I enjoyed using my ipad lancet app to read articles for some time. Love the content but interface needs work. Allows direct PDF mailing of articles which is superior to my several other medical journal apps.
Recently however there is a terrible bug.
When fetching new articles it crashes every time. One can manually hit the cancel button to prevent crash but can never obtain new articles. This is the most recent app version paired with iOS6 newest iteration.
Worse there is utterly no tech support for TheLancet either via lancet or parent company Elsevier. Nor is there any community forum to discuss such issues.
Thus this review is my only hope someone may address this terminal app flaw.
I can only hope it works with the net update or iOS iteration

Dec 2017 revision doesn't work running iOS 10.3.3 or iOS 11.2. I'm waiting to hear back from Elsevier.

Poor style . No retina display support . No ios 6 support . Crashes thrice in one hr mainly during shifting to next article . Should take a lesson in execution from NEJM s app for iPad.....an offline + online subscriber

This is a great app for all Medical Professionals. Easy to use and intuitive navigation along with clearly defined topics make TheLancet a must have for all medical professionals.

Very buggy, crashes frequently. Continue to need to prompt downloads, not delivered as new issue but as "naked" articles, cant open in different app, and need to individually delete each article. Hard to understand how poorly this is executed.

I have apps for several medical publications and this is without question the worst. It's even difficult to say exactly why since it fails at all levels. There is no saving grace. They just need to scrap it and start over. At least I havetheprintissur
