NYU Mobile Reviews

I am a long standing member of the faculty. It is now 6 months since I first tried to use NYU on my iPhone 11. I have downloaded it dozens of times since my first review. It doesn't work! NYU opens, but the screen is frozen, none of the links work. I have to use mobile site. Very time consuming.

Earlier this year I wrote: I have tried for a week to use the this app Mobile App. I have an iPhone 11 with the latest operating system. I download this app Mobile from NYU Store. Then I try to use it, but none of the links work. I have powered down, I have rebooted, I have downloaded NYU dozens of times. It simply does not work. The screen is frozen. And I hear i am not the only one with this problem. Any suggestions?

this app has implemented NYU for covid screener access to building. 50% of the time I can’t load the screener page. Other times it says it has update despite having no updates on App Store. I left for my phone unlocked for over an 1 hour once and the loading wheel just kept spinning. Whenever I see”update” I just delete and reinstall NYU repeatedly until it works. I’ve been using for 3 weeks and have twice not been able to get cleared because it said I didn’t have my vaccine card uploaded. This has been in this app’s records since April.

I think it’s time you guys update NYU , its been a year since it was last done. There seems to be an issue where if I’m not connected to my home WiFi or the University’s WiFi NYU doesn’t seem to load. NYU in my cellular data is turned on which makes me think there’s a bug issue with the cellular connection. If this app plans on using this for the upcoming fall semester there’s no better time than now to get rid of the pesky bugs.

Update: this app updated NYU (or probably the back end since there was no actual app update) since my update and it works wonderfully. That was a really fast turnaround time. Thank you!

There is a bug in NYU that consistently fails to load the interface between NYU and the Duo app. I’ve spoken with tech support about the issue, and I was told that it was an issue with my device specifically. However, I have the issue on multiple devices and have spoken to people who have the same issue...so one star review for this app tech support too.

It's better than previous versions, though still crashes on iPhone 5 when logging in. Finally supports iPhone 5 now.... Though NYU doesn't really have much usability. Before you dole out sums of money into developing NYU , ask what students want!!

Suggestions:
1. Schedule
2. Add/drop classes
3. Map with better functionality
4. Less clustered home page (yes it acts as a news portal, but no one reads them and it just becomes very inconvenient to use)
5. Meals offered at cafeterias
6. Events in NYC (esp events where this app students can have discount, then maybe ability to reserve ticket too in later versions)
7. Schedule visits with shc kimmel wasserman

In all, more reasons why students should use it, more reasons why students need to LOG IN to use it.

Was working fine but all of a sudden I'm not able to login to my this app account with my iPad. The screen gets stuck on the multi factor authentication page with no way to request for a duo push notifications. Been facing this for over a week now. NYU works fine with my other devices.

Really sure why this app decided to build an app that doesn’t have anything functionalities built in, when you click on something, NYU opens up a website externally where you’ll have to login in your this app credentials again..like my undergraduate capstone project was implemented better than this

NYU works well, but it needs updating. It’s missing many important tabs that you find when you’re on your computer, such as the syllabus tab (which is probably the most used one). So update NYU this app!!

Honestly, this app should be embarrassed. Be prepared to not be able to login and if you’re over 40, get your readers. Sad.

Edit- instead of asking people I email you to discuss the problem, just do a thorough testing of NYU . Even better, scrap it and start over. It doesn’t work!

I literally cannot get past the sign in to verify with a call or duo mobile when trying to complete my daily screener. I have to do my daily screener on my laptop because of this.

lots of problems with NYU , mfa page always redirects to a blank screen instead so I can’t set a push through duo. many other glitches in the interface.

Keeps crashing and resetting to the first date. You also always need to log in with your details. Slow and not user friendly.

NYU is supposed to work since this app is promoting it, but it’s now currently crashing!

Doesn’t work through NYU due to two factor authentication.

Come on guys this is this app. This thing never loads.

Does not even open. Just an this app logo and a spinning wheel forever.

iPhone 5 compatibility please!

It's definitely a useful resource with a map specific to this app, Shuttle routes, Directory, CareerNet and Service Connect, and other info related to the school. However, the photos tab is also mistakenly named CareerNet, and I really think NYU would be of greater use if students were able to connect to Albert from it, and maybe add a tool for schedules.

I wish Polytechnic University of New York University ,even though this app students don't consider us yet but by September of 2012 we will be know as New York University of Engineering and Technology but I digress; was incorporated into NYU. It would truly be helpful and appreciated.

Works all right with maps etc. but crashes occasionally when I open it. Would really be useful if you could log into nyuhome or Albert. The resources it offers are a bit useless compared to this app's website.
