Awesome app, horrible customer service and support; do rebates at your own risk

I have been using this app for over a year now, and am a big fan of SellPro in general. It’s a simple concept; you learn about products, and in exchange they give you points which can be used to try to win prizes. I have won a slew of gift cards and products since I signed up, and learned a ton in the process.
However, I recently gained a $100 rebate on a printer through SellPro , and let me tell you it has been a NIGHTMARE trying to use it. I sent in all the information the form required, only to get an e-mail telling me my rebate had been denied because of “missing information”. Upon further investigation, I discovered that this app had screwed up their instructions for the rebate, so I contacted them trying to figure out how to proceed. It has been 3 WEEKS and all I have gotten back is first nothing, and now “We are investigating!” It should NOT take 3 weeks to figure this out, and as a CS rep for a company I am pretty appalled by all of it.
So long story short, good app but horrible support. In all honesty, I wouldn’t use any rebates from this app ever again. Luckily, if you win a normal prize it just gets sent straight to your email, so you almost never have to deal with support.

SellPro

I’m all honesty I think SellPro is pretty cool as first time user having been using it a couple days now it’s easy to navigate. The only issue that I just made a claim for my first reward and the my telling me that it could take up to two weeks. There should definitely be a shorter verification period process. Suggestion would be that a verification process should happen while you are signing up for this.

No support

SellPro when it works it works great but the issue comes when there’s a problem is near impossible to get a resolution. This is the second time I’ve had an issue with the prizes. The first time I lost a $20 chilis gift card because they never sent it and after contacting them three times I was able to get nowhere with the emails. I am unable to find a phone number anywhere so that’s the only form of communication I have to them. That was about a year ago, I just let it go because it was just a huge headache, now I’m having the same issue with 4 prizes I got from the pro shop. I’m suppose to be getting 4 ($5) Starbucks and they did sent it to me but when I tried to add the funds to my Starbucks it says the gift card had been added already. As in they just sent me the exact same gift cards I had previously won from a different time. That’s not right, they can’t just give me a gift card with $0 balance. I emailed them again but still no luck with getting a resolution. Most frustrating thing ever. I feel as though this can’t be resolved i won’t use the application again. It’s ridiculous having guess if you’re going to get your winnings or not. That’s not winning, that’s been mentally abused.

Nice idea for prizes, but don’t expect to actually win anything.

While I’ve won a few things over the last year, it is mostly some small gift cards here and there. You will see pics of computers and nice hardware but don’t think that you will EVER get a chance to win any of it. I haven’t even gotten the chance to answer the questions to win them at all. It’s obvious that it’s not random as well. You can see the gaps that are programmed between win opportunities so that it keeps you on just long enough to get you to peddle their product for them with the hope you will get something out of it. Don’t bet on it. And yes, just because you land on a prize doesn’t mean you will get it. You will have to answer questions that sometimes weren’t even talked about in the “training” they give you. Make no mistake, this is them getting you to sell their product for them with no consideration for your compensation. Good luck.

Learn to Earn!

I LOVE this app! In this past year i’ve earned a little over $200 worth of gift cards, which have paid for countless mini dates for my boyfriend, our daughter and I and he loves it cause it keeps money in his pockets! I’ve noticed recently everything i’ve earned has been specifically from HP which I am grateful for, however I’ve got so much knowledge with Canon product and it’s like my odds of winning something from any other provider other than HP are slim to none! I spent like 100 of my sell points on trying to win a T7i just to use as a backup camera and out of my several attempts over days I decided to give up. Out of those 100 points I never really landed on anything.. Regardless, i’m still VERY happy with SellPro for providing rewards to learn about vendor product.

