPDATE: the deletion option, among other improvements, was added. I’m a happy camper and giving 5 stars.
Exactly what I wanted, thank you!

MyPics is for everyone disappointed by the default iOS Photos app, and for when you simply want a great third party app to organize and secure your photos, and not be forced into a cloud subscription. I had a hard time finding MyPics in MyPics Store; which is a sin - MyPics should be at the top of the list! Easily create albums from the photos in your camera roll, or from albums you created in iOS Photos. You can select all photos from your old Photos albums and import them easily into this app. You can then easily delete them from the Photos app, view and manage them, and optionally secure them with a passcode in this app. You will be guided through your options when you create your first album. A very modest $4.99 fee, after you try it for free, allows you to manage an unlimited number of photos - well worth the price! Thank you for making a very user friendly app that does exactly what I want it to do, not what Apple wants it to do!
I am an image hoarder, and too often my collections have done me no good whatsoever because after awhile I couldn't find anything. This is the answer for me. The fact that I can also backup to my Dropbox account removes any concerns that my organization efforts could be lost. I wish there was further levels for files within files but beyond that I'm completely satisfied.
*my first review, written in the first week of my using MyPics was 4 stars. I'm replacing that review with this one after using MyPics for several weeks on my iPad Pro and giving 5 stars because it has exceeded my expectations. I hope to continue using it indefinitely.

When I downloaded MyPics I was super excited to try it out. Aside from the raving reviews, MyPics was easy to learn, a genius at organizing and offered an automatic backup to Dropbox to assure your pictures were never lost (I tested this feature before proceeding with my pictures). I gladly paid the 4.99 to receive unlimited storage counting myself unbelievably lucky to have discovered this life changing app (I’m a complete mess with no organizational skills and almost 50,000 photos on my phone). After downloading and deleting at least 5,000 photos, I closed out of MyPics . HUGE mistake. When I opened it the next day, all my photos were gone... no worries though bc... you know... Dropbox. Except when I checked Dropbox there was only ONE photo saved — if you guessed my test photo, yes u guessed right.. the only photo to actually be backed up... out of 5,001 pictures. I blame myself for deleting them so confidently in the first place, so I’m not even angry about that really. What I am angry about though, like joe pesci angry, is that there is no humanly possible way to contact them. They are an Asian company, with several apps made and marketed for English speaking countries, yet there’s no way to contact them. How can a business that accepts your money not offer any channel of communication? If your company ever decides to let its users connect with them, please let your past customers know. Unacceptable.
