Constantly irritated with site being down

I can only log in from digital cookie as a website DigitalCookie completely doesn’t work I get an error every time saying “your cookie season is over or hasn’t started yet!” Which is not true!
I’ve tried deleting DigitalCookie and Re downloading, I honestly am so disappointed because as a leader I cant even train my moms on using DigitalCookie cause I can’t even use it!! Total let down as Girl Scouts USA puts all their faith into DigitalCookie and without it we have a much harder time selling cookies. I wish Girl Scouts would invest the time into finding amazing software and coders who really know modern technology and can create a more streamline user friendly experience! And for goodness sake, a card reader!! We have to download 3 apps each in our troop plus another as leaders and we should be able to do all of that on DigitalCookie.

Helps my Girl Scout!

My girl goes up to a door and says, Hi my name is Melanie would u like to buy some Girl Scout cookies!? And if they say yes and say pay with credit, IM SO HAPPY I HAVE DigitalCookie ! One day I went up the a door and someone says I can only pay with credit. So I get DigitalCookie up and do all that beeswax. One day a guy actually said I only pay with credit, another girl came and didn’t have app ready so, ya. SO SLOW! But sometimes it actually helps my girl learn by me asking questions from DigitalCookie . Someone who is my friend actually said that they don’t have that. My phone tots glitches. But it barely does that anymore.

Needs A Card Reader!

Obviously a way to swipe or scan credit cards would make DigitalCookie even better. Hopefully that will be added as GSUSA is moving toward more digital cookie sales.

Once there is a scan or swipe function added I would like to have a booth option that troop cookie managers can set up. Designate the girls selling, use DigitalCookie for the booth credit card sales, then the girls are automatically credited with the sales in eBudde. Have either an automatic even distribution or have a manual distribution option. This could be done from the cookie manager digital portal using troop cookies.

Ugh!

DigitalCookie says my password is incorrect. I try to reset it, it tells me that the email is not associated with an account so it won’t send a link to reset password (it is the email we’ve been using to sell cookies online for a few years now). So I try to set it up again (since DigitalCookie says it doesn’t exist) - and it tells me that email is already associated with an account 😫. So I can’t change the password to sign into DigitalCookie (even though I have no trouble signing in to the account online). And I was able to use DigitalCookie a few years ago. Then I started getting this error and haven’t been able to get it to work since. I have uninstalled and reinstalled DigitalCookie . Nothing works.

Complete junk

Login doesn’t work.
I can login via phone on my chrome or safari or my laptop. But when I try DigitalCookie about 75% of the time it tells me bad password then locks me out, I get the email unlock, type in the EXACT same pw on a web browser and it works. Does not stay logged in. Not worth the screen space on my phone.
Doesn’t have a share via txt or email button you have to manually enter a name and email address; total pain and not useful at all to share this way. I get it u want to track how many how many times we’re sharing it and the only way you can do that is the way you have it is not useful or helpful

Great app!

DigitalCookie is good- easy to navigate and sell cookies. Love the cookies in hand option and that it takes credit cards. However, typing in all the information (ie. card number, customer name, email, etc.) required is slow and cumbersome. It would be SO much better if DigitalCookie contained a credit card reader where you use the phone’s camera to read the card instead of having to type it all in. It would make using DigitalCookie for cookie booth sales more feasible.

The app is great but just one fix up

DigitalCookie is so so great but I have to log in every time when I leave and join DigitalCookie so please fix that but overall DigitalCookie is SO SO GREAT. But please fix the login! Also I love how it keeps track of my cookies and how
It helps me do the online orders and who ordered! I think every Girl Scout should have DigitalCookie but I would still like u to fix the problem that’s do annoying

Improvements needed

The concept is great but I have a few suggestions for DigitalCookie developer. It would be great if you could create a way to not only take credit cards but to track all of your cash/in-person orders as well. It would also be great if we could select in-person delivery only, if we have stock of an item that is sold out. Like right now I have adventurefuls but they are not in the cookie link because they can’t be shipped. If I had a way to manually control my personal inventory it would be so helpful.

Cookies In Hand !