Let’s be honest

In today’s world, everyone wants anything free they can get which is one reason I initially loved SellPro. I frequently won gift cards and even a couple nice tech items. Then everything changed. They sent out alerts around the end of the year saying they were going to update some stuff. I haven’t won anything since, it makes you re-certify quizzes you’ve already taken, constantly. It send anywhere between 2-10 push notifications a day which is super annoying. Now you have to buy your prizes which is nearly impossible, not to mention the occasional gift card they do put for free never works! Nothing more frustrating than goin to get food and being told your gift card is invalid. It’s good for learning but honestly it takes up a lot of data and the constant notifications are severely annoying.

Interesting app

Great training tool.
A HP rep has told me of SellPro and l forgot to refer to Joe.
Splendid app for gaining knowledge with HP/Canon products and Weekly random updates (most of the time relates to tech). Also has great tips for new employees and even seasoned vets. With the addition of play-zone feature you can slowly lose fate of life as time pass by, but you do get a chance to win some nifty gadgets/tech. Basically like watching TV, but with only adds. SellPro has a key feature which list the ink usage of most HP/Canon printers. The videos are quite entertaining and well worth watching until very last two seconds of the video.
Overall a wonderfully delightfully professionally crafted app. SellPro itself turns my profession into a bundle of smiling joy!
Thank you this app

Other companies need to jump on this!

I love SellPro and genuinely enjoy using it. More companies need to get on board with using this product though. HP is killing it with their videos, which are hilarious, entertaining and informative.
Epson, Canon, Dell, Samsung and more could definitely learn a thing or two about marketing on SellPro.
With HP’s great videos, it’s now easier for me to sell an HP product than others. I remember more about them with the videos of the HP guys and parodies like TSI.

One request is I’d like it if I could filter the courses by content type. Specifically ones with videos and ones without. If I’m not able to watch a video right then but can read an article, it helps to know which ones are just reading.

Amazing app

SellPro is very informational! I’ve used some of the tricks I learned with some of my customers, especially the ones who have a little more time on their hands and truly want to know about a certain product.

As for the prizes, they’re awesome too! I’ve gone days without winning anything and there are other times when I win a lot. The best chances are in the ‘ProShop’. Try to buy stuff on there, especially the ones that cost nothing. As for the ‘PlayZone’, go for small amount gift cards and Starbucks! I’ve easily won over $200 worth of Starbucks gift cards. Most of them are from HP, but I wish it was easy winning those Canon gift cards. I don’t think I’ve ever won anything from Canon.

Combine Mall and Sell Points!

I got SellPro in order to do the trainings so I can better understand a lot of the printers and tech that we sell at my store. It also gives me information for future investments for my family and I. It’s very informative and interesting. My issue is the mall points and sell points system. How is it fair for someone who has been doing trainings for hours at a time to earn sell points, to then lose almost all of them in the Play Zone and get no prize whatsoever. It’s impossible to get Mall Points and even if you are given the opportunity, it’s only for 10 points and there is still a very low chance you’ll get it. Sell points should be able to be used in the Mall, it’s only fair to anyone who’s been on SellPro for hours and to see them on dwindle away for nothing.

Stinks

I never win anything. I am new to SellPro . i thought it was an awesome way to learn what i needed to learn outside of work, and get a little extra on the side. like i said at first , IVE NEVER WON ANYTHING. i spent 6 plus hours on a saturday just going through trainings and getting coin. went into your gravity game and spent over 300 coin, throughout the day, and got NOTHING. not even a 10$ buffalo wild wings card. The best thing i won was a “free turn”. Because of this, it’ll get a 1 star. and i probably won’t be wasting my time getting on it again. i feel bad bc HP reps come in all the time asking for us to do them, only to never be reinforced to do it again. I will hold on until someone informs me the chances of winning g have gone up.

Good for learning, bad for prizes

I’ve been using this app for well over a year now. Although it’s a great application designed to better your understanding of HP products as well as other new tech products, I still haven’t won anything substantial. I’ve won many $5 Starbucks gift cards but I’ve never won any “big” prizes despite using it everyday.