Having the option during the 2019 cookie season to hand cookies to customer now, and not need to enter in an address made a huge difference. My daughter sold 70+ boxes of cookies this way to people who didn’t have cash. Previous years no one wanted to spend the time to enter in a delivery address at a cookie booth.

Having the cookie in hand delivery option makes DigitalCookie worth having

Could be way better

It’s buggy. It constantly needs to be logged in to despite having the “keep me logged in for 12hours” on
The keyboard sometimes doesn’t come up until you force close DigitalCookie
A scanner to “read” cards would be so much nicer than entering all the info
Tap to pay, Apple Pay, scan to pay. Something to make that process easier would be helpful.
Being able to see data is nice. Switching between girls is easy. Not sure why some things just don’t work.

Don’t log me out!

This is a half-baked cookie... app :P

Most annoying thing is that it logs me out every few hours even if I turn on “keep logged in for 12 hours”. I want it to keep my account logged in forever since I check the cookie sales fifteen times a day. And don’t give me that “for security reasons” lazy answer. There are many secure apps can keep session info for a lot longer period. I can understand session timeout after a week or two, but a few hours is ridiculous!

More importantly, DigitalCookie does not refresh when new sales come in. There is no “refresh” button. Only way to get it to load new info is to log out and log back in.

Obviously this is website converted app and use session info for the web portal which has the same annoying short session timeout. Make a real app! Hire better developers for this!

DigitalCookie has changed to fit the times! Now Girl Scouts can learn different ways to market their product and with the pandemic and touchlesss solutions: the digital cookie comes to the rescue!

Cookies sold? Cookies on hand?

DigitalCookie would have been terrific if it allowed you to put in how many cookies the girls sod at their booth or to friends and family. My Brownie had to keep a separate tally sheet for that. The old app was better because she was able to type in how many she has sold. Please improve site ASAP through an update for these girls. Thank you

Doesn't stay logged in

What is the point of giving the option of "keep me logged in for 12 hours" when that option doesn't actually work. I may be doing things in DigitalCookie , then click away for a moment and have to re-log in EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Can’t log in to app, only webpage

DigitalCookie is useless. I can’t log in at all. I can log into my account only via the website. App tells me my email address or password is wrong, despite using the saved email/password stored in my phone that works on the website. Not impressed. And, like everyone else, Girl Scouts need a way to take credit cards - we lose a lot of sales because people just do not carry cash these days.

Ok but could be much better

1st - the keep me logged in for 12 hours is not working for me... so every time I want to use it I have to login again which is annoying between facemasks and not being able to use faceid to login as well...
2nd- maybe allowing a phone camera to input the credit card details would be much faster/easier

I think you are wrong Vanesa! Digital Cookie is a great way to check cookie sales and how many boxes I’ve sold. 👍! DigitalCookie is sometimes confusing and takes me to other sites, but over all it’s a great app.😄😃😁Sometimes it takes ages to load and it takes like an eternity to get logged in and I half to log in every single time!

Love DigitalCookie. Game changer. Only one thing I would change would be how credit cards are entered. I would like the option to scan the front of the card and it put the information in the order instead of typing it in.

Obviously there will struggles when things are changing but PLEASE fix DigitalCookie !

It is all kinds of inaccurate on my end & what customers see. I’m not talking about the turning off some cookies either due to National shortage. I mean showing accurate tracking of what a girl has sold so her & her customers can see. That’s literally THE main function is to help the girls & it’s not doing so.
Every year there seems to be something wrong that makes it not work like it is said to.

Stay logged in

Let me stay logged in so that customers don’t have to wait for me to log into DigitalCookie each time. I toggled the option to stay logged in for 12 hours but it never does. Please fix this option.

Improved from 2017

It's a credit card payment option for individual Girl Scout cookie sales ...NOTHING ELSE. With that in mind it is greatly improved from last year typing in a customers address was ridiculous and intrusive. Credit card info and email address are much more realistic. Having to do separate orders for donations is a pain though...

Why..

Girl Scouts is such a big organization, why can't they hire someone to clean up their virtual outlets? - their website is a hot mess, (multiple accounts for things that could be combined into one)and DigitalCookie is not that different. So to set up a digital account, you have to have a lot of inner strength because you will want to throw your phone out the window. Once that's done and you finally have your account going, you will need to log in EVERY TIME you use DigitalCookie. Yes, you heard it right. An app is supposed to make it easier and not have tou log in using browser every time, but this one does not. Then, when you do log in, you can only have an overview of your sales. OR you can make a new sale/purchase, but that's it. You cannot add your online sales on DigitalCookie to keep track of your goal. It's not very practical or useful, really. Use the browser. And either way, good luck! 😒

Worse than worthless. Zero stars.

Absolutely worthless app. Getting this and the girl's website set up was a massive waste of time. Girl Scouts has inexplicably allowed regional councils to block direct delivery orders from being placed in Digital Cookie—the only thing that would give Digital Cookie any value—and GSOSW has inexplicably chosen to do this. No local pre-orders or direct sales allowed, only online orders with a $10 shipping charge. It's infuriating and a sign of very poor decision making and technology planning and design in the Girl Scouts organization.

If we were actually able to use DigitalCookie , we would also be frustrated by the requirement to painstakingly, manually log in every time, and by other clunkiness in DigitalCookie . As it is, though, we will never be able to use DigitalCookie because of its idiotic design, so the point is moot.

Disappointing

My daughter is a new Girl Scout, so this is her first year selling cookies. I was really excited there was an app for cookie sales! Then a few things started to bother me: We couldn't take credit card payments for form sales (Council's choice apparently), her goals didn't update in DigitalCookie when I updated online, her form sales didn't update in DigitalCookie after being updated online either (I checked both a day or two later as DigitalCookie said it wouldn't update immediately). Her online sales DID update, but that's about it. Because we couldn't do credit card charges for form sales, DigitalCookie was pretty much useless.

Not friendly for our customers

In the past our council used another credit card processing tool for booths and other sales. This year it switched to DigitalCookie. The customer experience has gone way downhill – the customer has to enter a lot of personal information and answer questions before they can even enter the card. Really they don't want to volunteer for Girl Scouts, they just want to buy cookies! The whole process, even entering just exes for a lot of information, takes several minutes. Last year I could enter all the credit information, even if I was not swiping, in under a minute. Not good!

Another GS Technology fail

It was a waste of time to get excited over DigitalCookie because the only thing you can do w it is take credit card orders. And of course Im getting orders from people who genuinely want to order from my daughter and to support her troop and would rather pay cash/chk and of course the order form is w my daughter because she also needs it on hand!! Lack of current technology and applications continue to hinder the GS experience I am finding in our area. And it's so frustrating because I also have a son in Boy Scouts and to see where they are going w Scoutbook ...it just dumbfounds me how antiquated GS technology is in our area :(

Major Improvements Needed

Used during 2016 sales period. Took too long to process payment. Liked selection of order (boxes of cookies) and delivery options. Disliked need to enter full customer information for transaction (name, address, email, credit card info) - would like to see a swipe method instead to speed up sales and increase customer satisfaction. There were a few sales we missed out on because the customer did not have enough time (or did not want) to share personal information. For improvements think "Square" ease and speed.

Very happy

I am very happy that we can take credit cards for purchases of cookies as well as the payments feed directly into the ebudde website. I only wish it stored my log in information and that we got a confirmation email when it goes thru not just the customer. Overall very happy with DigitalCookie

Disappointing

DigitalCookie is disappointing. There isn't anything you can actually do with it, other than place orders. I thought she would be able to access her digital cookie account via DigitalCookie . It didn't even show her profile picture, or give her an option to upload one. When we tried to place an order, the states for the billing address won't scroll past the first few states (we live in VA). We ended up having to cancel the order because we couldn't enter the customer's state. Very embarrassing!!

Straight to the Point Transactions!

I used the Girl Scout Digital Cookie App during a family party and sold cookies instantly. One of them claimed he didn't have cash on him, so I let him know that he can pay using my phone! It's really great and easy to use. Thanks!

Terrible App!

DigitalCookie is so poorly designed and administered. My daughter’s app has absolutely no information available for her to be able to manage her customers’ orders. Every year there are problems with logging on. For a Cookie campaign that generates millions of dollars for their organization, they need to get a more well-designed app! And streamline all the Girl Scouts activities more efficiently. I’m tired of getting multiple emails re: all the different signups.