Intel Retail Edge is a much better application even though it takes a minimum of 3 months to win any big prizes. I’ve won well over $500 worth of stuff on there whereas on intel I’ve maybe won $200 worth of small things.

Even though it’s not the best for winning prizes on, it still is a really good learning application.

Love this app!

SellPro is great. I work in tech sales and SellPro has taught me so much in the way of informing my customers and guiding them to the product that is just right for them. PLUS you get to win some great prizes. I’d love to win a high end laptop or a camera but I have won several gift cards to local establishments. Not to mention you can actually purchase items with the free points that you earn from courses. And these items are not cheap junk. Check it out!

App was going well. I thought it was legit up until...

I was interested in SellPro up until I was in the middle of a course and working toward getting 10 mall credits, but as soon as I finished it, I didn’t receive the credits because it just randomly said “logged out for inactivity” while I was active!!! Give me my credits and I will review at a higher rating. Credits are harder to get. I thought credits and coins were the same, but apparently not. Coins just get you gift cards but they don’t give you credits for merchandise which is what SellPro is supposed to be about!

Love it but...

I really love this learning tool and have learned a lot but it would be nice to have a 10 or 15 second rewind button while watching a video to back up if I missed something or want to review something. I understand if you don’t want to have a 10 or 15 second button to go forward so that people can’t fast forward through the video but the rewind/back up button should be a no-brainer and easy add. Thanks.

Pretty worthwhile

I normally do a lot of the learnings and I legitimately learn a lot about current and upcoming products. While some of these items may not be pertinent to my department I enjoy being up to date on a lot of the biggest products available and the differences between them. I also really appreciate the opportunities to win prizes and have definitely enjoyed the new updates that allow you to spend points.

Don’t expect much

Good for content. You aren’t bombarded with loads and loads of information daily. It is fairly quick to read through and complete, but it isn’t really exclusive content that you wouldn’t be able to find elsewhere. There is a Gravity game where you have a slight chance at winning a prize, but at the end of the day, the chances of winning are next to nothing. The time you invest in trying to win is, in no exaggeration, more than what the prize is worth. Also, the prizes you win are used or refurbished so you can feel like that much more of a winner when and if you do win.

Enjoying learning for work

I have been using this app since I was hired at my home store and have loved being able to train on relative products we sell and being able to earn rewards at the same time. So far I have won over $500 worth of gift cards, rewards, and even a Canon Printer!! I would recommend this app to anyone available through their employer- it’s a great tool for progress and even better for the sweet treats :)

Glitches!

Won HP 5540 and instant ink yesterday and a pop up told me to go to awards to claim it. When going to awards, SellPro crashes before I can get to the screen. Also, had a retail sales associate won a chipotle gift card yesterday and tried to use it later that evening and the cashier said it’s invalid. After scanning and manually entering the $10 gift card wouldn’t work. The this app app has many issues and is not dependable, even when you do win you cannot actually get your prize. I’m a brand rep and I can say that both myself and the stores employees are less motivated to use SellPro because it’s not dependable.

cool app but disappointing

SellPro is fine. it’s easy to understand how to use SellPro and learn from it. I don’t expect to earn prizes, but if I get something in the proshop, I expect to receive that prize! recently I got four $5 starbucks gift cards that didn’t cost any coins, but when I received them in my email, the balance for all four was $0. I thought my starbucks app was glitchy, but I checked the balance online and still $0. pretty disappointing especially since that $20 I should’ve received gets added into the total amount of $$ ive “claimed”.

Learning

SellPro teaches you a lot about the different products that Hp and Canon offer. The gift cards are okay that you earn however I feel the rest is a bunch of mess. I have unlocked almost everything. I have 47 courses left to unlock and had over 333 coins and was playing for a sprocket which isn’t even that high of an item and still didn’t win. I am now at 250 coins and if each is 1 pt for every time you play you can feel my frustrations. At this point there is no need for me to finish the other courses because some are too long and boring especially when you are doing this on your own time. This is not company time being used to complete this training
